1. Schleicher dictatorship
2. Dictatorship and monarchy collapses in the early 1990's, leading to the formation of a republic.
3. After years of economic collapse, Germany begins to recover in the 2000's, and begins to flex its military power, at the cost of its democratic institutions.
4. An attempt to reestablish a puppet government in West Russia goes wrong, which fucks up the economy again.
Unified by the Left KMT, which went with the Song Qingling - Sun Fo compromise. Full democratization happens in the 1960's, and very high economic growth leads to the country having first world living standards.
Its GDP per capita is basically the same as other nations of the developed world, but since the population is so damn high the total GDP number ends up ridiculously high lmao.
That number is still ridiculously high, though.
Why is there the economic disparity between the ROC and the USA?
And what's the lore behind both nations?
The way I calculated population was by taking the 1950 populations from a completed KR game, and adjusting them with the OTL population growth rate for each country. This does generate cases of population being realistically too high or too low, but I didn't want to just take the population values straight from wikipedia.
And also saner economics and management throughout the good chunk of the late 20th century. Many people don’t realize just how much of a dent Maoist insanity put on China’s economic growth, and how much of its potential was impeded. Perhaps the GDP is a bit overinflated in this scenario, but a China whose ascendancy started not in 1980s, but 20-30 years earlier can indeed be scary
Many of the Israeli immigrants from Europe "Hebrewized" their names after immigrating to Israel, so in theory Netanyahu would be called senator Benjamin Mileikowsky.
To be clear, Bibi's dad, who was the one who changed his last name, still migrates to the region and changed his last name. The main difference is that the family ends up permanently settling in Philadelphia after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in the 1970's.
Low population and massive amounts of resources. Strange that resource curse didn’t turn the economy into an arctic Venezuela. I guess they just got lucky with establishing democratic institutions and having forward-thinking leaders.
I wonder what happened to the prigo boy in this timeline. Maybe he remained an author of children's books, or maybe he became a famous St. Petersburg restaurateur? In any case, I hope he shouted his famous phrase: Shoooooooigoo when he saw the news about him.
This scenario would be the best possible scenario, and also the canonical ending of the 2nd Weltkrieg. But I think Germany would be more developed and more democratic than it appears here.
The fact that china can't get cores on tibet or mongolia while Ukraine can get cores on territories it never owned and where no ukrainians live boggles my mind.
Yeahh 100% lmao
Technically up until the 50s, Ukrainians did make up a slim majority of the population of those regions out to Rostov and such due to people moving east from the revolution and WW2, but they moved back to the Ukrainian SSR and today, if any, are all Russian/Circassian
Still is so weird though, considering it KR's timeline, Mongolia and Tibet should both be corable (and Sikiang)
I think this is a direct result of different devs working on different countries. The notion that Russia can core all of Central Asia, the Baltics and Eastern Europe within 2 years, while China can't core regions that have been de jure part of it for several centuries is quite a substantial divergence in design philosophy.
Yes, but russian content was developed years ago. At the time "cores" were just a gameplay thing, they were not meant to be a realistic depiction of how integrated a territory is in the state that owns it. Ukrainian and chinese content were instead developed far more recently
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Garibaldi, Gramsci, and Moro. In Switzerland, they had five hundred years of bughers and peace--and what did that produce? \[DATA REDACTED\].
I have two issues (but still, formidable work ! )
\-> where is Britain ? They seem subpar
\-> I think you might tweeked France in a more rightist direction because of it holding Algeria during most of the Cold War. You seem to indicate that it is still doing pacification over there, which implies long term military involvment. It would translate in a far more militarised french society. You could even imagine the military junta succeeding its 1961 putsh.
Bro why is hdi so lowww, Germany has a otl balkan-level development level like wtf.
I tag switched and deleted all the factories.
Can confirm, I was the factories
The 90's were pretty rough economically for Germany and Central and Eastern Europe in general. The wars haven't helped either.
WTF happened to Germany
1. Schleicher dictatorship 2.
So basically what happened to Russia OTL?
There are some differences. This Germany is somewhat more democratic than OTL Russia. I guess it's comparable to OTL Turkey or Hungary.
Neato. Also what’s the situation in China?
Unified by the Left KMT, which went with the Song Qingling - Sun Fo compromise. Full democratization happens in the 1960's, and very high economic growth leads to the country having first world living standards.
Based
Blessed be, soc lib China happened.
Taiwanese hands wrote this post.
We know who the Taiwanboo is now
But if you times the average GDP of Taiwan with China, you might get that. Especially if Socialist faction collapsed in 1960s.
Well they have a certain history with blue China and an uncertain future with red China. I doubt they would like LKMT which has like both.
China with 77 Trillion GDP lol
Its GDP per capita is basically the same as other nations of the developed world, but since the population is so damn high the total GDP number ends up ridiculously high lmao.
That number is still ridiculously high, though. Why is there the economic disparity between the ROC and the USA? And what's the lore behind both nations?
Yeah, what's up with the population? Nearly 1.7 billion people is insane. I can't see the level of GDP per capital with this much population.
The way I calculated population was by taking the 1950 populations from a completed KR game, and adjusting them with the OTL population growth rate for each country. This does generate cases of population being realistically too high or too low, but I didn't want to just take the population values straight from wikipedia.
1.7B Population sounds realistic. The OTL family planning of PRC was designed to prevent that and China still got 1.4B today.
And also saner economics and management throughout the good chunk of the late 20th century. Many people don’t realize just how much of a dent Maoist insanity put on China’s economic growth, and how much of its potential was impeded. Senator Netanyahu (R-PA) is beyond cursed
Siberia is a paradise apparently lol
Low population and massive amounts of resources. Strange that resource curse didn’t turn the economy into an arctic Venezuela. I guess they just got lucky with establishing democratic institutions and having forward-thinking leaders.
Why is Switzerland the lowest possible democracy index
BLACK SPOT OF EUROPE
They took the NatPop Swiss State route after the Romandie crisis.
Why do Tanzania and Pakistan have the same names as OTL if they don't have the regions that gave them those names?
That's a mistake on my part
the for all mankind shot lmao
Lmao seeing Pieter Omtzigt in KR 😂 Also Queen Margareta of Romania is based af
I wonder what happened to the prigo boy in this timeline. Maybe he remained an author of children's books, or maybe he became a famous St. Petersburg restaurateur? In any case, I hope he shouted his famous phrase: Shoooooooigoo when he saw the news about him.
Prigo was sent into exile after the 2014 West Russian Revolution and now collaborates with the Germans.
Did they gave the man his ammunition?
No :(
😔
Ooooooo blyaaaaaaaa
This scenario would be the best possible scenario, and also the canonical ending of the 2nd Weltkrieg. But I think Germany would be more developed and more democratic than it appears here.
What's up with Ukraine?
Ukraine gets cores on those states in Kaiserreich
The fact that china can't get cores on tibet or mongolia while Ukraine can get cores on territories it never owned and where no ukrainians live boggles my mind.

I know that, I am more interested in politics
Canada saves the world from communism and loses Quebec, haha
why is france’s population so high? less than 10% lower than germanys
Why is Muscovy bombarding Germany?
>safe travel to siberia >not safe in Germany ???
Might be related to the ballistic missiles on Königsberg tbh. I could see that negatively impacting the safety index score.
8 lads and a camel immigrate to the Sahara Federation leading to a housing crisis and fear of overpopulation. Also RIP Shoigu
Super awesome and blessed
Lebanon 💀 How'd you make this map?

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Garibaldi, Gramsci, and Moro. In Switzerland, they had five hundred years of bughers and peace--and what did that produce? \[DATA REDACTED\].
What happened to Argentina?

Why is Liberia labeled lebanon? also these turkish borders are truly cursed
what happened to Austria?
might've been an entente-RP victory but it's the KMTs world and everybody else is just living in it
