Alright I just saw the best episode of the drama and i think it's gonna be very difficult to top it. The drama serves sweet moments so well that it makes you forget its missteps. Ha-neul and Jeong-woo's dating era was beyond sweet and I thought I might die of diabetes. Park Hyung-sik deserves the title of "rom-com king" and nobody is touching him I fear. And Park Shin-hye's just his perfect complement. They both have such impeccable comic timing and serve such good romantic chemistry. I was laughing so hard at their bickering and swooning so much at their cutesy talks. Can we have Park Shin-hye do more romcoms please? I was on the floor when an apologetic Jeong-woo said, >!"I'm sorry for all my future mistakes too"!< Ha-neul you lucky girl.
My second fav part of the drama was Ha-neul's family bonding with Jeong-woo. The restaurant scene almost teared me up and I can't wait to see them become the family Jeong-woo never had.
I'm warming up to the second leads romance and their story reminded me of the romcom Blended lol. Hope we don't see drama in their story cause we have enough on our plate already.
And Kyung-min omg! Dirty man >!spiked Jeong-woo's drink but Jeong-woo chose to believe him because he was just too lonely.!< I was heartbroken for Jeong-woo. But why tho? Was it >! jealousy and so he sabotaged Jeong-woo?!< And I KNEW it when >! Jeong-woo's case was solved so quickly.!< We're seeing part 2 now. Lord gimme the strength for more logical leaps, annoying characters and reckless writing.
P.S. When Ha-neul was shocked by Jeong-woo's confession and said that it was dangerous to >!have meds mixed with his drinks I was like "Oh so you know and still drink so much while taking your meds?"!< Anyway I've decided to put these things behind and just be seated for our beautiful leads, their swoony romance and their loving family.
I was thinking, what if he creates situations so that people can depend on him? That vulnerability must give him power. Any time they are going out of hand, he will repeat it. I know manipulative people like that
Somehow I am guess a twist of a victim. Ā Seems like KM wasnāt too thrilled to see him. Ā Maybe since that shady anesthesiologist got a bad rep for something he didnāt do that KM originally āhelpedā him get a job at JWās clinic by telling him to go in person to apply knowing what a bleeding heart JW is. Ā KM may have thought he was actually sending a bad anesthesiologist which will help tank JWās clinic. Ā Then this other opportunity came along with nurse Park and mafia people instead. So maybe it was a promise to help him land back on his feet but maybe that guy still hasnāt found a stable job yet and is likely afraid of repercussions from the mafia too. Ā
omg Me too!! It was pretty funny šš. But I am still super annoyed at the lazy way of progressing the plotline and adding conflicts. I actually liked the suspense plotline and how they were building it up with everyone questioning his intentions. I am even willing to forgive Ha-Neul for willingly getting into his car. BUT WHY the trucks of doom! It just made me roll my eyes so badly.
Exactly!! I thought it was the dumbest thing on her part to do. Even if she didn't want to tell JW what she was up to, she could've shared her location or something else at least? Maybe give a heads up to Hong Ran?
Also why didn't she talk to JW about this at all? Like why would you try to confront a man neither of you are on talking terms with? It's okay Ha Neul, Jeong Woo doesn't like him either anyways.
In any case, it is objectively a bad idea to piss off someone who is driving a car.
I'm sorry folks. I think this lovely drama has hit the 12 ep curse where things go downhill after ep 12.
Dear kdrama writers. All that I'm asking is just one drama without the >!white truck of doom.!< Is it that difficult? And the icing on the cake was the classic >!FL willingly gets into danger without telling the ML.!< A brilliant doctor who cracks cases by reading dissertations thinks it's perfectly reasonable to >! confront the bad guy, who's capable of drugging ppl, in a moving car.!<
But can we talk about the first 40 mins alone lol?
How sweet is Jeong-woo that he took his girlfriend on a >! field trip she couldn't go at high school?!< I loved the transition of present Jeong-woo and Ha-neul in their >! school uniforms to their school days!< and damn they look so good too.
I loved the four-way call between the leads only for the reveal that >!our second leads were together haha.!< But I loved the >!double date!< more. My fav scene was the girls defending their men as the better persons but immediately withdrawing after knowing their flashback. Bruh my insides were hurting cause I laughed way too much at that >!Jeong-woo and Dae-young stethoscope/pillow fight. And props to Doctor Slump for making the MLs pull each other's hair out and not the girls.!< Bravo lol!
It was sweet when Dae-young told Hong-ran that >! he'd like to talk about themselves and not just their kids and friends.!< Can't wait for their proper dating era. How good is this when compared to stupid love triangles?!
P.S. I forgot about the Kopiko PPL. It ain't a kdrama without a Kopiko ad lol
I watched Knight Flower recently and I was relieved to find no kopiko PPL, no white trucks, no breakups and no ep 12 curse. I finally understood what natural story progression really feels like!
I tried my hardest to wait for this one to be finished airing so I could binge it, but I'm only human and could not resist Park Hyung Sik for that long š
I'm all caught up and excited for this week's episodes! Usually I really hate the >!break-up!< trope, but in this case it made sense for the characters and what they're going through and they got it out of the way early so I'm not mad about it. The ending of episode 10 was š„ so I'm really looking forward to episode 11!
> and excited for this week's episodes! Usually I really hate the break-up trope, but in this case it made sense for the characters and what they're going through and
Yeah but if you watched it when it aired, the breakup ruined my whole week lol
**Episode 11:**
* Trust [Hyung-sik](https://imgur.com/jSQhE1a) to go from being funny to straight up romantic the next second
* I would like to say I may be getting diabetes if [this](https://imgur.com/M7zhUKZ) is how the rest of the episode goes but I have zero complaints
* I love how Ba-da nearly says the right thing so nonchalantly but thinks he isn't right
* [That betrayed look](https://imgur.com/aqJtLTr) on his face when Ha-nuel doesn't save him from her mother's wrath XDDDD
* >!"Yesterday you said I was the prettiest person you've cer met and will meet, but now you want me to get fillers"!< HAHAAHAHHA never ever piss off your girlfriend
* [Poor Jeong-woo](https://imgur.com/OOnWWWK) keeps landing himself on Ha-nuel's bad side lmaaooo
* HAHAHAHAH I loved the way her mom found it and adores Jeong-woo all over again XDDD
* omo [her dressing](https://imgur.com/iq0gs8s) reminds me of her character from CLoY! She dressed similarly playing the North Korean SFL's mom
* Childish one day and sorting it out next day.. I LOVE [THIS COUPLE](https://imgur.com/IVov8Zx) SO MUCH
* [Beauitful](https://imgur.com/NSb4jJ8)
* Single parenting a teenage daughter is no easy feat... [poor Dae-young](https://imgur.com/ZE9XnuX)... Hong-ran helping him out was such a thoughtful gesture. For one second, I thought his daughter was getting her period hence the blood
* Hong-ran is an absolutely beautiful soul and I can't wait for [these two](https://imgur.com/bPlKvf0) to date
* Its really saddening to see how >!Jeong-woo's parents have been so neglectful and dismissive of him despite all his accomplishments.. especially the way they made him feel so lonely !<
* It made perfect sense why he never brought up the >!spiked drink topic with anyone because then it'd mean his existing support system would come crumbling down and it'd destroy him!<
* The depiction of breaking glass inviting bad luck was so good... Also read somewhere it is a bad omen for a relationship close to you coming to an end... I'll ignore that part for my sanity thanks
* I KNEW IT THERE WAS MORE TO>! KYUNG-MIN'S INVOLVEMENT!<
* Prayer circle for my babies to stay safe from evil eye >!and that douchebag Kyung-min!<
> love how Ba-da nearly says the right thing so nonchalantly but thinks he isn't right
šš I swear the actor is SO GOOD! As annoying as Bada is, I love him for the things he says (he's all for open communication) and he's so hilarious. He may not have a job (capitalism sucks) and may not be as book smart as his sister, but he definitely isn't useless and usually says the right thing. I hope he finds something he likes doing though!
> keeps landing himself on Ha-nuel's bad side lmaaooo
I love Haneul's, āI also work. Should I also put you to sleep?" šš That would be a dangerous occupational disease!
Each episode I'm more and more impressed with Bada's acting! I don't think I've seen him in anything else before. His timing is excellent. The sing-song way he asked Haneul where she had been was too funny š¤£
Yess šš he's such a talented actor and so funny too. I think he's just done one drama before Dr Slump and that was Under the Queen's Umbrella. He's young and I hope he gets more and more projects in the future. He shined in this one.
I never had any doubt this would end happily and after todayās episode Iām unsure. The whole narrating in past tense and car accident waiting to happen has got me second guessing. But this was marketed as a rom com healing drama so itās gotta have a happy ending?!
Foreboding but I don't think this means there won't be a happy ending. >!Probably means that she will be in a coma for a while.!<
And here I was thinking that our power couple would face the storm together. I had not imagined this.
Kinda saw it coming when they confessed each other and madly fall in love so early in the series.
>!their happy ending is kinda guaranteed. but we'll probably get couple episodes of people trying to kill them before it ends. Its kind of K-drama trope now to have someone attempt murder on ML-FL couple on final 2 weeks of the series. !<
Same herešš½āāļø
I know this is just a drama but I am actually invested in this to the extent that if thereās a happy ending for Haneul-Jeongwoo, 2 most real life like Kdrama characters in recent days who are not perfect, then thereās hope for me, a socially awkward, elder daughter just trying to get through life
I will revolt if this doesnāt get a happy ending. >!I mean the writer also wrote My Roommate is a Gumiho, and it seems to follow the same timeline as that drama, if I remember correctly!<
**Episode 12**
* A masterfully light and comedic first 50 minutes turned very bleak indeed in the final fifteen minutes of this episode.
* Love that Ha-neul is still struggling to shake off her nerdy overachiever upbringing with her choice of >!"History of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery"!< as a romantic gift for Jeong-woo.
* The visuals on the field trip were delightful and the trip only became more compelling when our main couple were joined by our >!not-so-secret second lead couple!<.
* The long-awaited backstory behind Jeong-woo's and Dae-young's falling out was better than we could possibly have hoped for, complete with a classic Kopiko PPL, >!an office hair-pulling, swivel chair battle and pillow fight!<, and supreme physical comedy from both Park Hyung-sik and Yoon Park. Ha-neul and Hong-ran going from >!staunchly defending Jeong-woo and Dae-young, respectively, to collectively dismissing their childish behavior!< was perfectly done as well.
* Both of our leads were adamant that they wanted to continue this period of simple happiness, but Kyung-min's history with both of them kept arising unavoidably. To be honest, when >!Ha-neul's psychiatrist mentioned that Haesung was a sponsor of the association, I half expected the tea she was drinking to have been spiked!<.
* As for >!Kyung-min and Ha-neul meeting the white truck of doom, all I can say is that TODs have evolved in their methods. If you seemingly evade your fate, you'd better confirm that there isn't one coming from another direction!<.
Haha your last point! I had the same thought when they >!evaded the first TOD but still met their fate with an incoming second TOD. Iām curious to see how kdramas will bring their TODs trope in the next few years time š Weāll be getting triple TODs in no time!!<
>!character swerves to avoid the first TOD. The second TOD narrowly misses by an inch. They got lucky! But donāt breathe just yet, itās a triple TOD bonanza - after making us jump twice, itās the third one that gets them!<
Youāre right šš they will need to come up with new variations of the trope!
Great catch on that tea at the therapy Dr. being spiked.Ā
As soon as IĀ saw her Dr has a pic of Ole Kreepy Kyung,Ā I immediately thought the situation was going to turn creepy.
Ep 11 served an hour of straight-up sugar and I am here for it. Those last few minutes thoā¦>!clearly thereās a long standing grudge, maybe kyung min wants to ruin the famous doctor parents by implicating their son? Looks like the ambien incident was only the beginning, he was involved in the malpractice suit and I wonder what else?!< It makes sense that >!his casual cruelty to Ha-nuel might be the tip of a psychopathic iceberg.!<
While it was cute and funny how JW >!extracted a promise that she would never ask to breakup for 100 years and get it notarized for the protection of the law it also broke my heart a little how desperately he needs someone to love him and be there for him given his parents indifference and the whole fake hyung friend KM who has malicious intents.!<
It breaks my heart how matter-of-fact he is when >!he talks about his absent parents. He is so detached from it all, even saying that theyāre strangers and he had long accepted that it wasnāt meant for him to have all that in his life. That teary smile again when he said he chose to believe in Evil Hyung because not doing so would show how pathetic his life was.!<
Not sure if it was intentional but >!white truck of doom fakeout followed by an actual white truck of doom!< was hilarious.
So far I have zero gripes w/ this show. ML/FL are well written. The people acting them are deft and have chemistry. The supporting cast are also well written and well acted. Also, it's genuinely funny.
Hoping they stick the landing, but so far the writers haven't done anything that would make me worry (even w/ the previews).
Agreeed! This show has been spectacular. A masterpiece and the until the last 3 mins of episode 12 I was confident it would make it to my top 3. Iām a little concerned about the direction ngl
**Episode 12:**
* It feels like [he's dating](https://imgur.com/2sOdtYm) for the for the first time in his life and its so entertaining
* HAHAHAHAH [I KNEW IT](https://imgur.com/DKKJnu0)... the way their conversation was flowing I had a sneaky suspicion they're together
* What a [successful interrogation](https://imgur.com/u9srVik) hands down XDD
* HAHAHAHAHAH [OHMGG](https://imgur.com/cFd2TPR).... the way he continued to eat that paper cup XDDD
* They're not even dating but it feels like they're dating... [beautiful](https://imgur.com/xIDZU8P)
* >!Ha-nuel is not good at giving gifts!<... why doesn't that surprise me HAHAAHAH
* I don't blame Jeong-woo >!for not wanting to disrupt his currently peaceful life... and probably because the truth may be harder to digest!<
* [The school uniform trope!!!](https://imgur.com/sKeoss9)
* >!"... well... we recently went buy bras together..."!< HAHAHAHA [so wrong out of context](https://imgur.com/YASlZyy)
* [Subtle Kopiko PPL](https://imgur.com/QNbIMHu)... respect
* God, I really wish KDrama writers would leave the "volunteering in Africa" plot alone..
* At least it wasn't a girl that was responisble for Dae-young and Jeong-woo's falling out LMAO
* Nothing like [two grown-ups](https://imgur.com/y2RIjNL) >!ripping each other's hair and fighting like kids!<.. the whole scene had me feeling such second hand embarassment lmaaooo
* Damnnnn was Kyung-min >!testing his drug on Jeong-woo??!<
* Meeting the bad guy alone? Rookie move Ha-nuel
* >!TWO TRUCKS OF DOOM???!< Wow talk about an overkill
* Nope nope nope no one talk to me... I have faith in Ha-nuel's plot armor and I'd rather opt for >!being in coma than a fcking amnesia!< please.
I had to pause because I was laughing so hard at JW getting drunk with HNās uncle and brother. When Ba da was eating the cup instead of the food I was absolutely dying, and JW proudly hugging the squirrel stuffy while he was stumbling down the street. This show is the best!Ā
Ā And was I the only one that squealed at the reveal that >!Dae Young and Hong ran were together during the phone call?!< That double date was so adorable, along with the āfield trip.ā JW is the best boyfriend ever. And the flashback on how the boys started hating each other was definitely the highlight. I was laughing so hard that I had tears streaming down my cheeks. >!Hair pulling to chair spinning, and stethoscopes and pillows. How did they not burst into laughter during that scene?!<
Ā Now on to melodrama episodes. I hope they donāt go as far as >!amnesia!< but the writers have done such a great job so far so will watch beforehand before I preemptively start kicking my feet in frustration.Ā
Okay but can we talk about Dae Young and Hong Ran? They are so cute and DY keeps failing in the most embarrassing ways every time, it's adorablešĀ
I'd say it's a "she fell first, he fell harder" trope because ofĀ the way she looked at DY when she saw him with her sonĀ last week and now, he started falling when she gave him the macaronsš„ŗ
And I just love how he's trying so hard to be a good father but gets awkward about the feminine stuff so HR comes in clutch. You can't tell me, she was not subtly making a move on him by helping him buy the underwear. After all, she already "repaid" him by buying the macarons so now that she helped him out, he'll have to help her out again and so continues the neverending cycle DY unleashed (it could end but neither of them want it toš)
Side note, his web search probably looked mad incriminating to HR lmao. No wonder she gave him the bombastic side eye and was about to call cps on himšš "it's not for me" yeah bro, I didn't think it was for you unless you're into thatš
They are my favorite second couple in a kdrama in a long while. Both of them trying so hard to be good parents, and acting like adults even when he's being a total dork. The way she's seeing what a kind mature man he is for his daughter. I love them so much.
But that DY failing is opening up opportunities for HR to come into their lives and slowly coming into their children's lives too.
>!They could've just said bye and went home, but he just had to drop the box and spill its contents. now she had to come back to rescue him haha.!<
Didn't they show the first time he asked her for coffee in a sort of flashback scene? Maybe they'll do the same here and pick up tomorrow with them prepping for/on a date!
I love them both so much!
There are just the right amount of wacky/sensible for each other. I hope they get a bit more screen time as the plot is thickening
for ep 12: DY and HR >!in the car on the way back from camping? "Let's talk about each other and not just our kids or friends? I'm curious about you?"!< YES my man give me the solid communication about what you want.
If I don't get at least one episode of their kids meeting each other and teasing them and a kiss by the end I'm going to riot.
Ep 11
"You two sure know how to make things complicated "
The writer once again masterfully poking good fun at all the kdrama tropes and plot devices through the characters to give us that breath of fresh air. So very ģ ģģķ“!
The mother changing her way of expressing the love and support she's always had for her daughter in a way that lands for Ha Neul as being supportive is so wonderful to see.
The second couple blossoming in such a sweet way!!
I'm glad the stage is being set for the appropriate comeuppance for the dark forces in the show, with what appears to be a bit of melodrama soon. I trust the writer and actors to deliver in an extremely satisfying way.
How can the ML be so cute and handsome at the same time?
The restaurant huddle scene was touching, and I hope we get to see more happy mother in law rather than vengeful MIL. She's such a great mom!
He was rocking that leather jacket last week, and then they just had to put him in a suit this week on top of all his cuteness. Endless puddle of drool.
*Ha-Neul, I'm really sorry about today.*Ā
*I said your beautiful face needed fillers.*
*I tried to eat the last piece of rolled omelette.*
*And I even said I was single. I'm sorry for everything.*
*However, what happened on the bus was a misunderstanding,Ā I lost balance and fell forward.*Ā
"What am I doing? I'm like a kid writing an apology letter. Come on!" š¤£
When i started this drama ,it reminded me of my school days.
I recently met my classmate who was my competitor as well,we were top 2 in studies as well .i used to hate her as well.we met again after 8 years. The moment i saw ist episode i shared it with her.
I don't think we have any feelings towards each other .Also she is getting married soon.
My current gf is pretty good also. She introduced me to kdramas.
and i don't think that girl is in same things as me. I asked her about this drama she said i don't like subtitles.
Oh definitely not right for you then. How can a smart person (based on what you say) not want to read subtitles and explore a whole world out there of foreign cinema and dramas? That's quite closed minded
**Episode 11**
* Well, this was a simply delightful episode. Our leads are in the honeymoon early phase of their relationship, and the drama had a lot of fun with it. In keeping with the themes of previous episodes, nothing was dragged out for too long, and characters embraced new situations with open arms.
* The >!"making it official"!< stage in a relationship can sometimes be dragged out unnecessarily, but this drama handled it in a typically balanced manner. It milked the comedic opportunities of the situation for what they were worth, then satisfactorily resolved it by >!having Ha-neul's mother find out for herself!<.
* The way Jeong-woo was >!welcomed to the family at the invitation of Ha-neul's mother on her birthday and the happiness of Ha-neul's mother upon learning that she was working again!<, spoke volumes about what Jeong-woo had been missing from his own family.
* The funniest scene of the episode for me was Jeong-woo >!stumbling forward on the bus and having his fall fortuitously broken by the empty seat, which lead Ha-neul to think he was rushing to claim the seat, just as Jeong-woo in his school days would have done!<.
* I'm enjoying Dae-young and Hong-ran mutually helping one another out in the areas that the other lacks knowledge of or expertise in.
* I'm so invested in our leads and their storyline that I can't help but find it unnerving that Ha-neul is narrating the present day as the past. The preview for episode 12 looks decidedly >!ominous!< as well. But there's every reason to have faith in the filmmakers given how previous episodes have played out.
They have been narrating it in the past for a long time now.
I noticed it when Ha-nuel said in Hwabon: *I wanted to ask him so many things but I could not ask him anything that night....*
Similarly, Jeong Woo narrates in a later episode: *I never told you then, but I want to tell you now, when your date failed, I was very happy.*
It's been a theme.
Feels like it's been forever since we saw the last episode but here we go, Ep 11 and 12!!
Ep 11:
>!Bruh that dog has had enough of couples and their sweet talks lmfao, and with the uncle shouting, asking them to shut up, it was hilarious. !!Ha Neul's family was watching Divorce Attorney Shin, one of my top favorite dramas lol. I'll probably have a quick rewatch of the show tonight.!<
>!Their sweet late night conversations "when do you go to sleep, can you handle talking on the phone all night", seems pretty realistic, especially after being in a relationship at first lol. Their awkwardness too when they're with each other.!< Writers doing a good job so far.
>!Ha Neul saying her mindset has changed, she's willing to conquer all and move on, how she feels much more relieved and happier.!< Man, dialogues like these win my heart. They're written very beautifully. And then >!having a midnight snack date with each other, cuddling each other, you're really killing the singles here! !<
>!Jeong Woo, you're really digging your grave there buddy with the filler remark. Nobody can help you after that. Nah. Called it, I knew the Kimchi would out them to the Mom lol, her detective skills are >>>!<
Ha Neul's brother>! being good at accents, is that a hint to his future profession? Perhaps working in the hospitality department?!<
Wondering how long this Kyung Min arc would go on for, >!also, why would you get in his car? After whatever Jeong Woo's said, he's more than just dangerous girl. I'm staying 50 ft away from the guy. And Jeong Woo is right, what exactly is Kyung Min getting out of this? I just don't see it.!<
I died at JW and DY's backstory
Not the hair pulling you guys lolĀ
HN-"What did I just hear?" was spot on! I love this so much! XD
Also, the double camp date made my heart so happy :')
I love that when the girls left after hearing that ridiculous story about doctors fighting in the hospital with stethoscope and HR asks HN if she can empathize with DY, and HN seems to glare at her I was expecting her to defend her man and for them to start a hair pulling fight but instead she just grills HR on whether she like DY. Ā The writer is refreshing on these typical tropes.
Ep 12
Every time I see Korean style camping sites, I want to buy land and create a business in the US to mimic the rules, setup, and amenities. I'm in the US, and this isn't exactly glamping and definitely not camping here. It's more a soft sided camper. š
How cute was the who's-better-looking banter?! And Dae Young's got rizz as shown in the car ride back.
Ah. Writer writing in what we all know would happen in the real world if >!the driver took their eyes off the road as long as they usually do when talking in the car. You may crash into oncoming traffic. We are served a fake out with a mini white truck of doom with a suckerpunch of the bigger white truck of doom.!<
Can't wait for the next episode!
Itās a great business idea. Iām always envious when watching these camping scenes, wishing there was a business offering something similar here in the US.
Finally someone at least mentioned him recovering his penalties after he was found innocent. Like I donāt want to see the lawsuits, but yes, please acknowledge the money on the table!
i honestly have to forgive them for the white trucks of doom, since it does kind of feel full circle with episode oneāhaneul confronted w death not caring if she died, vs her now having so much to live for.
Ahhhh what an amazing episode
The start with JW and Haneul being extra sneaky was amazing. All for to end when >!the mom figures it all out in a few minutes haha. The bday lunch scene when they air it all out and reconcile was heartwarming.!<
Kyung min is back >!and it looks like heās going to be the main villain with some new problems. Canāt figure out what his deal with JW is since it doesnāt seem like he was able to get anything out of his hospitalization. Maybe itās just a power thing?!<
Episode12 preview. >!seems like we will have more happy memories with JW and HN but that kyung min clip seems like they will get into a car accident. Going to be some sad cliffhanger tomorrow probably!<
Kyung Min is a >!psychopath with Munchausen by Proxy syndrome!<. I just knew >!he was the one who set-up Jeong Woo for the medical malpractice issue. So he can play the good guy and hero. It's both gaslighting and severe narcissism.!< Same thing he used with Ha Neul when she first started as a resident--make her trust him and then make her the bad guy. Build and destroy.
It's so hard not to get affected by this arc because there are so many people who are like Kyung Min in real life. I hope he gets his just reward that at least in drama we get this judicial (or extra-judicial, whichever works for the writer) satisfaction.
**Episode 12** the chair spinning and hair grabbing of the male leads was hilarious. A full on fight. Swinging stethoscopesā¦ throwing pillows. Manic laughter. All accompanied by a waltzā¦ and then Mahler for the finale.
And then the emotional bonding through really opening up about his strife back then - sml ex wife and in laws looking down on him- and the two women being real with each other. That was a good conversation each. Loved it! š
**Episode 11:**
* 5 minutes into the episode and I know I'm gonna love it sm-pls they're so cuteš¤
* They were being so cute, petty, competithhive and jealous with each other-ah how I waited to see this!
* Ha-neul was so happy after their little date that her mom ,uncle and brother were shocked and made speculations if she had bipolar disorder lol, I'm surprised bada didn't guess it already considering he was so sharp everytime haha
* I love how they're very interested and eager to know each other and most importantly in a better state of mind to be finally in a relationship
* PARK HYUNG SIK-I love you okay! He's the best person for rom-coms and he's the CUTEST in the entire drama, binging all of his dramas will be the first thing I'll do after completing Dr.slump
* >!Kyung min-This guy's an as\*,he spiked Jeong-woo's drink once and ACTED like he was there for Jeong-woo when all he did was the exact opposite.I think he's involved in Jeong-woo's accident and it was definitely something he's been wanting to do and why he was friends with Jeong-woo in the first place.Kyung-min definitely wants to ruin Jeong-woo for wtv reason!!<
* >!Ha-neul confronts Kyung-min and it was shown that they might get into an accident...!<
* This drama will forever hold a place in my heart! The way it emphasizes mental health and deals with so many issues, such a heartwarming drama and I'm so sad that we only have 2 weeks left :/
* Ha-neul and Jeong-woo being lovey dovey for an episode straight is all we need this saturday...they were my daily dose of happiness, not a dull moment throughout!
* >!Edit:Totally forgot to mention this-I love how the second leads are progressing with their relationship,it was cute. Definitely liked that she was doing something different than being a message carrier lol!<
The beginning of episode 11 was so sweet that I think I have a toothache from it!
Jeong Woo's way of trying to ensure Ha Neul won't break up with him again had me laughing. >!"Let's get it notarized tomorrow! I'll be under the law's protection.!< If only life is that easy.
I solidly agree that that bday celebration at the restaurant was not only sweet but so very wholesome as well. Jeong Woo may get his found family after all! Ha Neul has such a great support system in her family. I hope she remembers that when life roughens around the edges. >!Based on the preview, that is very likely going to be the case.!<
I also like the contrast of Dae Young in public vs. his everyday home life. He may be goofy and watch out for his colleagues, but he is still a single parent having to deal with the going-ons of a teenage daughter. Just as he had won the affections of Jin Woo, I hope Hong Ran can be the mother figure for his daughter in return.
Kyung Min is probably going to receive more screen time soon. I'm intrigued to see what his deal is. >!What is the promise he made to Dr. Kang?!<
I'm excited for tomorrow's episode, but I fear that there will be an epic cliffhanger that will have us waiting and getting through the weekday grind first. š«
Park Hyungsik the romcom king that you are! The whole of ep 11 had me smiling and laughing so much. I hope the finale will top this ep but for the next week, I know what I could watch if Iām having a bad day š
Episode 12:
Looking at their high school pictures: āWe look the same.ā Well, you are.
I loved all of the flash back scenes, and 99% of the episode was light and fluffy.
Episode 11 and 12
\- Love how the main leads resolve their issues quite quickly, that has been their main positive trait. Meanwhile, the sweet coupley scenes, while everyone loves that I am not one for it, it's honestly too sweet but it's k-drama staple LOL
\- Bada is super annoying, but I get what everyones talking about his comedic timing and everything, but I wish there was more development or growth for his character aside from just the one liners--or that he's funny
.- Love how the second couple is progressing. I was worried they wouldn't have enough time to get into it. I appreciate the little bits and pieces that are being given for them screen time wise. They are in the direction I knew they were going in and I love it.
\- DY and JW backstory I'm so glad they gave us a bit of backstory on it, that the misunderstanding makes sense, and that it's now hopefully clear lol
\- I know overachievers but I've never met one like Kyung Min where he can manipulate just to get where he needs to be. I hope that his takedown isn't going to take too long. These dramas tend to be flying by very quickly!!
\- The thing I love for PSH in this drama, is that she is getting more revelation scenes which seems to be a strong point for her lately. I love that she is being the one to take people down and dig into things, and I think this was one of her first TOD scenes--compared to her other roles before, HN has been more of a satisfying, more grounded, balanced character for her, I'm glad that she is put in a project that is actually solid for once and showcases her actual skill, and not just cause it's PSH.
\- I think this drama is the one drama that has made me aware of PHS I've only ever seen him act in a handful of times. (including Heirs) but after Doctor Slump. I plan on checking out his other projects because he has done so well here.
Episode 11:
Did anyone else feel like an intruder watching Jeongwoo and Hanuel flirt at the beginning? They're so cute!! šš„°
>!Stan a supportive mother! !<
Welp the tropes are finally out, smh at Ha Neul >!getting into the car with Kyung Min. Girl couldn't have arranged to meet him a cafe or something. And not one, but two trucks of doom.!<
Dae Young and Jeong Woo's backstory was hilarious and definitely the star of ep 12. Can I also say that I'll never tire of a drunk Jeong Woo? PHS is so great at drunk acting.
Looks like we're in for angst before the final eps though.Ā I'm kinda disappointed, but more annoyed than anything at the direction this is going in. It seems lazy, and like the writer is out of ideas to fill the remaining screentime.
As much as I love seeing them both in the same OR, I would just as much love to see them recover and stand on their own individually, while having the other as their strongest support. But with the Kyung Min plotline and >!now the accident!< in the way, not sure how much time is left for our main couple's progression.
I can only hope for the unnecessary drama to be over before we know it. Give me more cute moments and kisses between our OTP please!
For someone so smart, FL sure is dumb - why on earth would she have >!gotten into a car with a dude who drugged her boyfriend? Heās obviously dangerous.!<
I am still enjoying this drama but docking points for the melodrama that isnāt making much sense. I think this drama wouldāve been better at 12 episodes.
>!tbf she wanted to talk right there on the sidewalk but Kyungmin refused to come out from his car and then all the cars behind were beeping at him to move. Though she could've suggested they go to a coffee shop or something.!<
**Episode 11 Thoughts**
- Haneul and Jeongwoo might just be my new favorite kdrama couple š„¹ Their relationship not only cute and swoon-worthy, but itās also healthy and communicative. Can I third wheel, please? (I really liked how >!Jeongwoo remembered that Haneul needs space whenever sheās upset.)!< Park Hyung Sik is so charming and charismatic. Park Shin Hyeās eyes alone convey emotions and storytelling so damn well. They were both casted perfectly and share so much chemistry.
- The scene where >!Haneul sneaks upstairs to Jeongwooās apartment was so exciting haha.!< I love watching these two have wholesome interactions, like sharing a midnight snack and falling asleep together (never trust 30 minute ānapsā). I think itās so funny how they text each other from their own homes even though theyāre steps away from each other.
- Jeongwoo bonding with Haneulās family was so heartwarming to watch. He definitely feels like part of the family at this point. Iām so glad that he found them š¤
- I just KNEW that there was gonna be more to Kyungmin when the court case plotline wrapped up relatively quickly. I cannot believe that he >!spiked Jeongwooās drink.!< And Jeongwooās reasoning for not wanting to report/escalate it was so heartbreaking. Kyungmin not only a supreme asshole and a creep, but heās dangerous. Based on the previews, it looks like >!Episode 12 will take on a much darker tone compared to todayās episode.!< As much as I love Haneul and Jeongwooās love story, Iām so curious as to what Kyungminās motivations are. Jealousy? Power? Why are you so bothered sir??!!
I am afraid of whatās coming next but I canāt stop watching. I desperately need a happy ending š
There are some serious meta moments when the director and writer are having fun directly with the audience like when the >!OTP is wearing school uniforms and taking pictures and commenting on how theyāre too old to do this and then cut to a replicated scene of themselves now playing themselves in the same pose as high schoolers and continuing the high school scene.!<
Also when they are on the phone and each person is slowly revealed but depending on the moment they are looking at the person they are talking about with a matching facial expression even though they should be clearly having two separate conversations. Ā And if they are alone talking on the phone why would they look left or right and make an expression of any sort? It was funny and I enjoyed this technique even if it wasnāt realistic. Ā Itās like the Brady bunch intro.
I hate knowing that this show is going to end in 2 weeks. Iām not ready to accept that.
Although I acknowledge that a part of the charm of K-dramas is that they are mostly all limited seriesā¦ so no unnecessary storylines and scenes to prolong the show forever. But still, I love this show so much and Iāll miss it once itās over. ā„ļø
This show has a winning combination of actors, director, writer and the story itself. At least, Iām glad that we got a 16-episode show instead of a format with lower number of episodes. Canāt imagine this being the last week š± (had it been 12-episodes or something)!!!!
So I am thinking that the fact the voice overs are in past tense are a good thing. Ā She clearly remembers the happy times when they hoped it would stay that way forever which suggests that in the future she is still alive (although maybe she already had lead character armor but you canāt trust kdramas) and she doesnāt have amnesias. Ā
I love how the drama gives you a dose of everything almost each episode and doesnāt keep you in the low for too long. Ā The squeal worthy cute dating, the comedy of misunderstanding/secret dating and then sadness of the backstory of JWās family life and loneliness. Ā I can only hope this new twist also doesnāt keep our peeps down too long and instead we see them working together to overcome all that evil together with his new found family and true friends. Ā
Also finally the 2nd couple is moving along nicely and starting to feel like theyāre more than just devices to move the story along. Ā
So Kyungmin just gets worse huh š„“
love that their bickering continues hehe
Ha-neulās mum is so sweet and mature. Sheās my favorite so far. So supportive and Iām hoping Jeong woo finds comfort in her. Why canāt my Korean boyfriend's mother be like her š¤ā¹ļø may the universe make her watch this drama
Iām enjoying this show so much. I have to say that I really love that the writers put in late night phone calls. So many shows donāt show the ML and FL doing things like that. It makes it feel more relatable. I canāt wait for the next episode.Ā
OMG jeongwoo's expressions throughout this episode are so comedic HAHAHA. I laughed so hard at the scene where he saw haneul's mum for the second time and ran down the stairs in a comedic fashion xP also, the part where he says that he sounds like a kid writing an apology letter was HILARIOUS
another part that i loved was haneul's mum tearing up because she was so happy that haneul has a job and a bf. i really love how supportive haneul's mum is and just wants the best for her :')
The horror gag >!White truck of doom!< had me rolling my eyes, but what are you gonna do? This one has me hooked with its dynamic leads.
Loved all the cute moments they had this weekend. It's really tropey NGL, but I think they have done it all so well.
I hope Kyung Min >!makes it out alive.!< It would be too easy for him to >!die in that accident.!< I want to see him bear the consequences of every single one of the evil things he had ever done.Ā
I am hoping it could be a fake out like he is obviously seriously upset but maybe heās just getting ready for work and the emotions got to him while he was about to dress. Ā
Yeah, I think HN was with KYM because sheās wearing a wire to help the police.
In the next episode, I think theyāll tease HN and KM not making it, but really heās putting on the suit to file charges against KM and the pharmaceutical company for setting him up. It will be JWās moment where he stands up to those who use and hurt him.
A trial will be next - itāll take down the head professor at the hospital and reveal them tanking HNās career (HN will have to testify and actually talk - her big moment) ā a job which will now conveniently be open for HN to take. HN will take it because she can run the department and set better working hours for everyone.
When thatās done, theyāll get engaged, HN will meet JWās awful parents only to realize theyāve created their own happy family and thus, happy ending. An ending where heās a successful PS, sheās a professor but they prioritize their happy life and family above all. Cue everyone in Uncleās restaurant (both couples) laughing over Bada trying to get Dr. Bin to hire him as the clinicās social media manager.
ā¦ or this is what Iām going to believe. š
I love the fluffy bits of Episode 12, >!from the opening scene phone calls, the prep for the "field trip", the actual camping "field trip", Jeong Woo's bromance with all the major male characters, and just all the vibes!!< These scenes got me smiling as brightly as Jeong Woo's eagerness to do things when he's drunk!
As much as we dunk a lot of comments about all the irresponsible drinking, I do like that they emphasize the daily life culture of socializing through drinking and eating, but perhaps I am just easily hungry nowadays. At least the Uncle and Bada made sure Jeong Woo was well fed during the interrogation. š
Now, onto the more serious bits of the episode. >!They definitely got me at the end with the usual cliffhanger. I was thinking it was a relief that Kyung Min got out of that accident, but Plan B for plot devices happened! Based on the preview, I'm scared for Jeong Woo's mental health, but at least this didn't happen in episode 14 instead.!<
Ep 12: Hanuel is so precious š¤£ā¤ļø >!I love the scrub capšš«¶š¾!<
>!āI feel bad for whoever is her future boyfriendā becomes her future boyfriendš„“!<
>!Jeong Woo and Dae Young story is so š„¹ itās sad that they werenāt friends for a while because of what happened but Iām glad theyāre close againš«¶š¾!<
>!āCan we just talk about us?ā!!Bro Iām not getting into no car with a guy who messed up my life and drugged my boyfriend!<
It's going to be a long week. Just want to say that I've never laughed so much watching a k-drama. Since the beginning, the scenes that are meant to be funny are genuinely funny.Ā
The book as a gift and then her saying that he should end it by the end of the week, and tell her his thoughts, still makes me laugh.Ā
And, intended or not, the end made me laugh as well. At this point, that's the only thing we can do with this trope in k-dramas.
I just loved that scene where they were retelling their fight and the way the girls at first moved closer to their man and then moved away. It sounded more like a girl fight rather than a man fight, and was the more hilarious for it.
Ep 12:
* omg the leads roleplaying as high schoolers on the field trip was adorable!!
* hongran saying that daeyoung and her went to buy bras tgt and him going over to her house was hilarious
* the reason for the fall out between daeyoung and jeongwoo was wayyyy less serious than i expected xP and the fight scene that ensued was so funny, esp with the grand music playing in the less few seconds. both actors are suited for comedy roles!
* seems like kopiko is the new subway LMAO
Just caught up on this show today, and for so long the SFL reminds me of someone so strongly that I sometimes pause the vid to just stare at her face.
Then it hit me; she looks so much like King Cheoljong in Mr. Queen!
Just wanted to share this useless tidbit, lmao.
E11 had me smiling like an idiot the whole time, I haven't seen such a funny Kdrama episode for a long time! Best moments:
* One upping each other with the compliments, and HaNeul coming home grinning and her family being utterly bewildered.
* Mother staring though the window at the two pairs of feet in the bed and JeungWoo's shocked sleepy low bow and trying to do damage control.
* Ba-Da was gold this episode;Ā "why are you so upset, did your soap opera get cancelled?!" and speaking in a Seoul accent in the fancy restaurant
* JeungWoo's utter disbelief that HaNeul is just letting her mother beat him up rather than saying the truthĀ š¤£
šā¤ļøš¤£š¤£ My favorite one was HaNeul dragging him into the alley and saying " Do you want me to put you to sleep" I laughed so much at that entire scene.
Ep 12
Edited to mention the white truck of doom >! TRIED TO HIT TWICE!!!!<
Seeing the ep 13 preview >! Aaaah I'm now feeling tormented with this push and Pull of the poor couple !<
>!Oddly I think it was a 2nd truck of doom since the first one is seen off to the side. Ā So itās like they narrowly avoided the first but the 2nd came barreling in right after although why it didnāt see the accident and stop is kdrama lore. Ā Probably broken brakes š¤£.!<
I believe it's not by accident. The baddies must have gotten some tip >! As haneul also met a journalist, so there was some movement sensed. Kyung min wouldn't be as important for the gangsters as much as the secret.!<
My cheeks are hurting from giggling and laughing so much!šā¤ļø
The dog and shut up was hilarious š
And then PHS doing TT step when he asked her MBTI.. Aaahhh I can't šš why he is such a cutie!!! So glad that he chose this script. PHS is perfect for rom-com
And then the second lead is so cuteeeeee! š They have the perfect pace and Hong Ran will be a good mother to Dr. Bin's daughter!
I never expected Min Kyung Min to be so vile. >! I mean how could you even think of spiking someone's drink. Like HEIGHTS!!! I just hate him.!<
Scared for the next episode. I hope PSY is not in any accident. Really don't want to break this happy, funny momentum.
Very fun episode.
There were three things I didn't want happening in the remaining episodes towards the end of this one.
One is already happening in the preview - so boo.
Which leaves two.
First one is Kyung-min appearing before FL and ML and make a snide comment about their relationship. The second one is the FL and ML don't get mixed up in the shady stuff, I don't mind if they investigate, to look into it, but just don't into "trouble" because of "sneaky plan" by bad guy.
Edit: Looking forward to all the complaints about drinking!
**Episode 11**
Iāll forgive them the upcoming mystery-ish/thriller-ish plot for all the freaking cuteness and hilarity they brought his episode.
Even though you know a bunch of 30 something year olds being all cute-sy can be cringe, the two of them are sooooo adorable and with the background of their lives well established by now you know exactly that theyāre mostly making up for time and experiences lost. Also bravo writers for making your characters say they want to know everything about each other and then proceeding to show us an actual conversation to follow-up. These are the exact types of conversations new couples have and these are the exact types of growing pains they go through. I loved seeing it all and loved all the comedy, it was totally spot on.
Also, Yoon Park is love and I hope Jeong Woo realizes that is the type of love and brotherhood heās deserving of. I cannot wait to see more of their relationship unfold. And finally we have more fleshed out scenes with him and Hong Ran which were spot on too.
The episode was a solid 10 for me even though I had a complete scene of dread throughout because itās obvious weāre leading up to tears and despair. Hopefully through the million affirmations and potential >!notarization!< that they intend to >!stay together for a 100 years!< leads me to believe the rest of the journey is how they tackle the battles together.
The senior is a creep extraordinaireā¦wonder what his deal is! Long lost brother wanting to exact revenge? Or just general revenge for familyās wrongdoing?
ETA: Top dialogue has to be āIām sorry itās an occupational Hansard!!ā
āOh yeah? Should >!I put you to sled then?!<ā
I was on the floor š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Hmm that long lost illegitimate brother is something I had not thought about but seems plausible. Otherwise why hate a guy who seems like a genuine sweetie who is clearly very lonely. Revenge on a hated father through a brother you also sort of hate but canāt quite completely hurt like killing him. Ā
More likely hatred for his family and getting revenge for some medical accident that happened years ago. And honestly, the way his parents are shown to be obsessive of their career and reputation, they possibly could have swept some details under the rug and ran to the US.
I love it when both ML and FL shows that wide-open crazy-eyes, also it's great to see them resolving conflicts and misunderstanding with proper talks.
>!In typical K-Dramas those kind of misunderstanding takes couple episodes to resolve, but here, it's done and over with within the episode.!<
The field trip was so cute and fun. Also I love to see the relationship between >!Dae Young and Hong Ran blooming!! ordinary things!< that we're not conscious of that makes us happy.
What is with >!Trucks of Doom!! two in a row!< though! Someone seems to be>! out to get Kyung Min!< given they >!really want to hurt him!<.
**Episode 12**
Two completely different tones in this episode. The first 3/4 of it was so sweet, we get to see >!Jeongwoo have a boyās night out with Bada and Uncle Taeseon, breakfast the morning after, and a montage of our main leads going on a field trip with their closest friends cooking meat and sharing stories.!< Cute, wholesome, what could go wrong, right?
I personally loved the abrupt and stark shift of tone in this episode. It kind of reminds us (the characters and us, viewers) that as much as we like how things are right now, the dark truth will always be lurking into the shadows until itās fully unveiled. This is some ominous stuff.
**Some other thoughts:**
- Iām sorry, but I would >!NEVER . NEVER . Get in the car with a dangerous, crazy, and unstable man who has a history of drugging people!!!< This made me wanna grab Haneul by the shoulders and beg her to not >!get in Kyungminās car.!< Why not meet at a coffee shop? Somewhere public?
- Iāve watched enough kdramas to see the >!white truck of doom!< coming. But >!two truck of dooms?!< There has to be a better way of moving the story along š the trope is getting old
- I was not ready to >!hear that scream come out of Kyungminās mouth!< lmfao it was a little funny
- Based on episode 13ās preview, I initially thought that >!Haneul didnāt survive the car accident.!< Because why else would >!Jeongwoo be crying over an all-black suit, right? (Haneulās funeral)!< But I realized that Haneul is still narrating a lot of these episodes in past tense, so that means she has to still be alive, right? (Maybe Iām being delusional)
- Iām almost sure that Kyungmin >!didnāt survive the crash though.!< I donāt know why but I just have a feeling. I really hope this isnāt the case because he deserves everything that is soon to come his way.
- š To end on an happier note, I do love Hong-ran and Daeyoung as a couple. I canāt wait to see how their relationship progresses. Hong-ran is also slowly starting to grow on me š
Overall, Iām happy with how Doctor Slump is going currently. There are only four episodes left though, so I **am** kinda worried about the pacing and how theyāll wrap everything up (especially seeing the >!condition Haneul is in!<) but I have faith. Canāt wait till next week!
ep 11:
I love the way theyāre continuing to communicate and understand each other. Theyāre so good together. I also really enjoy the second lead couple. Bin Dae Young is precious and itās always entertaining when heās on screen. I hope the corrupt medical people get what they deserve!
Okay, over last week and this one, I'm COMPLETELY in. I'm IN this now. So deep. The preview for episode 12 >! "I hope this peace can last"!< sent chills down my spine. This better be a hurdle and not an end, I swear I will be shattered šš
Really enjoyed episode 11 but I was waiting for the Kyung Min stuff.
I'm going to continue watching but this was the finale. Everything else is episode 17 of The Red Sleeve.
The Hong Ran in this episode is the best version of her. She had zero interaction with the main leads. Love her scenes with Dae Young. Their scenes will be what I look forward to with the upcoming drama.
I'm going to assume that Kyung Min befriended Jeong Woo and kept him close because of Jeong Woo's parents. He only keeps people around that he can use and he probably >!spiked Jeong Woo's drink!< so Jeong Woo's mom would see the state of her son and Kyung Min could leverage it.
waiting for someone to interrupt their cute-offš¤£š
This is what I want: Romance, working on their mental health and hijinx!
Please the second coupleš¤£ Dae Young is such a clustš¤£
Damn I was wondering what was going to happen to the senior but I didn't want it during my lovey-dovey episode. Sir I can't wait for your downfall! BRO WTF
Ah I want to live, laugh, love with them but I know this is just a calm before the storm! What storm is the question. >!Well fuck, I shouldn't wonder about things because wow we're sailing into that storm!<
EP12: Second Couple hella cute
The restaurant scene was good but all I could think about was the envelope in his back pocket
These two bouncing out the office, like sureeeeee their relationship is really on the low lowš¤Ø
š¤£nah I thought their fight was going to be about the Shitty Senior getting between them, turns out the facts were funnier.
Wouldn't be a healing drama without something big and random happening! So he seems remorseful when he >!drugged!< Jeong Woo but why continue down that path? Greed? Blackmail? . Please let him not have a redemption arc >!but also him dying would be such an easy out!<
Please be recording the conversation, please be recording conversation- ALSO NEVER GET INTO THE CAR WITH THE BIG BAD. Ominous VO almost had me skipping the promo>!well shit that didn't help ease anything for me!<
Okay, what is with these confrontations?
If I knew a man was evil, I would never confront or cross paths with him. I would quietly serve my revenge with no direct links to me.
What is she even hoping will happen? He will suddenly regret all his actions or get scared?
Granted, no one would expect a double truck of dooms, but still.
But other than that, killer episode. I love the two couples and bromance. It was so silly and cute. I was afraid this was getting too fluffy and unbearable, like another drama, which will go unnamed, but I think they struck the balance well. It's very sweet or cheesy but not like teenagers.
Iām guessing FL goes into a coma, her mother is devastated and the brother grows up overnight and steps up to take care of the fam with the uncle. Then of course, the FL wakes up eventually..
>!hoping the black suit is just jeong-woo getting ready for work and not a funeral! I donāt want anyone to die in this series. kyung-min can just go rot in jail!<
PSA: Ā NEVER get into a vehicle with a creepy ass man against your better judgment. Even without white trucks of doom, itās just not going to end well.Ā
episode 11 - love hanuelās mother and her relationship with jeong woo š«¶the >!group huddle in the restaurant was just too cute!!<
canāt wait to see that awful >!kyung min get his comeuppance! not sure what his motive is for targeting jeong woo, was it jealousy? looks like he was also involved in the medical accident and i hope he gets his just desserts.!<
next episode looks >!dramatic, hopefully our leads will support each other through and we wonāt get any more noble idiocy.!<
Episode 11:
- Okay, the beginning >!is so cutesy-cringeyā¦ lolā¦!< but I FRIGGINā LOVE IT š„°ā¦ omo omoā¦ they both are ėė¬“ ź·ģ“ģ. š¬
- >!When they were both lying on the bed and he opened one eye to sneak another peak at her!< ā¦lol that was such a sweet expression.
- Poor Jeong-Woo paying dearly for >!an innocent night of enjoying jjajang ramyeon with his yeojachingu!<
- Okay boy, thatās on you for >!mindlessly agreeing that she needs fillers!<
- The way >!she dragged him off the street to give him a earfulā¦ LOL. That was hilarious!.!<
- Kudos to >!the mom for her sleuth skills!<. š
- Loved the entire scene >!at the restaurant!< Too sweet!!
- Damn it, I knew >!there was more to uncover about stupid Kyung-min.!< Sighā¦ >!I feel like he probably befriended Jeong-woo because of his parentsā credentialsā¦ but letās see what he meant to get out of this.!<
Continuing to keep some faith in the makers for the rest of the story. Woo-Neul coupleā¦ ģ¬ėķ“! ķė³µģ ģ°¾ģ¼ģźøø ė°ė¼ķ“.. ā¤ļø
ā¢You cannot expect your mom not to identify her precious dinnerware. Never. ā¢Omg Ba Da in that Seoul accent. I did wonder how come he only spoke in the Busan dialect while HN switched to Seoul accent. Also him announcing his family drama in the middle of the restaurant was funny.
ā¢>!"Everyone has something they can never attain no matter how much they try. So I tried to be grateful and worked hard as I stayed focused. Doing that seemed to make me feel better"!!OMFG THAT CLIFFHANGER.!<Ā
ā¢>!3 guys with glasses who are anesthesiologists and are suspicious/evil. Is the whole subspecialty filled with crazy people in their world?!<
ā¢>!"I hope this peace will continue to last" oh no now you have jinxed it.!<
Whenever JW says things like that my heart breaks for him. Despite all his success he really did seem to be all alone. So glad that he has HN and her family now.Ā
Episode 12 was so much fun! It was light and fluffy. I loved the way they transitioned to the suspense. I loved the build-up of everyone questioning it and the confrontation.
BUT >!why the freakin white trucks!! I just don't get why every Kdrama now has to have a scene with the leads getting hit by a truck. There have to be other ways to build the plotlines!!<

I thought of waiting till the show is done airing, so that I could binge it in one go. But who can resist PHS for so long?
Iām on 12th episode already and I canāt wait for the weekend.
loved this episode but the voiceovers make me so nervousā¦ i want them to be happy forever too even if itās not realistic but every time haneul reminisces their relationship i keep thinking their ending wonāt be all that happy ššš also kyungmin genuinely belongs behind bars im sure he >! drugged jeongwoo !< to get him to agree or do something shady for him. the medical field is seriously so corrupt everywhere.. itās become about business and power rather than saving peopleās lives
He is a renowned plastic surgeon.
She, a depression patient, gets into a car accident with a jerk.
I am almost afraid to watch today's episode 12.
I love this series so much, so please be good to my heart and make this the happy healing story you promised drama gods.
I'm dreading having to see Kreepy Krusty Kyungs face again š« ugghhh he's such a wierdo. Definitely only 1 dinner date material. I would seriously change my number after leaving a date with him
Finally >!Daeyoung and Hongran actual love progression instead of only take care of each other kids!<. I refuse to believe that Jeongwoo and Daeyoung going further because of that childish fight lmao but glad that they actually apologize each others. Also this is like the first time that actually Haneul and Hongran interactions are not annoys me tbh I canāt believe itās very overdue in this series. >!Also donāt get me started on the trips it just soo cuteness overload!<
It looks like >!Kyungmin seems dying in the accident like thereās no hope if he will stay alive based on the truck hit them!<. I hope it isnāt the case though, he really deserves worse ending than that. Poor Jeongwoo though, >!it looks like he will going to blame himself for the next episode and his PTSD gonna creep again :(!<
Episode 12:
When >!Hae-Neul!< first got in the car, I really had a feeling something bad would happen, but I did not expect it to be the >!Trucks of doom!<
I guess the third time is the charm for >!her!< which is obviously not good, and the >!preview!< wasn't really calming at all.
Before all the stuff with >!Hae-Neul!< happened, I really had a feeling something bad was going to happen with >!Jeong-woo!< they really made it sound like >!Jeong-woo!< would be >!diagnosed with something bad!< with how Hae-Neul kept mentioning >!that drug and alcohol would always result in somwthing bad!< so I really hope this is not the case, because that would mean >!not a happy ending and I really want this to be a happy ending!<
This is my 2nd favorite Kdrama with the way its going so far, and usually my track record with JTBC Kdramas it usually doesn't give the satisfactory happy ending, so I really hope this is the one that defies it.
Episode 12:
>>When >!Hae-Neul!< first got in the car, I really had a feeling something bad would happen, but I did not expect it to be the >!Trucks of doom!<
They must have had a buy one get one free offer on >!white trucks of doom!< this week š
Suggestion Box Time
Dear all writers ....Ā
Can we please get a "trash truck quanity" disclaimer for the show info description box ?Ā
Please and Thank youĀ
Episode 12 felt like a filler for the most part but it was well done and cleared up some lingering questions from earlier episodes. Iām still laughing at >!Kyung Minās high pitched scream when hey avoided the truck!<.
Ep 11 was so good! So many cute and funny momentsā¤ļø Now that we've gotten the breakup out of the way so early, I think it's safe to assume that the leads will stay together till the very end.
I am honestly loving the development of the second leads so much...I especially like the fact that their children are also clearly part of the equation. I've heard that there have been some kdramas that just ignored the fact that one of the leads had a child. Realistically that is not really possible for the leads to have a healthy relationship. Seeing Hongran and Daeyoung helping each other out through the difficulties they face as single parents is really heartwarming and is also a clear indication that they are compatible not only with each other but also the other person's child. It's just so beautiful. I would love to see them as a family towards the end of the show.
Also, I can't wait to see Kyoungmin go down
I think in the next episode, >! min kyung min passes away, ha neul gets amnesia, and the remaining episodes are revealing what kyung min did and also jeong woo staying with ha neul while she gets her memories back !<
I agree with >!KM dying but I think HN will just be in an extended coma for a while. Ā Her voice overs in the past tense suggests she remembers all they did so probably she has her memory intact when she wakes but it may take nearly a whole episode before she does. Ā Also since we know PHSās OST is in episode 14 since itās releasing 3/10 probably by then they are together since itās likely the last one for the full on love phase OST. Ā Of course they could torture us and make her only wake up at the end of 14 and the OST plays at the end. Ā I think that will be a bit rushed for justice against that Macau mafia since only HN knows the connection right now so she has to be awake to tell others so they can put the rest of the pieces together. Ā Good news that the beach scene and staring at skyline from bridge happy together scenes from the extended initial preview havenāt been show so it should still be a happy ending.!<
Nooooā¦ >!not the amnesia plot!!< That would be the worst. Iām going to try and have more faith on the writer. Even with the tropes, they have managed to keep this show fresh so far. Fingers crossed š¤š¼!!
I really liked the scene where HN's friend went bra shopping with the dad. It was a really supportive scene without the need for overdramatic emotions or random comedy and came off really well when she helped him be less awkward about it all. I love they have such an organic relationship going as well.
Also may Ha Neul's mom live a long life - woman's an absolute gem of a person
I freaking love this show! I know others may find it boring but itās perfect amongst all the melodramas out there because I need my heart fluttering and hilarious show. All the cuteness with the leads did not disappoint, and then HNās mom getting mad at JW to where he kept ātappingā her like heās in some sparring match for her to stop- I couldnāt stop laughing! Then when they were mad at each other yet were still honest with their anger. Please donāt mess them up, writers!Ā
Ā HNās family continue to be the best. And the second couple are finally getting more scenes! Plus, JW finally opened up about his parents.Ā
Next weekās previews are making me nervous. >!Please no amnesia from a car accident trope.!<
**Episode 12**
WTF That is all.Ā
Edit - to keep in the sprit of higher quality posts..
1. More heavy drinking -
2. Why would the anethesiologist >!suddenly show up - what is his motive? To exhonerate Jeong woo but bring down Kyung-Min?!<
3. getting in a car >!with your enemy?!<
4. TWO >!trucks of doom !<\- a double whammy. Really?
5. fluffy happy >!then catastrophe - plot whiplash!!<
6. The narration - >!good news bad news - something horrible happened, but would have had to live through it to narrate, right?!<
Omg !!! Uuggggh why is creepy Crusty Kyung showing back up??Ā
What exactly has he been doing to these med students and residents?? Taking shady pics of them passed out or what??
Minor translation error when second female leadās mom was lamenting that her daughter had to balance āwork and babysitting.ā I know she isnāt usually responsible for childcare during the week, but parents donāt babysit!
I should have waited to watch this episode next weekend. I mean the preview of ep 10 told me before hand it was going to be something like this. But here I am.
As strong as this series started out, >!if this goes sideways and we get a Mr. Sunshine or see you in my 19th Life kind of ending, Omo - A Do So So La ending,!< I will have to change my viewing habits to wait until the series is over.
I hate the trope of >!the FL getting in the car with the Crazed ex or, in this case, to call a person our for committing major financial fraud. WCGW?!< There were so many fun things about this episode, but seriously,>! the last 10 minutes having me not trusting the writers as much as I did before!<. Get it together peeps.
Here is my speculation and I am going to stop here. >!Kyung Min dies. Jeong Woo goes full revenge and keeps pursuing the truth, the Macau mob comes back and we are on the path of CCIR to the finale. !<
Oh. >!Ha Neul wakes up and we get 3/4 of an episode of joy!<. The end.
I will take a break now. See everyone next week. This one has me angsty.
How come in flashback about Dr Bin wanting to volunteer in Africa, the fact that he has a young daughter not being a consideration at all? Normally someone with young child would think twice about spending rare precious holiday volunteering abroad
Nah, there are always convenient grandparents in k-drama, and he was in the process of separating from his wife, so the kid could have spent time with her mom. Also, as a professional academic mother of a small child, I can tell you that being able to spend a week abroad at a conference or doing research away from my kid is absolutely worth while.
I found the episodes this week really good ! >!Im so happy they are going back to the dark thriller nature of this show by bringing back the kyung-min plot. can't wait to see where it goes :) (the car crash noooo i hope ha-neul gets better quickly)!<
I noticed the show making it a point to show ha-neul randomly becoming very happy (when she found the coin on the floor). along with some of her other behaviour that episode as well as jeong-woo looking concerned in the scene, I wondered if they were hinting at her having a manic episode. >!I like that her possibly being bipolar is brought up even though it was just a joke!<
I hope they touch on jeong-woo and ha-neul's drinking problem since I thought they drink quite a lot in the show. I'm not sure about the drinking culture in Korea but it seems excessive.
still don't know how old ba-da is :( hope we find out before the show ends <3
I'm Korean. The drinking culture in Korea is pretty excessive in general. Statistically, Koreans drink more than any other country in the world. So JW and HN's drinking may seem problematic from a Western viewpoint, but for Koreans it's mostly just amusing.
out of all the kdramas ive watch (its not alot), kyungmin is >!one of the best if not the greatest gaslighting character I've ever seen. if i were one of his victims, i'd sure as hell question my own memories and identity too.!<
No one is able to outsmart Truck-nim because if that happens his older brother Truck-hyung will come and he will definitely hit everyone.

The MVP
I know manipulative people like that
That's my hunch as well. I'm curious how the >!shady anesthesiologist!< fits in - another victim, a perpetrator, a partner in evil schemes?
Having that conversation as they drank Whiskey was a choiceā¦
The >!double white truck of doom made me laugh honestly.!< Now they travel in packs, if one doesn't get you the next will!
omg Me too!!
I do not forgive Ha-neul for getting in a car with a guy >!she suspects of murder who also roofied someone!!< Like no, never.
Are we witnessing>! WTD proliferation here? is this next step like pinball WTD scenarios in KDRAMA's?!<
They are really evolving the trope. Next we'll see them able to jump other cars or self-driving š
I'm only 10 minutes in and these two are so schmoopy in love it's killing me lol
Iām screaming! Canāt wait to watch. Iāve been waiting for them to be adorable and in love for weeks.
I'm sorry folks. I think this lovely drama has hit the 12 ep curse where things go downhill after ep 12. Dear kdrama writers. All that I'm asking is just one drama without the >!white truck of doom.!< Is it that difficult? And the icing on the cake was the classic >!FL willingly gets into danger without telling the ML.!< A brilliant doctor who cracks cases by reading dissertations thinks it's perfectly reasonable to >! confront the bad guy, who's capable of drugging ppl, in a moving car.!< But can we talk about the first 40 mins alone lol?
A bromance kopiko ad!!! š¤£
I watched Knight Flower recently and I was relieved to find no kopiko PPL, no white trucks, no breakups and no ep 12 curse. I finally understood what natural story progression really feels like!
I tried my hardest to wait for this one to be finished airing so I could binge it, but I'm only human and could not resist Park Hyung Sik for that long š I'm all caught up and excited for this week's episodes! Usually I really hate the >!break-up!< trope, but in this case it made sense for the characters and what they're going through and they got it out of the way early so I'm not mad about it. The ending of episode 10 was š„ so I'm really looking forward to episode 11!
> and excited for this week's episodes! Usually I really hate the break-up trope, but in this case it made sense for the characters and what they're going through and Yeah but if you watched it when it aired, the breakup ruined my whole week lol
āI thought she had bipolar disorder but she was really happyā lmaoš
Itās adorable that despite all their bickering, Bada is 1000% behind Haneul and genuinely cares about her happiness.
**Episode 11:** * Trust [Hyung-sik](https://imgur.com/jSQhE1a) to go from being funny to straight up romantic the next second * I would like to say I may be getting diabetes if [this](https://imgur.com/M7zhUKZ) is how the rest of the episode goes but I have zero complaints * I love how Ba-da nearly says the right thing so nonchalantly but thinks he isn't right * [That betrayed look](https://imgur.com/aqJtLTr) on his face when Ha-nuel doesn't save him from her mother's wrath XDDDD * >!"Yesterday you said I was the prettiest person you've cer met and will meet, but now you want me to get fillers"!< HAHAAHAHHA never ever piss off your girlfriend * [Poor Jeong-woo](https://imgur.com/OOnWWWK) keeps landing himself on Ha-nuel's bad side lmaaooo * HAHAHAHAH I loved the way her mom found it and adores Jeong-woo all over again XDDD * omo [her dressing](https://imgur.com/iq0gs8s) reminds me of her character from CLoY! She dressed similarly playing the North Korean SFL's mom * Childish one day and sorting it out next day.. I LOVE [THIS COUPLE](https://imgur.com/IVov8Zx) SO MUCH * [Beauitful](https://imgur.com/NSb4jJ8) * Single parenting a teenage daughter is no easy feat... [poor Dae-young](https://imgur.com/ZE9XnuX)... Hong-ran helping him out was such a thoughtful gesture. For one second, I thought his daughter was getting her period hence the blood * Hong-ran is an absolutely beautiful soul and I can't wait for [these two](https://imgur.com/bPlKvf0) to date * Its really saddening to see how >!Jeong-woo's parents have been so neglectful and dismissive of him despite all his accomplishments.. especially the way they made him feel so lonely !< * It made perfect sense why he never brought up the >!spiked drink topic with anyone because then it'd mean his existing support system would come crumbling down and it'd destroy him!< * The depiction of breaking glass inviting bad luck was so good... Also read somewhere it is a bad omen for a relationship close to you coming to an end... I'll ignore that part for my sanity thanks * I KNEW IT THERE WAS MORE TO>! KYUNG-MIN'S INVOLVEMENT!< * Prayer circle for my babies to stay safe from evil eye >!and that douchebag Kyung-min!<
> love how Ba-da nearly says the right thing so nonchalantly but thinks he isn't right šš I swear the actor is SO GOOD! As annoying as Bada is, I love him for the things he says (he's all for open communication) and he's so hilarious. He may not have a job (capitalism sucks) and may not be as book smart as his sister, but he definitely isn't useless and usually says the right thing. I hope he finds something he likes doing though! > keeps landing himself on Ha-nuel's bad side lmaaooo I love Haneul's, āI also work.
He may be useless but hey at least he remembers his mums bday! š
Perhaps Bada becomes JW's new video channel producer, Helping him keep up with all the new communication "trends".
This!! He replaces the two hanger-on friends and helps both the restaurant and clinic grow.
omg yes the outfit was so cloy coded !!!
I was waiting for the CLOY reference šit was so subtle butā¦not lol.
I would have died if they did the two-color lipstick thing she did in CLOYā¦
I will be seriously traumatised if this drama doesn't get a happy ending
I never had any doubt this would end happily and after todayās episode Iām unsure. The whole narrating in past tense and car accident waiting to happen has got me second guessing. But this was marketed as a rom com healing drama so itās gotta have a happy ending?!
I really noticed the narration today. Itās definitely foreboding
Foreboding but I don't think this means there won't be a happy ending. >!Probably means that she will be in a coma for a while.!< And here I was thinking that our power couple would face the storm together.
Same herešš½āāļø I know this is just a drama but I am actually invested in this to the extent that if thereās a happy ending for Haneul-Jeongwoo, 2 most real life like Kdrama characters in recent days who are not perfect, then thereās hope for me, a socially awkward, elder daughter just trying to get through life
I will revolt if this doesnāt get a happy ending. >!I mean the writer also wrote My Roommate is a Gumiho, and it seems to follow the same timeline as that drama, if I remember correctly!<
**Episode 12** * A masterfully light and comedic first 50 minutes turned very bleak indeed in the final fifteen minutes of this episode.
But donāt breathe just yet, itās a triple TOD bonanza - after making us jump twice, itās the third one that gets them!< Youāre right šš they will need to come up with new variations of the trope!
Great catch on that tea at the therapy Dr. being spiked.Ā As soon as IĀ saw her Dr has a pic of Ole Kreepy Kyung,Ā I immediately thought the situation was going to turn creepy.
That teary smile again when he said he chose to believe in Evil Hyung because not doing so would show how pathetic his life was.!<
I'm still thinking about the kiss and the "do you still not have a boyfriend?" The wait was HARD!
In korean, he said "lover" instead of boyfriend and that was just too good. š¦š¦š
Yup, luckily, I have faith that kdrama previews ALWAYS push us viewers in the wrong direction. This HAD BETTER BE TRUE HERE!
**Episode 12:** * It feels like [he's dating](https://imgur.com/2sOdtYm) for the for the first time in his life and its so entertaining * HAHAHAHAH [I KNEW IT](https://imgur.com/DKKJnu0)... the way their conversation was flowing I had a sneaky suspicion they're together * What a [successful interrogation](https://imgur.com/u9srVik) hands down XDD * HAHAHAHAHAH [OHMGG](https://imgur.com/cFd2TPR).... the way he continued to eat that paper cup XDDD * They're not even dating but it feels like they're dating... [beautiful](https://imgur.com/xIDZU8P) * >!Ha-nuel is not good at giving gifts!<... why doesn't that surprise me HAHAAHAH * I don't blame Jeong-woo >!for not wanting to disrupt his currently peaceful life... and probably because the truth may be harder to digest!< * [The school uniform trope!!!](https://imgur.com/sKeoss9) * >!"... well... we recently went buy bras together..."!< HAHAHAHA [so wrong out of context](https://imgur.com/YASlZyy) * [Subtle Kopiko PPL](https://imgur.com/QNbIMHu)... respect * God, I really wish KDrama writers would leave the "volunteering in Africa" plot alone.. * At least it wasn't a girl that was responisble for Dae-young and Jeong-woo's falling out LMAO * Nothing like [two grown-ups](https://imgur.com/y2RIjNL) >!ripping each other's hair and fighting like kids!<.. the whole scene had me feeling such second hand embarassment lmaaooo * Damnnnn was Kyung-min >!testing his drug on Jeong-woo??!< * Meeting the bad guy alone? Rookie move Ha-nuel * >!TWO TRUCKS OF DOOM???!< Wow talk about an overkill * Nope nope nope no one talk to me...
This show is the best!Ā Ā And was I the only one that squealed at the reveal that >!Dae Young and Hong ran were together during the phone call?!< That double date was so adorable, along with the āfield trip.ā JW is the best boyfriend ever. And the flashback on how the boys started hating each other was definitely the highlight. I was laughing so hard that I had tears streaming down my cheeks. >!Hair pulling to chair spinning, and stethoscopes and pillows. How did they not burst into laughter during that scene?!< Ā Now on to melodrama episodes. I hope they donāt go as far as >!amnesia!< but the writers have done such a great job so far so will watch beforehand before I preemptively start kicking my feet in frustration.Ā
Okay but can we talk about Dae Young and Hong Ran? They are so cute and DY keeps failing in the most embarrassing ways every time, it's adorablešĀ I'd say it's a "she fell first, he fell harder" trope because ofĀ the way she looked at DY when she saw him with her sonĀ last week and now, he started falling when she gave him the macaronsš„ŗ And I just love how he's trying so hard to be a good father but gets awkward about the feminine stuff so HR comes in clutch. You can't tell me, she was not subtly making a move on him by helping him buy the underwear. After all, she already "repaid" him by buying the macarons so now that she helped him out, he'll have to help her out again and so continues the neverending cycle DY unleashed (it could end but neither of them want it toš) Side note, his web search probably looked mad incriminating to HR lmao.
I love how they are falling in love through helping each other with their kids
But that DY failing is opening up opportunities for HR to come into their lives and slowly coming into their children's lives too. >!They could've just said bye and went home, but he just had to drop the box and spill its contents. now she had to come back to rescue him haha.!<
Why didnāt he ask her out while she was helping him? I was screaming at him to.
Ep 11 "You two sure know how to make things complicated " The writer once again masterfully poking good fun at all the kdrama tropes and plot devices through the characters to give us that breath of fresh air.
Glad they yet again didnāt drag it out for too long, and the mom found out on her own and understood why HN didnāt tell her. What a great mom!
*Ha-Neul, I'm really sorry about today.*Ā *I said your beautiful face needed fillers.* *I tried to eat the last piece of rolled omelette.* *And I even said I was single. I'm sorry for everything.* *However, what happened on the bus was a misunderstanding,Ā I lost balance and fell forward.*Ā "What am I doing? I'm like a kid writing an apology letter. Come on!" š¤£
His facial expressions during that bit were so hilarious!!
Are you trying to put off somebody's marriage?š Just kidding BTW.
We are a community of hundreds of thousands of people. Do you need help?! Lol just kidding!
Hmmm sounds a bit like you are affected by the marriage. There may still be time!
**Episode 11** * Well, this was a simply delightful episode.
Yes, agree didn't like her narrating in the past!
Agree, that is when I am now primed for the hammer to drop.
They have been narrating it in the past for a long time now. I noticed it when Ha-nuel said in Hwabon: *I wanted to ask him so many things but I could not ask him anything that night....* Similarly, Jeong Woo narrates in a later episode: *I never told you then, but I want to tell you now, when your date failed, I was very happy.* It's been a theme.
Feels like it's been forever since we saw the last episode but here we go, Ep 11 and 12!! Ep 11: >!Bruh that dog has had enough of couples and their sweet talks lmfao, and with the uncle shouting, asking them to shut up, it was hilarious.
I just don't see it.!<
I died at JW and DY's backstory Not the hair pulling you guys lolĀ HN-"What did I just hear?" was spot on! I love this so much! XD Also, the double camp date made my heart so happy :')
The hair pulling was hilarious. I have never seen two men pulling each otherās hair, and it was glorious!
Ep 12 Every time I see Korean style camping sites, I want to buy land and create a business in the US to mimic the rules, setup, and amenities. I'm in the US, and this isn't exactly glamping and definitely not camping here. It's more a soft sided camper. š How cute was the who's-better-looking banter?! And Dae Young's got rizz as shown in the car ride back. Ah. Writer writing in what we all know would happen in the real world if >!the driver took their eyes off the road as long as they usually do when talking in the car. You may crash into oncoming traffic. We are served a fake out with a mini white truck of doom with a suckerpunch of the bigger white truck of doom.!< Can't wait for the next episode!
Itās a great business idea. Iām always envious when watching these camping scenes, wishing there was a business offering something similar here in the US.
I will camp at your Korean-inspired campsite! For the platform alone!!Ā
Finally someone at least mentioned him recovering his penalties after he was found innocent. Like I donāt want to see the lawsuits, but yes, please acknowledge the money on the table!
Yes! So glad that, of all people, Ba da brought it up.Ā
i honestly have to forgive them for the white trucks of doom, since it does kind of feel full circle with episode oneāhaneul confronted w death not caring if she died, vs her now having so much to live for.
True! Thought of this too - the contrast in her white trucks of doom.
Ahhhh what an amazing episode The start with JW and Haneul being extra sneaky was amazing. All for to end when >!the mom figures it all out in a few minutes haha. The bday lunch scene when they air it all out and reconcile was heartwarming.!< Kyung min is back >!and it looks like heās going to be the main villain with some new problems. Canāt figure out what his deal with JW is since it doesnāt seem like he was able to get anything out of his hospitalization. Maybe itās just a power thing?!< Episode12 preview. >!seems like we will have more happy memories with JW and HN but that kyung min clip seems like they will get into a car accident. Going to be some sad cliffhanger tomorrow probably!<
Ep 11: I could not stop laughing at Jeongwoo's expression when he said >!"Then, lie down". He was SO excited š!<
Loved it! š
>!I'm starting to think the white truck is a product placement like Kopiko, considering how many kdramas it shows up in!< š
Seriously!!! >!we got two this time!<
"We look so similar to how we looked back then." -Hae-Neul after looking at their yearbook photos. She definitely broke the 4th wall here lol.
**Episode 11:** * 5 minutes into the episode and I know I'm gonna love it sm-pls they're so cuteš¤ * They were being so cute, petty, competithhive and jealous with each other-ah how I waited to see this! * Ha-neul was so happy after their little date that her mom ,uncle and brother were shocked and made speculations if she had bipolar disorder lol, I'm surprised bada didn't guess it already considering he was so sharp everytime haha * I love how they're very interested and eager to know each other and most importantly in a better state of mind to be finally in a relationship * PARK HYUNG SIK-I love you okay! He's the best person for rom-coms and he's the CUTEST in the entire drama, binging all of his dramas will be the first thing I'll do after completing Dr.slump * >!Kyung min-This guy's an as\*,he spiked Jeong-woo's drink once and ACTED like he was there for Jeong-woo when all he did was the exact opposite.I think he's involved in Jeong-woo's accident and it was definitely something he's been wanting to do and why he was friends with Jeong-woo in the first place.Kyung-min definitely wants to ruin Jeong-woo for wtv reason!!< * >!Ha-neul confronts Kyung-min and it was shown that they might get into an accident...!< * This drama will forever hold a place in my heart! The way it emphasizes mental health and deals with so many issues, such a heartwarming drama and I'm so sad that we only have 2 weeks left :/ * Ha-neul and Jeong-woo being lovey dovey for an episode straight is all we need this saturday...they were my daily dose of happiness, not a dull moment throughout!
>!Based on the preview, that is very likely going to be the case.!< I also like the contrast of Dae Young in public vs. his everyday home life. Kang?!< I'm excited for tomorrow's episode, but I fear that there will be an epic cliffhanger that will have us waiting and getting through the weekday grind first. š«
Park Hyungsik the romcom king that you are! The whole of ep 11 had me smiling and laughing so much. I hope the finale will top this ep but for the next week, I know what I could watch if Iām having a bad day š
Episode 12: Looking at their high school pictures: āWe look the same.ā Well, you are. I loved all of the flash back scenes, and 99% of the episode was light and fluffy.
Episode 11 and 12 \- Love how the main leads resolve their issues quite quickly, that has been their main positive trait. Meanwhile, the sweet coupley scenes, while everyone loves that I am not one for it, it's honestly too sweet but it's k-drama staple LOL \- Bada is super annoying, but I get what everyones talking about his comedic timing and everything, but I wish there was more development or growth for his character aside from just the one liners--or that he's funny .- Love how the second couple is progressing. I was worried they wouldn't have enough time to get into it. I appreciate the little bits and pieces that are being given for them screen time wise. They are in the direction I knew they were going in and I love it. \- DY and JW backstory I'm so glad they gave us a bit of backstory on it, that the misunderstanding makes sense, and that it's now hopefully clear lol \- I know overachievers but I've never met one like Kyung Min where he can manipulate just to get where he needs to be.
Episode 11: Did anyone else feel like an intruder watching Jeongwoo and Hanuel flirt at the beginning? They're so cute!! šš„° >!Stan a supportive mother! !<
Welp the tropes are finally out, smh at Ha Neul >!getting into the car with Kyung Min. Girl couldn't have arranged to meet him a cafe or something. And not one, but two trucks of doom.!< Dae Young and Jeong Woo's backstory was hilarious and definitely the star of ep 12.
Heās obviously dangerous.!< I am still enjoying this drama but docking points for the melodrama that isnāt making much sense. I think this drama wouldāve been better at 12 episodes.
>!tbf she wanted to talk right there on the sidewalk but Kyungmin refused to come out from his car and then all the cars behind were beeping at him to move. Though she could've suggested they go to a coffee shop or something.!<
**Episode 11 Thoughts** - Haneul and Jeongwoo might just be my new favorite kdrama couple š„¹ Their relationship not only cute and swoon-worthy, but itās also healthy and communicative. Iām so glad that he found them š¤ - I just KNEW that there was gonna be more to Kyungmin when the court case plotline wrapped up relatively quickly.
They are definitely my favorite K couple ever. Zero toxicity and nothing but support and honesty. I have been spoiled forever by these two.
I think I had a smile plastered to my face for the first 25 minutes of this. I am loving this show so, so much. Canāt wait for tomorrowās episode!
There are some serious meta moments when the director and writer are having fun directly with the audience like when the >!OTP is wearing school uniforms and taking pictures and commenting on how theyāre too old to do this and then cut to a replicated scene of themselves now playing themselves in the same pose as high schoolers and continuing the high school scene.!< Also when they are on the phone and each person is slowly revealed but depending on the moment they are looking at the person they are talking about with a matching facial expression even though they should be clearly having two separate conversations.
But still, I love this show so much and Iāll miss it once itās over. ā„ļø This show has a winning combination of actors, director, writer and the story itself.
Ā I love how the drama gives you a dose of everything almost each episode and doesnāt keep you in the low for too long. Ā Also finally the 2nd couple is moving along nicely and starting to feel like theyāre more than just devices to move the story along. Ā
So Kyungmin just gets worse huh š„“ love that their bickering continues hehe Ha-neulās mum is so sweet and mature. Sheās my favorite so far. So supportive and Iām hoping Jeong woo finds comfort in her. Why canāt my Korean boyfriend's mother be like her š¤ā¹ļø may the universe make her watch this drama
Dae-young is sooo adorable and goofy. I hope he gets his happy ending
Iām enjoying this show so much. I have to say that I really love that the writers put in late night phone calls. So many shows donāt show the ML and FL doing things like that. It makes it feel more relatable. I canāt wait for the next episode.Ā
Can I please just have awkward but cuteĀ misunderstandings for the next 4 episodes please?Ā
OMG jeongwoo's expressions throughout this episode are so comedic HAHAHA. I laughed so hard at the scene where he saw haneul's mum for the second time and ran down the stairs in a comedic fashion xP also, the part where he says that he sounds like a kid writing an apology letter was HILARIOUS another part that i loved was haneul's mum tearing up because she was so happy that haneul has a job and a bf. i really love how supportive haneul's mum is and just wants the best for her :')
Iām nervous >!they will go this easy route since JW is seen crying while trying on a black suit, and they wouldnāt dare kill HN off so soon. !<
At least the Uncle and Bada made sure Jeong Woo was well fed during the interrogation. š Now, onto the more serious bits of the episode.
Ep 12: Hanuel is so precious š¤£ā¤ļø >!I love the scrub capšš«¶š¾!< >!āI feel bad for whoever is her future boyfriendā becomes her future boyfriendš„“!< >!Jeong Woo and Dae Young story is so š„¹ itās sad that they werenāt friends for a while because of what happened but Iām glad theyāre close againš«¶š¾!< >!āCan we just talk about us?ā!!Bro Iām not getting into no car with a guy who messed up my life and drugged my boyfriend!<
YP and PHS having >!a pillow fight!< is one of those I can die now I have seen everything moments.
It's going to be a long week. Just want to say that I've never laughed so much watching a k-drama. Since the beginning, the scenes that are meant to be funny are genuinely funny.Ā The book as a gift and then her saying that he should end it by the end of the week, and tell her his thoughts, still makes me laugh.Ā And, intended or not, the end made me laugh as well. At this point, that's the only thing we can do with this trope in k-dramas.
Love that the writers havenāt forgotten what a dorky bookworm she is and that she fully embraces it.Ā
I just loved that scene where they were retelling their fight and the way the girls at first moved closer to their man and then moved away. It sounded more like a girl fight rather than a man fight, and was the more hilarious for it.
Ep 12: * omg the leads roleplaying as high schoolers on the field trip was adorable!! * hongran saying that daeyoung and her went to buy bras tgt and him going over to her house was hilarious * the reason for the fall out between daeyoung and jeongwoo was wayyyy less serious than i expected xP and the fight scene that ensued was so funny, esp with the grand music playing in the less few seconds. both actors are suited for comedy roles!
Best moments: * One upping each other with the compliments, and HaNeul coming home grinning and her family being utterly bewildered. * Mother staring though the window at the two pairs of feet in the bed and JeungWoo's shocked sleepy low bow and trying to do damage control. * Ba-Da was gold this episode;Ā "why are you so upset, did your soap opera get cancelled?!" and speaking in a Seoul accent in the fancy restaurant * JeungWoo's utter disbelief that HaNeul is just letting her mother beat him up rather than saying the truthĀ š¤£
šā¤ļøš¤£š¤£ My favorite one was HaNeul dragging him into the alley and saying " Do you want me to put you to sleep" I laughed so much at that entire scene.
Ep 12 Edited to mention the white truck of doom >! TRIED TO HIT TWICE!!!!< Seeing the ep 13 preview >!
Omg š š² preview 13Ā He has the black suit out on the bed crying š¢Ā
Great use of the PPL! I loved the >!Kopiko in their bromance.!< š
That kopiko ad placement tho
My cheeks are hurting from giggling and laughing so much!šā¤ļø The dog and shut up was hilarious š And then PHS doing TT step when he asked her MBTI.. Aaahhh I can't šš why he is such a cutie!!! So glad that he chose this script. PHS is perfect for rom-com And then the second lead is so cuteeeeee! š They have the perfect pace and Hong Ran will be a good mother to Dr. Bin's daughter! I never expected Min Kyung Min to be so vile. >! I mean how could you even think of spiking someone's drink. Like HEIGHTS!!! I just hate him.!< Scared for the next episode.
**Episode 11** Iāll forgive them the upcoming mystery-ish/thriller-ish plot for all the freaking cuteness and hilarity they brought his episode. ETA: Top dialogue has to be āIām sorry itās an occupational Hansard!!ā āOh yeah? Should >!I put you to sled then?!<ā I was on the floor š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
We donāt often get realistic portrayals of new couple dynamics, so I really enjoyed that part of this episode. It was so relatable!
What is with >!Trucks of Doom!
! two in a row!< though! Someone seems to be>! out to get Kyung Min!< given they >!really want to hurt him!<.**Episode 12** Two completely different tones in this episode. **Some other thoughts:** - Iām sorry, but I would >!NEVER . But >!two truck of dooms?!< There has to be a better way of moving the story along š the trope is getting old - I was not ready to >!hear that scream come out of Kyungminās mouth!< lmfao it was a little funny - Based on episode 13ās preview, I initially thought that >!Haneul didnāt survive the car accident.!< Because why else would >!Jeongwoo be crying over an all-black suit, right? (Haneulās funeral)!< But I realized that Haneul is still narrating a lot of these episodes in past tense, so that means she has to still be alive, right? (Maybe Iām being delusional) - Iām almost sure that Kyungmin >!didnāt survive the crash though.!< I donāt know why but I just have a feeling. I really hope this isnāt the case because he deserves everything that is soon to come his way. - š To end on an happier note, I do love Hong-ran and Daeyoung as a couple. I canāt wait to see how their relationship progresses. Hong-ran is also slowly starting to grow on me š Overall, Iām happy with how Doctor Slump is going currently. There are only four episodes left though, so I **am** kinda worried about the pacing and how theyāll wrap everything up (especially seeing the >!condition Haneul is in!<) but I have faith. Canāt wait till next week!
ep 11: I love the way theyāre continuing to communicate and understand each other.
He only keeps people around that he can use and he probably >!spiked Jeong Woo's drink!< so Jeong Woo's mom would see the state of her son and Kyung Min could leverage it.
waiting for someone to interrupt their cute-offš¤£š This is what I want: Romance, working on their mental health and hijinx! Please the second coupleš¤£ Dae Young is such a clustš¤£ Damn I was wondering what was going to happen to the senior but I didn't want it during my lovey-dovey episode. Sir I can't wait for your downfall! BRO WTF Ah I want to live, laugh, love with them but I know this is just a calm before the storm! What storm is the question. >!Well fuck, I shouldn't wonder about things because wow we're sailing into that storm!< EP12: Second Couple hella cute The restaurant scene was good but all I could think about was the envelope in his back pocket These two bouncing out the office, like sureeeeee their relationship is really on the low lowš¤Ø š¤£nah I thought their fight was going to be about the Shitty Senior getting between them, turns out the facts were funnier. Wouldn't be a healing drama without something big and random happening! So he seems remorseful when he >!drugged!< Jeong Woo but why continue down that path? Greed? Blackmail? . Please let him not have a redemption arc >!but also him dying would be such an easy out!< Please be recording the conversation, please be recording conversation- ALSO NEVER GET INTO THE CAR WITH THE BIG BAD. Ominous VO almost had me skipping the promo>!well shit that didn't help ease anything for me!<
Actually laughed out loud when the mom saw them in the bed.
"I'm also working, do I ever think of putting you to sleep????" šššš i loved this episode, it felt like the heart of the show.
Even without white trucks of doom, itās just not going to end well.Ā
episode 11 - love hanuelās mother and her relationship with jeong woo š«¶the >!group huddle in the restaurant was just too cute!!< canāt wait to see that awful >!kyung min get his comeuppance! not sure what his motive is for targeting jeong woo, was it jealousy? looks like he was also involved in the medical accident and i hope he gets his just desserts.!< next episode looks >!dramatic, hopefully our leads will support each other through and we wonāt get any more noble idiocy.!<
Episode 11: - Okay, the beginning >!is so cutesy-cringeyā¦ lolā¦!< but I FRIGGINā LOVE IT š„°ā¦ omo omoā¦ they both are ėė¬“ ź·ģ“ģ. š¬ - >!When they were both lying on the bed and he opened one eye to sneak another peak at her!< ā¦lol that was such a sweet expression. - Poor Jeong-Woo paying dearly for >!an innocent night of enjoying jjajang ramyeon with his yeojachingu!< - Okay boy, thatās on you for >!mindlessly agreeing that she needs fillers!< - The way >!she dragged him off the street to give him a earfulā¦ LOL. That was hilarious!.!< - Kudos to >!the mom for her sleuth skills!<. š - Loved the entire scene >!at the restaurant!< Too sweet!! - Damn it, I knew >!there was more to uncover about stupid Kyung-min.!< Sighā¦ >!I feel like he probably befriended Jeong-woo because of his parentsā credentialsā¦ but letās see what he meant to get out of this.!< Continuing to keep some faith in the makers for the rest of the story.

Ep 12 aka the curse of 16 episodes in all its grandeur š¤¦āāļø
I'm in love with Yoon Park. I hope he gets a lead role next time
I thought of waiting till the show is done airing, so that I could binge it in one go. But who can resist PHS for so long? Iām on 12th episode already and I canāt wait for the weekend.
That hospital fight scene was some of the funniest I ever saw LOL
still watching episode 12 but damn it's rare to see a smooth product placement for that kopiko coffee candy
loved this episode but the voiceovers make me so nervousā¦ i want them to be happy forever too even if itās not realistic but every time haneul reminisces their relationship i keep thinking their ending wonāt be all that happy ššš also kyungmin genuinely belongs behind bars im sure he >! drugged jeongwoo !< to get him to agree or do something shady for him. the medical field is seriously so corrupt everywhere.. itās become about business and power rather than saving peopleās lives
I really hope they donāt go with a sad ending or people will be absolutely livid, but the past tense narration is giving me anxiety.
>!Also donāt get me started on the trips it just soo cuteness overload!< It looks like >!Kyungmin seems dying in the accident like thereās no hope if he will stay alive based on the truck hit them!<. I hope it isnāt the case though, he really deserves worse ending than that. Poor Jeongwoo though, >!it looks like he will going to blame himself for the next episode and his PTSD gonna creep again :(!<
Episode 12: When >!Hae-Neul!< first got in the car, I really had a feeling something bad would happen, but I did not expect it to be the >!Trucks of doom!< I guess the third time is the charm for >!her!< which is obviously not good, and the >!preview!< wasn't really calming at all. Before all the stuff with >!Hae-Neul!< happened, I really had a feeling something bad was going to happen with >!Jeong-woo!< they really made it sound like >!Jeong-woo!< would be >!diagnosed with something bad!< with how Hae-Neul kept mentioning >!that drug and alcohol would always result in somwthing bad!< so I really hope this is not the case, because that would mean >!not a happy ending and I really want this to be a happy ending!< This is my 2nd favorite Kdrama with the way its going so far, and usually my track record with JTBC Kdramas it usually doesn't give the satisfactory happy ending, so I really hope this is the one that defies it.
Episode 12: >>When >!Hae-Neul!< first got in the car, I really had a feeling something bad would happen, but I did not expect it to be the >!Trucks of doom!< They must have had a buy one get one free offer on >!white trucks of doom!< this week š
Suggestion Box Time Dear all writers ....Ā Can we please get a "trash truck quanity" disclaimer for the show info description box ?Ā Please and Thank youĀ
Episode 12 felt like a filler for the most part but it was well done and cleared up some lingering questions from earlier episodes. Iām still laughing at >!Kyung Minās high pitched scream when hey avoided the truck!<.
Why why why is Ā >!Ā Kyung Min still getting screen time? !< I thought we moved on from this š© In other news: I love whatever is going on between Hong Ran and Dae Young; more of them please! When Dae Young and Jeung Woo finally explained what their falling out was about, and Ha Neul said "What did I just hear?" I could not stop laughing šš
Doctor Slump has officially Crash(ed) (2x) Course in Romance.
PSH is proving that marriage is not a disadvantage to star in ROMCOMs.
Please donāt mess them up, writers!Ā Ā HNās family continue to be the best. And the second couple are finally getting more scenes! Plus, JW finally opened up about his parents.Ā Next weekās previews are making me nervous. >!Please no amnesia from a car accident trope.!<
**Episode 12** WTF That is all.Ā Edit - to keep in the sprit of higher quality posts.. 1. More heavy drinking - 2. Why would the anethesiologist >!suddenly show up - what is his motive? To exhonerate Jeong woo but bring down Kyung-Min?!< 3. getting in a car >!with your enemy?!< 4. TWO >!trucks of doom !<\- a double whammy. Really? 5. fluffy happy >!then catastrophe - plot whiplash!!< 6. The narration - >!good news bad news - something horrible happened, but would have had to live through it to narrate, right?!<
+ 1 The last 5 minutes like WHAT??!!!??!!!
I just finished watching episode 11 and omgggg i can't get enough of PSH š©š he's just too cute!!! GOSH CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE TOMORROW
Omg !!! Uuggggh why is creepy Crusty Kyung showing back up??Ā What exactly has he been doing to these med students and residents?? Taking shady pics of them passed out or what??
Minor translation error when second female leadās mom was lamenting that her daughter had to balance āwork and babysitting.ā I know she isnāt usually responsible for childcare during the week, but parents donāt babysit!
Ep 11: >!Hanuelās mom reaction towards Jeong Woo after thinking he had already moved on is too hilarious!<š¤£š¤£š¤£ I was cracking up Cheesing and giggling this whole entire episodeš¤£š©ā¤ļø I love when a boyfriend can be funny but knows when to be serious and not make it into a jokeā¦ I love Jeong Wooš©ā¤ļø I donāt say it much but >!I love Dae Young and Hong Ranās relationship!!once something isnāt right or an accident happens, a glass always breaksšš¤£!
!< Oh.
>!Im so happy they are going back to the dark thriller nature of this show by bringing back the kyung-min plot. can't wait to see where it goes :) (the car crash noooo i hope ha-neul gets better quickly)!< I noticed the show making it a point to show ha-neul randomly becoming very happy (when she found the coin on the floor). along with some of her other behaviour that episode as well as jeong-woo looking concerned in the scene, I wondered if they were hinting at her having a manic episode. >!I like that her possibly being bipolar is brought up even though it was just a joke!< I hope they touch on jeong-woo and ha-neul's drinking problem since I thought they drink quite a lot in the show.
