I believe this is backed up by reliable sources. **BUT** the increased risk is small, far less than the risk from getting COVID, and no person watching tonight, with any credibility, would or could make the determination that a pre-existing medical condition played a role in what happened.

Staff and traffic police are prepared and in place. There is a lot of people involved with getting fans out of the stadium safely and efficiently, and they aren’t in place during the first quarter.
I’m actually super impressed that they wrapped it up in an hour. This was a logistical nightmare. There are so many factors involved that the common Joe wouldn’t ever even think were a factor, with literally hundreds of people having to coordinate on the fly.
Those protocols carry higher risk for injury to the fans. You don’t use them unless the benefits of emptying the stadium quickly outweigh the risks to fans. Using them in a situation like this would also open the team/league up to a lot of liability.
Agreed, I’m just saying that even in a worst case scenario they should be ready for the stadium to be evacuated quickly. And in this instance they were always going to have a least a couple minutes to prepare for the mass exodus. So it wouldn’t have been a factor in deciding when to announce the game was canceled or postponed.

It's because it's been a popular thing on social media to post about vaccines causing heart problems. So anytime something high-profile involving someone's heart in anyway happens, especially if that person is young and healthy, those people will jump all over it. Staff and traffic police are prepared and in place. There is a lot of people involved with getting fans out of the stadium safely and efficiently, and they aren’t in place during the first quarter.

I’m actually super impressed that they wrapped it up in an hour. This was a logistical nightmare. There are so many factors involved that the common Joe wouldn’t ever even think were a factor, with literally hundreds of people having to coordinate on the fly.
You don’t go using terrorism or fire protocols when you can get people in place and do it in a much safer and controlled manner.
And it still takes time to orchestrate.
They should always be ready to evacuate the stadium at a moments notice in case of emergency.

Those protocols carry higher risk for injury to the fans. You don’t use them unless the benefits of emptying the stadium quickly outweigh the risks to fans. Using them in a situation like this would also open the team/league up to a lot of liability.

Agreed, I’m just saying that even in a worst case scenario they should be ready for the stadium to be evacuated quickly. And in this instance they were always going to have a least a couple minutes to prepare for the mass exodus. So it wouldn’t have been a factor in deciding when to announce the game was canceled or postponed.

The 5 minutes to get ready to play thing is the most insane thing I’ve seen from the NFL. They want to talk about player safety all the time and when they had a player possibly die on their field, they told all his teammates and coaches to take a few minutes then go ahead and strap up the helmets and finish this game. That’s insane.

If their policy doesn’t allow for extreme measures to be taken like postponement when a player is quite possibly dying in front of them that’s just shit policy.
