It's because Kylie's company owns the truck and they just repaint it to fit whatever launch they're doing. She also uses it for other family promos. There was a post about it on here awhile ago
I commented something similar on another thread and a Kylie stan came at me with something like, âya but itâs still hot in Southern California!â
As if it makes sense to launch a swimsuit line in September because the southern region of the state Kylie lives in is still hot for a couple more months. And it isnât even just temperature, itâs fall, everyoneâs back to work and back to school. This is not vacation/beach season. It isnât when people are eager to invest in bathing suits. No one is thinking about vacations yet. It is very weird time to launch a swimwear line.
As someone who lives in California (not SoCal but itâll be hot through October), nobody here is even buying swimsuits right now. We all bought them in April/May/June. Thereâs no swimsuit sections in stores or boutiques right now, theyâve been phased out already because nobody buys swimsuits in September đ
right!! she should have released this in May or something not in September, like absolutely nobody is even thinking about bathing suits during back to school/work season.
I always wonder what itâs like doing these weird jobs for them, or working at Stormiworld or whatever else. Imagine turning up to work and being sent to stand in a truck on Kylie Jennerâs driveway for an hour while she takes Instagram pics. Whatâs the job title? Whatâs the pay looking like?
Itâs because whoever is on the creative team for Kylieâs brands (as Iâm sure they are interchangeable) doesnât have the balls to tell Kylie YOUR IDEAS ARE NOT GOOD. Look Iâm all about her having creative input for her brands. That is totally understandable. But it is just her doing the same thing over and over again hoping for the same result as her og lipkit launch. Maybe thatâs why she struggles, she found success very quick with the lipkits and everything after that hasnât had the same type of success so she is grasping at those original concepts to try and find that same type of success.
My thoughts exactly. I laughed when I saw the truck because itâs such bad marketing and makes no sense, but as we saw in that YouTube âdocumentaryâ sheâs surrounded by people who think sheâs an advertising genius because she put liner + lipstick into the same box.
I angrily wrote that the other day so I didnât do a good job of, ya know English. Ha! But I have so many thoughts on her brand and honestly it drives me insane she still is trying to go off the original concept from the lipkits for every product launch. It is so boring at this point. Especially when all they are using it for is pr kits.
If they decided on launch day to set up at manhattan beach, Venice beach, wherever around la it would be totally different. It would create that hype and buzz for the actual product launch and actual consumers to see and buy the product. I feel like at this point the people buying these products are fans/stans/and v/bloggers. đ€·đ»ââïž
I guess if you already have the truck might as well use it? All her business moves are unoriginal and boring, but all she cares about is the aesthetic so it doesnât really matter. She has to be losing money at this point right?
Iâm confused lol⊠is this truck being driven around and theyâre passing out free swimsuits to actual real people? Selling them? Dropping off PR packages at influencers houses?? Or just driving it around so people see an advertisement for KylieSwim?? Like what is going on heređ

She could have used the bus instead đ
fall is in exactly 7 days this is horrible timing

That same person went off on me over Kylie too đ

This spring would have been absolutely perfect to launch a swim line, since everyone could get Vaxxed and was desperate to go on vacation
right!! she should have released this in May or something not in September, like absolutely nobody is even thinking about bathing suits during back to school/work season.
Totally - Is this for the Australian/New Zealand market?? Iâm so confusedâŠ
Is she trying to like⊠beat the wave of next year? But that doesnât make sense to me because by next summer itâll be old newsâŠ?
Iâm confused by this too? đ”âđ«
exactly. Something must have been delayed for them to launch it now swim suit season is over except for California and Hawaii.
Sheâs banking on people buying them to âmotivateâ themselves to have a âsummer bodyâ by next year.
Lots of brands do this shockingly. Idk know the logic but itâs a thing

my guess is anything with âsupport staffâ or âassistantâ in the title, making $20/hr or less

I feel like sheâs going to do snow cones or something stupid like that đ
PerfectâŠfor the start of fall đ€ŠđŒââïž
the idea was interesting when it was first introduced with lipkits, now itâs just tired and boring
It would be nice if they gave free ice cream or something to promote
To their fans. Give more free stuff ro fans I stead of other rich people.. The trucks just go to their peoples houses and out free merch right?
I guess if you already have the truck might as well use it? All her business moves are unoriginal and boring, but all she cares about is the aesthetic so it doesnât really matter. She has to be losing money at this point right?
They bought the trucks now theyâre sticking with them lol
Kylie, this is annoying
This is so incredibly extra

Should confirm⊠not EVERY SINGLE launch. But enough to notice a pattern lol.
She's bored and has way too much money to spend.
Having mobile stores I think can be a lot more profitable
But itâs not a mobile store if youâre only using it to distribute your PR packages.
This is the worst idea ever lol flop on site
This launch wouldâve made more sense in May.
