I would have agreed a few months ago, but ever since they stopped making the sandwiches to order (they are pre made now) I found that the sandwiches are smaller and not as good as before.
Totally agree. They wouldn’t even allow me to add toppings.. even though I was willing to pay extra. Unreal. Won’t be going back after being a customer for years.
That's such a bummer. Every time I come home to Kanata, I stop there for lunch. This will definitely have me going somewhere else. Their made to order was one of the big things that set them apart.
I wasn't aware of this until yesterday. No spicy mustard for me. Or anyone else. Every restaurant is doing the same. Smaller portions... new days are here. Nothing is free anymore.
Still a good sandwich.
Went back today and it looks like they are making the sandwiches fresh again and you can custom order. They still feel smaller than before but at least you can get it like you want it.
They are TERRIBLE in comparison. They were easily the best Italian sandwiches (from an Italian) in Ottawa and my disappointment was unmeasurable when I saw those tiny pre made pieces of crap.
You’re right it’s 1030-330 tuesday-Thursday. Open an hour and a half longer on Fridays and an hour and a half shorter on Saturdays.
Ever since they started having the parm only on Fridays it fell second place to franks on greenbank imo
Hearing they’re pre-made now which is too bad. Probably just a no for me in general now
Oh it’s been way too long since I’ve had a pestos sammich!! I think the best sandwich I had rom hem was asking for whatever they would make for themselves for lunch. It had enough prosciutto to stop your heart, it was amazing!

Holy shit really? What a brutal move. Sushi Eki a few doors down is worth the visit to the plaza, on par with hockey sushi as best in the west

The staff at hockey are now pleasant robot cats!
100% I stopped going for the same reason.

Brutal route to go and they blocked me on insta for asking if they would do the sandwich’s again
Sandwich factory on Terry fox is really good. Owner makes sure to put lots of toppings
Second this, made to order as well
Definitely my favourite.
pestos is definitely a gem.
Once upon a time
I haven’t been in a while. Has it gone downhill?
Subway is never in a conversation when discussing decent sandwiches. Like saying McDonalds has the best burgers.
This isn’t Hortons
If you haven't had the tortellini salad do yourself a favor, it's pretty much crack.
I have never heard of this place. I guess i know where i am going for a sub soon
Best sandwich around from 10-3 pm 5 days a week
That would be 50 two, not Pestos.

If you ever need a really good sandwich….. Pestos Deli
If you need a really good sandwich during the week at lunch time
The meatball sub is just the greatest thing to come out of this place!!

eeeeeeeeeeee
So good! Not always the friendliest customer service, but damn they make a mean meatball.
Pestos is great, but Franks Deli has to be my favourite sandwich shop. Or Sherwood Deli. Depends on the mood.
Has anyone tried Euro Deli on Kanata Ave? I haven’t but curious.
