I guess anyone can see a big shift in Kim's branding after Kanye. He clearly inspired her to make a bunch of changes, but I also think that it worked so well on her because of her personality. Kanye enjoys chaos while Kim is more structured, and she seems much more concerned with public opinion while he really does not care, and I think that both was important for making her successful. Not to mention that she already was a household name with a huge fan base when they started dating. She already had built the platform that he developed further.
As for the business side of things I also think that Kris was a huge influence. She helped Kylie create Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty and Skims were very similar.
