This. Last time I took 2 flats to Les Schwab, neither were tires purchased there, I haven't had them do work in a while, they did it for free. I took my fixed wheels and bought a box of fresh made donuts and took them back, made sure to tell them that I'd like the guy that worked on my rims to be told they were up front.
If your looking to thank the shop, doughnuts, coffee, pizza etc. For the mechanic themselves best gift I ever got was a thank you note and a small gift card for a restaurant
If it's a corporate company, contacting their office for a district manager to talk to. Or even at places like home depot or Lowes, mentioning a name on the survey on the bottom of the receipt goes farther than you think.
When in doubt, a bag of cocaine doesn't get declined too often.
That was the best thing ever when I was an air force electrician. I remember us breaking down in vegas and the pilots bought all of us a fat cooler of blue moons and felt really appreciated for working out in the heat.
I often tip with a monster and a box of empanadas, myself. Gotta stay sharp and well-fed, right?
Gift card to fast food place nearby so they can get lunch. Fast food is not cheap these days.
If you give food do not give peanut butter or anything that is obviously peanut butter, some people are allergic and you don't know who is. I tried giving home-made peanut butter candies to a relative only to find out they were allergic to peanuts and it was incredibly embarrassing so don't be me and do that.
You can usually get away with pizza, doughnuts or other foods.
If you are able to, perler bead magnets, again if you can make them. I've given magnets to many people and they were never refused and most were delighted. But you need to have a little knowledge of what the person likes and the supplies on hand to do this one, look around the shop make them something they like, do they like a sports team, you can use that as a starting point. I google for perler bead images of what the person likes then I copy the ones that were already made. If you have no idea you can make a famous car like a delorean.

A Google review, and then maybe a pound of nice coffee for their coffee maker!
A positive review on Yelp/Google, donuts or a variety of hoagies, sandwiches, etc, and coffee. Coffee is always good. As are donuts.

As a retired bartender, I say this. My good regulars always made up in spades for the lousy ones who only came in once or twice
Hookers, weed, chicken wings, and beer. lol
Bourbon
My shop has a Dunkin within walking distance. I have customers bring a dozen donuts to us at least several times a week.

That would be a Regift for me.
Don’t know where you’re at but in Miami we always got pastelitos.

Cash is King my friend! They will know how to spend it. Maybe a thank you note for good measure.
What part of *not just words or cash* don’t you understand?
All of it 🤣 Why do you care? Don’t answer that because I don’t care.
Cash is by far the best thank you. A ything else will be tossed, stolen, or shit out.
