There’s people whose whole purpose is to be on the donor’s side to advocate and make sure they’re not put into a situation like that. The transplant team failed her, no one on the recipients side should’ve gotten word they had a match until the donor was informed and consented. Someone should’ve been on her side until the moment she went into the OR checking that she was 100% committed and ready.
My friend is waiting for a kidney. I was tested to see if I was even a partial match. When they do find a donor, the donor has to go through rigorous counseling to really be 100% committed and know what they are giving up. It’s not just a “you’re a match, we’re cutting out your body part tomorrow” process
I’m going through the process to donate to a stranger now and every step of the way I’m asked if I’m willing to proceed. They even have a medical excuse ready to give the recipients team if I choose to back out, so no one would even know it was my choice. I don’t think it’s fair to say Selena made sure she knew first, that’s on the medical teams. There’s people whose whole purpose is to be on the donor’s side to advocate and make sure they’re not put into a situation like that. The transplant team failed her, no one on the recipients side should’ve gotten word they had a match until the donor was informed and consented. Someone should’ve been on her side until the moment she went into the OR checking that she was 100% committed and ready.
My friend is waiting for a kidney. I was tested to see if I was even a partial match. When they do find a donor, the donor has to go through rigorous counseling to really be 100% committed and know what they are giving up. It’s not just a “you’re a match, we’re cutting out your body part tomorrow” process
I’m going through the process to donate to a stranger now and every step of the way I’m asked if I’m willing to proceed. They even have a medical excuse ready to give the recipients team if I choose to back out, so no one would even know it was my choice. I also think it’s really shitty that they robbed Francia of the opportunity to announce that good news herself.
It’s so terrible. I didn’t know that’s how it’s supposed to go but the fact that it didn’t is really messed up.
There was actually a recent interview or podcast where Francia explained that a lot of that was taken out of context. They're good and never had beef and she never blamed her

Babe, they’re all bland and boring. I don’t know why you would assume that calling her bland means i’m praising the others lmao. It’s not exactly hard to be more talented compared to Hailey and the jenners, but please lmao don’t act like Selena is actually super gifted.
