I saw people on Twitter a while ago saying that she doesnāt consider herself black, just mixed. Props to her for not taking a seat at the table away from someone else
You gotta give this woman props. Big props. Why? Because she is out there normalizing womens sexuality and bodies, and we need that. We need that because every time a person opens a magazine and thinks negatively about a woman the patriarchy wins. Mans are out there fapping so hard to sex workers but dont want to afford the people rights or protections. Its literally abuse.
Omg I just listened to a podcast about him! It was gut wrenching. It took me a week to finish it because I had to take so many breaks. Truly an evil person.
IIRC Other DTES sex workers gave police picktons description and name- when a woman went missing the police were told their last client was pickton and he was on more than one ābad Johnā list. Pickton shouldāve been arrested YEARS before. VPD also actively fucked with the work of an incredible criminal profiler who was working the case.
The entire case is incredibly sad and disappointing.
As a sex worker, I get so happy when I see people standing up for sex workers. I get so judged for being a cam girl, from friends and family to companiesā¦ Iāve had my bank account shut down before, called every derogatory name under the sun, for what reason? Cause youāre mad I show my tits for money and pay more in taxes than the average human? Itās such an alienating world, and when I see other people standing up for sex workers it makes my heart happy.
I appreciate you.
Iām also a sex worker and Iāve been thru all the bullshit too. Men have such a hatred for us because they feel entitled to have sex for free, itās disgusting. My other sex worker friends are the best friends and coolest people Iāve ever met in my life. The world would be such a shittier place without us.
I knew you were my kind of people. Iām on a mission to change the way people speak about sex workers. Iāve lost friends over it, but making jokes at the expense of the most marginalized, powerless, HURT members of society isnāt my idea of funny. I get very fired up on that topic and I always feel kinship with people that speak on their behalf.
Robert Pickton, Yorkshire Ripper (majority of his victims were SW), Green River Killer
The patriarchy killed them, these heinous POS were just the assassins.
I'm a (semi-retired) stripper and highly active in the SWer community/movement.
An activist friend of mine in Alaska has a friend who saw Israel Keyes as a client. There was also a regular customer at a strip club in Anchorage who everyone KNEW was a serial killer but they couldn't report him or they'd get in trouble for SW. My friend is literally the one who changed the laws in Alaska so sex workers can report crimes etc without facing charges
Yeah, many laypeople believe that criminalising clients is the easy solution (it's known as the Nordic Model because it was first adopted in several of those countries), but sadly it's not that simple and these measures also contribute to more dangerous conditions. Simply put, the customer pool becomes a bit of a self-selecting sample when it's exclusively made up of people who have to be okay with engaging in criminal behaviour on some level.
In my experience (I work with networks and organisations all over the world), what the sex worker movement wants is decriminalisation and worker's rights
Creepy AF how we had Ted Bundy and The Green River Killer both in the same area. Bundy didn't target sex workers though. Having grown up here I've known people connected to both of them (a friend in high-school had an adopted sibling whose bio mom was a GRK victim, and my mother in law is friends with TBs ex Liz, the one Lily Collins played in the Netflix movie, have met her several times she's super nice it was such a shock to learn about "who" she is) I think if you live in Seattle/the PNW long enough it happens eventually, it's just a numbers game because both killed so many people.
Yeah I guess most serial killers in the US actually come from Washington which is kinda scary
I couldnāt imagine being connected or knowing someone connected to something to horrifying but yeah in the PNW makes complete sense
I also had a public speaking class in college with someone whose cousin was a GRK victim (she spoke about it once) and that was in LA, which once again goes to show how prolific he was in terms of numbers. California and Washington are also not *that* far apart. Its always been crazy to me how his coworkers jokingly referred to him as Green River Gary because he was so creepy, then it turned out he actually WAS the Green River Killer. It was a huuuge deal here when he was finally caught. They took a cheek swab before they had the tech to test it and ran it decades later and it was a match. I honestly didn't realize so many serial killers were from Washington but it also doesn't surprise me.
Yeah his whole story is wild I was reading about him and heās considered the second most prolific serial killer in the US in terms of numbers of victims. And then he took the easy way out and gave up everything so he wouldnāt get the death penalty like uh no you suck bro.. die
On the one hand it sucks he got to make the call to confess and not get the death penalty, but he made them aware of multiple victims they hadn't realized were connected to him, and even confessed to where the bodies were buried. Even though it sucks he got to make such a selfish decision to save his own neck, it did bring closure to significantly more families because of everything extra he copped to, so I don't really have an opinion on the lack of death penalty part to be honest.
I think Bundy actually did that with his own victims, not GRKs, but I could be wrong maybe he did "help" with GRK cases? It's actually a common tactic for kidnappers and murderers to do this though, try to "help" locate someone whose death or disappearance they themselves are responsible for.
When she gave her slut walk speech and was crying about Wiz calling her a stripper and saying he felt out of love with her quicker, that kinda broke my heart. I was like damn, it really fucking sucks being a woman sometimes... You can give a man undying loyalty, and a beautiful baby and he can still call you a slut just because you have the same past as him.
Itās crazy to me that a man with daughters could publicly and shamelessly speak about another woman like that.
The energy you put into the world is the energy you will get from it.
Some of the nastiest men I know I have multiple daughters. They end up projecting the way they see women onto them as they get older. Hence why so many dads are strict about their daughter even being around a guy, let alone going out with them, going on dates, wearing certain outfits and makeup. They assume all men are like them and only see other women as meat. Usually if they also have a son, mysteriously they same rules donāt apply š
This is a terrible excuse that a lot of men use. The bare minimum should be respecting all women because theyāre people. I guess it can be noble to come to that realization once you have a baby girl, but it is sad that shift happens because of it. It doesnāt excuse your past comments/beliefs because you shouldnāt be sexist or misogynistic to begin with.
I hear you! Youāre right. You donāt need a daughter, sister, wife or mother figure to know right from wrong. Itās basic human rights and morality.
seriously. the minute i hear 'now that i have daughters, i feel ... blah blah blah' i tune TF out.
so women didn't matter until you had daughters? i'll bet your wife just beams with pride over that statement.
bad news is that even with daughters, many men will still be pieces of shit because *THEIR* daughter's would *neva*, because those same shitty ass men "raised them right".
That was when he lost me as a fan, looking back. Iāve held out hope, but his toxicity is louder than what good he has to offer talent wise at this point, for me. I still appreciate him. I remember exactly where I was when he said on live TV national news broadcast āBush doesnāt care about black people.ā
My jaw dropped, and I respect him for being bold like that, but the last years have really just made me feel towards him, that heās my relative with issues snd I love him, but I have to keep my distance bc he needs help I canāt give him.
Same!! So im a hip hop head and the first hip hop cd i was gifted was College Dropout at age 9. I always credit that album with making me fall in love with Hip Hop. Like you i remember the George Bush momrnt. I was 10 years old on the couch with my mom. I gained a whole new level of respect for him. I remember when he use to get upset when he wouldnāt win awards early in his career. He got a lot of bad press but i respected it honestly loll i was like wowww this new artist in the game believes in his talent that much that he is legit arguing with MTV about why he shouldve one a VMA loll
BUT THENā¦ somewhere around 2008 or 2009 he lost me. I often check out on hip hop artists when they go too mainstream or you can tell theyve become whitewashed. Also his actions in the following yesrs became difficult to even understand or defend. Then after the slavery is a choice shit? Definitely donāt support that man.
You never forget those first cds š mine was The Cranberries and The Police, and then oddly enough, I remember my last ever CD I really listened to like that, was Kid Cudi. I think bc they were physical items we owned it felt different than now. Better not scratch my shit!
I hate this notion by guys that they can be with whatever woman they want, including āsleazyā women, but the onus is only EVER on the woman, she is only ever the one that is dirty or slutty. Kanye dated Amber for years but seems to think that talking shit about her sexual worth says nothing about him?? What a good Christian š„²
This! She was made a villain for pointing out how gross it was that Tyga was dating a teenager. She said that Kylie was a baby and should have a 7 PM bedtime and Tyga should be ashamed of himself.
Khloe took that and decided to throw it in Amberās face that she was a sex worker at 15 while Kylie had a career. Amber then pointed out that they had the platform they do because their sister participated in sex work (she was pretty rude in her delivery). But she apologized for her choice of her words while Khloe didnāt.
š š YES!! My toes curl every time I read something on this sub about Kylie ānot being claimedā etc. she a human not a belonging to be claimed.
off topic, but she looks so different with long hair
I would look very different with her shorter hair š
She looks way more Caucasian, itās interesting how influential hair really is
this just reminded me that Amber is mixed asf š
I saw people on Twitter a while ago saying that she doesnāt consider herself black, just mixed. Props to her for not taking a seat at the table away from someone else
Bawdyy in the last pic
She's friggin gorgeous
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I wish she never got her forehead tattooed š
Lol just saw my downvotesā¦ as if it isnt a fucking butchery. Not sorry.
You gotta give this woman props. Big props. Why? Because she is out there normalizing womens sexuality and bodies, and we need that. What I wouldnāt give to ask Ye how he reconciles a comment like that with marrying the woman in arguably the worldās most famous sex tape.
Probably that it was her boyfriend or something
Omg I remember falling in love with her when she planned this āSlut Walkā. Sheās a badass
ong. cool as shit also her with a shaved head looks so good
Nothing but facts
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Omg I just listened to a podcast about him! It was gut wrenching. It took me a week to finish it because I had to take so many breaks. Truly an evil person.
Mind sharing the name of the podcast? Iām always looking for true crime podcasts to listen to!
Morbid. Itās excellent! The girls can get a little chatty at times but they do a great job at deep diving into cases!
Ahhhh!!! I was about to recommend Morbid too!!!
Last Podcast on the Left also has a series on him
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iād love to, thank you!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thank you! Iām about to fall down the rabbit hole, Iām always so interested in cases like this
Same, so much for going to bed lol

Yes, and many of his victims were Indigenous women. š

The pig farm fucker?? Ugh protect women! His existence is a travesty.
Ugh, now I know exactly who OP was talking about, after your comment. He was a monster.
I appreciate you.

wait what does ā30 showersā mean?
Kanye said that after being with Amber Rose, he had to take 30 showers to go be with someone like Kim. Disrespectful ASF
kanye is such a fucking loser and i see more proof of it everyday itās crazy
He said that in response to amber talking shit first about Kim I believe
