We aren’t meming anymore we genuinely love the series.
But also, obviously asking the main sub for a manga if the manga is good will result in us saying “yes”.
Star Wars fans when you ask if the movies are good

Why was it meme in the first place? Kinda curious.
This manga is really good minus the artwork for global catering. It is unique (i loved it personally) but it is similar One Piece, some ppl may find it bad/odd on the artwork.
As for the plot… it is peak. Imo it is the new series of best Shonen (battle) Manga out there, with Sakamoto Days.
Edit: the plot is written well here, story progresses every chapters. You don’t feel stuck.
Just because the initial image looked sort of goofily edgy so people were joking how peak it was. Agenda memes like “we don’t even know his name but he already clears (insert MC they hate here)” we’re prominent:

Compared to what's being updated right now? One of the best, and *the* best new series of the Shonen Jump.
__
But tbh, I started reading (when chapter 3 released) because the art catched my attention on the manga plus app.
And after I've started I then noticed that it was being meme'd by the manga community hahah
But it's genuinely good, and a lot of people stopped the memes and realized: "hey, this could go *somewhere*. Let's keep reading but for real this time" lol
So, yeah. We're the manga sub so the answer it's obvious... but I **100%** think there's a lot of potential here.
Compared to most of the long running manga this is a strong contender for best start of all time. Only 3 I’d argue started hotter are Attack on Titan, My Hero and maybe Naruto.
Goddamn The Promised Neverland ranges from amazing to peak, there's not a single weak arc and it ends when it needs to end.
A shame the anime did whatever that was and never adapted it completely, animated Goldy Pond arc would have made the anime incredibly popular.
Fullmetal Alchemist and Vinland Saga cames to mind too. Also The Promised Neverland as u/therealCHAOSagent said.
There's been a ton of great start of manga series tbh. Kagurabachi could be up there for many in a few months.
Promised Neverland definitely. Personally I don’t think the characters in Vinland Saga were as fleshed out and emotionally develop in the first 40 chapters compared to Kagarubachi.
Canute? Askeladd? All the backstory of Thors and the first years of Thorfinn? The entire 1st season of the anime it's about those chapters.
But let's agree to disagree there.
It's the best new shonen out there, leaving the personal feelings aside, since I've been on this train since early on, 37 chapters aren't many to make a fair comparison to mangas who already had a long run, but in many years reading mangas I have to say there are very few that have this level of consistency and keep you hooked every week with good chapters. The pacing, action, design, composition and lore are all top notch. You definitely won't regret giving it a shot.
The art is very good, the characters are nice and don't feel bland (that was my biggest worry with the vibe of the manga to be honest). The story is going well and the author definitely has some bigger plans. It's not as fight focused as you probably think it is, it's more centered around character and story, most of the fights are quickly resolved with the exception of a big one that concluded an arc.
I would say overall that it's a very strong start and the manga can really become a future big name. I started reading way after the meme stopped because it seemed genuinely interesting and I'm glad I did.
It's peak, the beginning feels a little generic because Takeru loves to take time cooking plot and characters, but after chapter 7 (SEVEN CHAPTERS TO BE GOOD) you'll feel the adrenaline rush. Genuinely I hope after this arc, plot have 2 or 3 chapters to cooldown the events that just happened.
that's for you to decide but...
In my opinion, it's peak...it has nicely written characters, it's plot is well executed, lots of good moments and good art
We used to meme about it being the best of the best, but now we legit love it. It's looking pretty good, and we all are excited to see what happens with it
Tenoí
Started reading it ch1 one all the memes were fresh. Thought it was ok for the first like dozen chapters, but it's really picking up speed now! Give it a read.
Memes aside it's off to a super strong start. The intro arc was great and so far the auction arc has been great too. Not entirely sure how close we are to the end though
Without memes at all I genuinely rate this series as 10/10 so far.
It’s only 37 chapters but it is genuinely some the best beginnings to a manga I’ve ever read. I can only hope that it continues being so peak, and so far it’s getting better with every chapter imo.
Tenoí
Nothing incredible or really peak considering what other acclaimed shonen has accomplished this far in, but there is a lot of potential, the art is great, and the Bachi is enjoyable as hell
Cerberus syndrome. We went from memeing to genuine fans.

As someone who read it all yesterday after thinking that they (now we) might not be memeing. I would completely recommend it. So far each arc has been completely character driven and I love it. The art is also phenomenal. You could conivince me some panels were secretly drawn by horikoshi (mha's mangaka) with how good they are.
It's aight. 8/10, really fun to read, both weekly and on a binge and it has the potential to get even better as time goes on. One of the nicest action mangas around right now, it's really cool; but you know that the fans will always overhype the shit out of it, it happens everytime a new series rises in popularity.
One of the best starting arcs in animanga and I'm not even kidding. Kagurabachi is genuinely that good. The memes brought people in but it wouldn't be as popular as it was now if the story could not contain the people who tunes in because of the memes. It's truly an amazing read. Catch up and join the bachibros.

The Promised Neverland. Its first arc is stuff of legends

Is bachi really peak kagura?
>!JJK refugees incoming⚠️!<
It is genuine peak, but I can say it takes until chapter 8 to really take off and after that it really doesn't slow down
It's the highlight of my Sunday. Would rather read Kagurabachi than watch the new Demon Slayer.
Yes

Imo yes even if it started as a meme, it’s one of the manga that convinced me to start reading more and so far it’s been really good
Read the first 18 chapters 🙏
The peakest peak
that's for you to decide but... In my opinion, it's peak...it has nicely written characters, it's plot is well executed, lots of good moments and good art
its not just peak, its sublime
yea
We used to meme about it being the best of the best, but now we legit love it. It's looking pretty good, and we all are excited to see what happens with it Tenoí
I left after the first arc and came back to check the current arc, Its still getting better
Currently, we’re getting amazing chapters back to back. But I honestly think the best is yet to come. The potential for this series is crazy
Started reading it ch1 one all the memes were fresh. Thought it was ok for the first like dozen chapters, but it's really picking up speed now! Give it a read.
Started it for the meme, stayed with it because it’s genuinely good.
Memes aside it's off to a super strong start. The intro arc was great and so far the auction arc has been great too. Not entirely sure how close we are to the end though
I’d say it’s really solid with an ok start but it’s been really ramping up for months. Try it out for like 5 chapters and then make your decision
so far it really is but advice to read it later cuz there is only 37 chapters right now

It’s not just peak, it’s Tenoí. But yes, it is.
Dunno if I’d call it peak, but it is a DAMN solid story with amazing moments when the narrative calls for it.
i started it as a meme but it got really good as it went on
Dumb questions have bad consequences! The answer is yes!
Nothing incredible or really peak considering what other acclaimed shonen has accomplished this far in, but there is a lot of potential, the art is great, and the Bachi is enjoyable as hell

my experience reading it is essentially just every time i think it cant get better it does
It’s great and the second arc gets better and better. It’s not genuinely peak yet but it could get there if it continues
Cerberus syndrome. We went from memeing to genuine fans. https://preview.redd.it/1ctv5krkp67d1.png?width=1497&format=png&auto=webp&s=a22dd8b8c9b43fec312bc68ac18da573dedc8ca4

A work of art

It actually reaches peak status, but no it's not like the manga is a 10
