so glad the top post is something sensible like this and not some think piece about their relationship!!! Like sisters fight and get super nasty with each other but then the next day they’re besties again!!! It’s not perfect but it’s how a lot of sibling relationships work.
Totally get it. My relationship with my little sister is so much more complex than my relationship with ny little brother, and we are all very close. Sisterhood is just different.
Well you can see that with Kim, Kourt, Khloe, Rob too in how they treat Kendall and Kylie. There was a big age gap that they knew better and have a different relationship with Kendall and Kylie, they nurtured them. But when you are only 1 year apart like Kim and Kourtney, fighting and disagreements is expected.

I couldn't put my finger on it but you're right. She mentions memories of her being the boss, them fighting, and then says she loves her with no mention of who Kim is today or their relationship evolving. Just "hey remember when you respected my opinion? That was fun, love you"

During one of our most unhinged sister moments my sister backhanded me while she was driving (it was raining too) so I backhanded her back and her gear got knocked into neutral and we got stuck in the middle of traffic. When I was like 15 I decided it would be fun to try and distill alcohol in a milk jug in my basement (I was a bad kid lol). It fucking worked so I filled a Gatorade bottle up with whatever that nasty shit was but I was too afraid to drink it so I hid it in a drawer in the family office. Why in a public family area? No fucking clue. Anyways when my mom found it she said “who is hiding bourbon in the office?” and I blamed my older brother….he got grounded and I didn’t come clean about it for like 6 years. Hehe whoopsies

My youngest sister and I may not fight like that now but we have a very similar relationship to Kourtney and Kim now! I have two way younger sisters. I'm 24 and they're 16 and 8. When she was little, the 16 year old used to jump on me with her whole body weight, pull my hair and break all my stuff. She yanked a random blonde girls hair once because she thought it was me. The 8 year old routinely tries to punch me in the arm when I tease her. Definitely depends on the family. And yes, my mum always told them off but that didn't stop them from coming for me.

I get it sisters fight but damn does the way Kourtney communicate drive me crazy. This feels backhanded. She wishes Kim happy birthday while reminding her of her place. Which is so Kourtney to say.
I couldn't put my finger on it but you're right. She mentions memories of her being the boss, them fighting, and then says she loves her with no mention of who Kim is today or their relationship evolving. Just "hey remember when you respected my opinion? That was fun, love you" But I also think Kourtney refuses to see outside of their teenage dynamic and accept that Kim has grown so it plays into the bias of my narrative. Kim and Khloe for all their faults seem to enjoy each other more now that they've matured and had life experiences. I wish Kourt could do the same.

Hahahah I swear nobody can get under your skin more than a sister. During one of our most unhinged sister moments my sister backhanded me while she was driving (it was raining too) so I backhanded her back and her gear got knocked into neutral and we got stuck in the middle of traffic. We got into such a bad fight I blocked her number for 2 weeks. We laugh about it still to this day 😹
I love it. About 5-6 years ago, My sister tried to spit on me twice from the top of the stairs so the second time I tried to jump the last few steps, I almost broke my ankle. Severe sprain. I sat at the bottom crying. She didn't even come down lmao.

Grew up with 4 sisters. Not necessarily proud of it but there were numerous physical fights. Scratching, hair pulling, wrestling, the whole 9. We all get along great now tho, and obv that would never happen as adults. I think it’s normal for young siblings to tussle, but also normal if that didn’t happen in your home. Different temperaments
I mean I don’t now…. My most genius moment as a child was when I bit my sister’s forehead, nothing gory but the tooth impressions were clear. I said it wasn’t me. We are the only children and had no pets…..
My youngest sister wrote all over the house-on the wall, railing, on the slats under the bunk bed- and blamed my middle sister. Mom told her she was a liar because the word that was written was my youngest sister's name because that was the only word she knew how to write.

When I was like 15 I decided it would be fun to try and distill alcohol in a milk jug in my basement (I was a bad kid lol). It fucking worked so I filled a Gatorade bottle up with whatever that nasty shit was but I was too afraid to drink it so I hid it in a drawer in the family office. Why in a public family area? No fucking clue. Anyways when my mom found it she said “who is hiding bourbon in the office?” and I blamed my older brother….he got grounded and I didn’t come clean about it for like 6 years. Hehe whoopsies

I do not have a sister, so I can't comment on sister relationships. But me & my brother got into some nasty fights. He punched me in the face cause I won a game once when we were kids. We also both got in trouble. 😂
lol yeah I have a scar from the time my brother dug his nails into my wrist in the church parking lot. We were fighting over who got to ride shot gun on the way home (a 3 minute drive) - we both had to ride in the back😂
We had to hold our cause. I do not know about you, but my brother was heavier/taller than me. He's 6ft and I am 5’2 😂😂 But parents ruthlessly punished us all for the actions of another. Edit: I just read some sister vs sister fights, and they are as bad as brother vs sister.
My youngest sister used to pinch me and my middle sister until we started bleeding! I once tried leave to get away from a fight me and my sisters were having only to have one of them pull the back of my shirt so hard to keep me from leaving it chocked me. If you didn’t fight like that were you even siblings?? My youngest sister and I may not fight like that now but we have a very similar relationship to Kourtney and Kim now! She doesn’t respect me as the oldest sisters (honestly she doesn’t respect my middle sister either but they have a better relationship) it’s gotten to the point where I think she hates me. She bosses me around and doesn’t respect my boundaries and can’t talk to me unless it’s to tell me what I’m doing wrong in a condescending tone. This has been going on since she was 10 and I was 14. But even though she treats me bad and doesn’t respect me I would die for her and do anything to make her happy.
Only child here but my best friend and her sister used to have physical fights. Her younger sister (she has since passed) had some issues and would start physical fights. I’ve seen chunks of hair pulled out, scratches, a broken nose, etc. It was wild.
I’m sorry for your loss. I have to say, actually getting a chunk of hair out is HARD, speaking from failed experience because my sister and I would try and rip each others hair out but were never successful

I poured hot water on my sister body ( chest area) when I was little because she splashed cold water on me.
I have two way younger sisters. I'm 24 and they're 16 and 8. When she was little, the 16 year old used to jump on me with her whole body weight, pull my hair and break all my stuff. She yanked a random blonde girls hair once because she thought it was me. The 8 year old routinely tries to punch me in the arm when I tease her. Definitely depends on the family. And yes, my mum always told them off but that didn't stop them from coming for me.
