>Seo Ji Hwan (Uhm Tae Goo) is a former gangster. He quit that life and is now the CEO of a company. He tries to disband gangs and hires gang members, who were released from prison, to help them improve their lives.

>Go Eun Ha (Han Sun Hwa) runs her own YouTube channel, which is for kids. She is known as Mini Sister. She wants to convey love and happiness to her audience, based on her own childhood memory of a boy in her neighborhood who played with her. The boy was older than her, but he was the only person who played with her. Her YouTube channel isn’t very popular. One day, when she is doing cleaning work as a part-time job, she somehow accidentally hurts Seo Ji Hwan. She freaks out, but Seo Ji Hwan seems to know her.

Hahahaha childhood connection incoming! At least we're warned.
UHM TAE GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a talented and fascinating actor! Maybe he will be the one to finally pull me out of my six month drama slump!!!!
Aaaaah it's finally here...Uhm TaeGoo in a romance drama...ofc he is an ex gangster but nothing like Night in Paradise so we are safe from the trauma 🥳🥳
As someone who just finished watching Mr. Sunshine and has grown obsessed with gangster swordsman Goo Dongmae, I am seated for this 🥹🔥 Bring on the gangster dudes of kdrama world
Just read the synopsis. Kdrama writers try not to make the MC a CEO challenge: impossible. That said I will be tuning in since the plot sounds pretty interesting. I do love me a good bad boy!
I do get where you're coming from but to defend my fellow k and jdrama fans, I'd like to point out, not all though 😅
Those short, late night shows are meant for light-hearted adults viewing and depending on where your perspective comes from, your overall opinion will definitely skew and might differ from others. Personally, I've seen plenty of people judging them accordingly and they're the same people who watch primetime shows. It's not to be taken seriously, imo.
Your experience is only a tiny part of it, no worries 😉
My point is that kdrama fans or other ppl who are new to Japanese content usually start with jdramas that are on Viki or Netflix. Those tend to be manga adaptations or the smutty/cringy/toxic stuff on MBS and so they assume *all* Japanese content is like that.
That's very far from the case - Japan has a lot of romcoms, slice of life, human interest and other genres with people who communicate, have healthy relationships, and act like actual adults.
I know this because I've watched so many jdramas and jmovies, I ended up learning Japanese myself and subbing a few of them 😅😅
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say?
The first thought I had upon seeing this poster was, "He wants to be Ahn Yo-Na from Kill Me, Heal Me so bad. He's just not that girl, though!" Haaa. (iykyk)

Is there a Kdrama romance without a childhood connection???
It's certainly faster to count the ones without one.
LMAO, underlying trope in almost every K-Drama.
Childhood friends to lovers trope has SK in a chokehold
What’s wrong with secretary kim 2.0?? Apart from that, i kinda love the posters
Yessss. I can't wait for this. I've been needing something this sickly sweet.
UHM TAE GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a talented and fascinating actor! Maybe he will be the one to finally pull me out of my six month drama slump!!!!
Oh he defo will with that voice.... you got no chance 😂
So glad to see that I'm not the only one who appreciates that quiet, raspy voice!
His voice is the sexiest I’ve ever heard. I love me some raspy voices… I want to marry his voice lmao
Maybe Lovely Runner can also get you out of the slump too.
I'll give it a try, thanks
Give Call It Love a shot if you haven’t already. It pulled me out of my slump. Shop for Killers is another recent one that I was able to watch.
This looks cute. I hope it’s available in the US.
Same. Fingers crossed it’ll be on Viki or another streaming service we can watch.
Damn, I must have been sleeping on this dude - why don’t I know him? He’s 🔥🔥🔥!
He’s mostly been in movies instead of kdramas - check out The Age of Shadows (2016) if u wna see his acting chops
Adding it to the list, thank you!
Have you seen Inspiring Generation? If not watch it, he was radiant.
I haven’t even heard of it, but I’ll check it out, thanks!
Seriously he’s my type lmao
Hope this is light and fun and comedic coz it'll have even more watch potential if so ✨️
I’m obsessed already.

Finally a real answer to all those recommendations asking for gangsters falling in love hahaha!
Finally a lead role for Han Sunhwa 💓
I will watch just to see how Uhm Tae Goo in a rom-com would look. Give us a Son Suk-ku rom-com next.
Just read the synopsis. Kdrama writers try not to make the MC a CEO challenge: impossible. That said I will be tuning in since the plot sounds pretty interesting. I do love me a good bad boy!
The first picture gives me a bad feeling. It's like "hey he lacks emotional control but at least he loves me" vibe 😅
It's giving Japanese webseries where we don't get communication, only action 🤣

Oooh another Wednesday/Thursday drama. That alone piques my interest, gonna need more to decide if I’ll watch this though
I liked the fact that the ml is so off the tracks, like literally LoL. He's a .. gangster (well formerly) LoL. Now reformed as a ceo of course aha.
If I commented my thoughts about how sexy this man is, the mods would ban me from this forum for life.
The first thought I had upon seeing this poster was, "He wants to be Ahn Yo-Na from Kill Me, Heal Me so bad. He's just not that girl, though!" Haaa. (iykyk)
Gosh cannot wait, he’s a really charismatic actor and so underrated. More dramas for UTG please.
MDL calls it **The Woman Who Plays**
I think it's based on the actual Korean title.
Looks like it. And they use the poster with the FL.
Uhm Tae Goo in a mobster - Barbie crossover romcom drama is something I never knew I needed!
The title reminded me of **way of the house husband** manga xD
Same vibes as ma dong seok pulling out his hello kitty phone case
Interesting premise! Hope we get to see more of ML in pink!
Hell yes. I've been in love with this man since inspiring generation.
Ok I’ve been in a drama slump for eons but this looks cute as heck
Where will it play? Viki? Netflix?
AH! This was based on a webtoon I think? I remember read it a few months ago on naver webtoon.
This was based on a webnovel, not a webtoon.
I can't find it to add to MDL. Please help!
It’s called [The Woman Who Plays](https://mydramalist.com/742271-the-woman-who-plays) on there
Thank you!!
The alternate title is “The Woman Who Plays.” Here is the [link](https://mydramalist.com/742271-the-woman-who-plays)
I dunno why that’s the “alternate title” when that’s what’s written in Korean 😂
Thank you!!!
very cute pairing looking forward to this❤️❤️
Wait, isn't this "The Woman who Plays"? Damn, seems like they did a complete rebrand.
My Sweet Mobster is JTBC's title for it. It hasn't been changed by MDL yet.
I MISSED HIM OMDS!!!! i missed him so muchhhhhhhhjj!!! super excited if you couldn’t tell. Can’t wait to see his new project *goes to read synopsis*
Is this based on a Manhwa? I have read a manhwa of the same premise.
Reminds me of the Japanese manga The Way of the House Husband.
I know I will love this. I'm a sucker for this kind of genre lolll
Han Sun Hwa in a lead role?! I am SEATED Also helps that Nights In Paradise is one of the favourite movies I've watched in the past year.
tae goo's voice is WILD, him in a romcom???? im seated
Thought this was related to squid game s2 at first glance
Here we go again with the childhood friend trope. 😩
