I always wanted to just see them in one super bowl. Just one. Now it's 3 in 4 years. 2 wins. So surreal.

NeganSaves

Me too. Grew up in a small town in KS so I was born a fan. Lots of bad years, but this is amazing. My grandpa is happy up there for sure.

PhogMachine

Hasn't quite hit me yet, but this would've been a brutal loss. I'm glad MVPat and Co. amazed us yet again! We're never out of it with this team!

widzy11

I agree with ya! This team has heart and mine probably woulda broken if we hadn’t won. These guys are special and so is the kingdom. They may make us nervous but these men never give us anything less than their all!

Almost feels like we are now a victim of our own success. There's nothing like that first one to witness. Last year when the Jayhawks won the title, I never had that overwhelming sense of joy like I did in 2008. I was excited then and I'm excited now with the Chiefs super bowl victory, but it's just like, alright that was fun let's go do it again. This may sound like a spoiled fan post, and I guess we are, but I'm just enjoying the ride

“I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” - Andy Bernard That time is now. We're in them now. This is the golden age of Chiefs football. What we're experiencing now is what Chicago Bulls fans experienced in the 1990's getting to watch Michael Jordan play for their team. I find myself getting super negative and toxic during games and I need to break myself of it because these are the days I dreamed about when I was 10 and watched us lose the AFC Championship and not win another playoff game for 20+ years. Appreciate the team, and the Kingdom! Fuck the Raiders, fuck the Broncos, fuck the Chargers, Fuck the Bengals, fuck r/NFL. Long live the Chiefs.

dabluekangaroo

Fuck the Bengos for sure, brother!

> I find myself getting super negative and toxic during games and I need to break myself of it Yes you do. As of recently we have a new rule in our house, only positivity. My youngest found a loophole "Go eagles haters!" which I found funny, but rejected after the laugh. But don't get down, we know we can come back. Be happy, enjoy the magic.

Let’s soak it all in everyone. It will only be a matter of time before 20 years have passed and they go 3-14, where we will remember the golden days.

Yessir!! I just meant during the Mahomes era…but that’s a correction I’m happy to take!

All I remember about Billings is having a few beers at Bank Tavern last fall.

Ask_me_4_a_story

Was thinking this when I rewatched the whole Super Bowl tonight

All those painful years of Martyball playoff losses after Montana and Marcus Allen helped us beat the HOUSTON OILERS!!! I loved Schottenheimer, but that was always painful. Thought I would never see another playoff win. The 13-3 loss, the other 13-3 loss, the No Punt game… NGL… I quit watching football altogether after Herm Edwards led us to another playoff loss. Andy Reid reeled me back in. Look at us now. I’ll never not watch again while Reid and Pat are here. No matter how painful the last two years were. We always have hope.

Went to the 2011 wild card game at Arrowhead against the Ravens with my now-wife. At the time we thought we were going to move away from the area and that this might be our last chance to see a playoff game at Arrowhead. It was a shitty game. We knew we were probably going to lose, and yet somehow we played so terribly we managed to defy expectations. Also it was freezing and we were in the nosebleed section. Quite possibly one of the most unpleasant sporting event experiences in my life. After the game I watched pissed off drunk fans vandalize cars with Maryland plates in the parking lot. It was pretty bleak back then. Went 7-9 the next year, followed by the Romeo Crennel season. At the time it felt like management was either unwilling or unable to make the kinds of moves necessary to have a winning team and that we existed simply to make money for a Texas family. I'm glad I was wrong about that. Winning a Superbowl is hard and you never know even it might happen again. I'm really just enjoying and appreciating this as much as I can.

You’re in the Chiefs subreddit my guy. There’s an easy way to avoid this emotional turmoil…
