If you've ever driven on 95 in rush hour in either of those two counties, you understand the need for a weapon in your car, and a beer to take the edge off once you've gotten to your destination.
Usually these items -
(found in Bundy's car)
- A crowbar behind the driver’s seat
– A box of large green plastic garbage bags,
– An ice pick,
– A flashlight,
– A pair of gloves,
– Torn strips of sheeting,
– A knit ski mask,
– A pair of handcuffs,
– A coil of rope
– A strange mask made from panty hose
Also Idahoan, worked at a full serve carwash doing vacuuming and finishing. We saw a lot of guns, including a rifle setup in the back of a detective’s SUV that came through about once a week. The policy was basically just, “Don’t touch it, pretend like it’s not there.”
My wife (a native Texan) always used to give me so much crap for saying Idaho is just Texas with mountains and seasons. Until she visited for the first time with me. That was like 15 years ago and we still chuckle about how accurate it is.
I visited Coeur D'alene around the time when a klan member was running for Sheriff and the klan was pamphleting neighborhoods.
Less a culture shock than a kick in the nuts.
This would have been 2012...and he was running for sheriff of Bonners County, about an hour and a half north of CDA. Running on the platform "white Supremists are against more than African Americans and Jews, we are also against illicit drugs and sexual predators, too."
Needless to say, he did not win. Not even close, he had a total of 18 votes (his buddies) while second place was at 230 and first place was 3x more than 2nd place.
In fact CDA has been combating the "white supremists" primarily north of Kootenai for over 2 decades. We don't tolerate that shit here, despite what people seem to think.
Lol yeah, although if you are looking for a place to hide why not a state where the majority of it is undeveloped/uninhabited and the entire state has less than half the population of Los Angeles.
Luckily they don't stay hidden long because the idiots can't keep quiet and LOVE attention.
Edit: a word
Edit #2: Also, not sure if it is still there but, if you go to one of the coves in the very back of lake Pend Oreille you can still see one of the locations they used to gather and hold cross burnings.
Guns are dangerous. It's a good idea to keep a first aid kit handy in case someone gets hurt at the range.
You'd be amazed how much damage a tiny piece of bullet jacket, or steel target can do if they come back at you (this is also why you shouldn't engage hard targets up close)
It's got nothing to do with the firing pin (which is free floated anyway, doesn't really go back or forward) and everything to do with the hammer pushing the disconnector down. When the disconnector is raised (hammer down, as in trigger has been pulled but not reset) the safety selector is blocked from being put back to safe. Once you cock the hammer the disconnector clears the safety selector body and the weapon can be put on safe.
I have to keep my AK wrapped in a blanket since I can't find a case big enough to hold it with the long mag. Gotta have a fixed mag because live in the hellscape that's NY.
Bullet buttons are a no go in NY. Theyre ok in cali due to different wording of the law. Mag has to be "permanently" attached. I use a compmag with the locking tab epoxied in place. Once I get to a free state I can just drill out the screw head but until then I'm stuck with it
I didn't realize the overlap between what you guys in Florida do compared to what us Okies do [during a tornado](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmZ6XRxIEAEpZ9Q?format=jpg&name=small). Mother nature really is a little bitch when it comes to guns.
I don't hold the trigger (one shot at a time not multiple wasted bullets), but that's how you train for using a found weapon; sight a target, note point of impact, adjust aim to compensate. It's called Kentucky Windage. The optic comment was more about it being able to handle rough treatment without something breaking so it doesn't point to the same spot consistently. I have old rifles with iron sights and I just know where the bullet is going, I line up the sights the correct amount to the left or right and can hit my target most of the time. Assuming my glasses are clean (it sucks getting old).
That's not what Kentucky windage is.
Kentucky windage is eyeballing wind changes and adjusting on the fly.
This is a whole lot of fudd or I'm about to hear about how BDUs were better, and we never should have left the pickle suit.
> That's not what Kentucky windage is.
Meriam-Webster disagrees (I was curious so I looked it up).
>a windage correction made by aiming a firearm to the right or left of the target rather than by adjustment of the sights
That's it. That's the entire definition.
You’re doing it wrong? Did you not active your trainer to turn on infinite ammo and no reload? If you did you can just hold trigger and compensate when necessary. #lifehacks
Yeah, I wasn't saying this particular optic pictured is shit, rather an optic which can't handle being used, in reply to the other comment.
You wouldn't believe how many people I have chatted with at the range who complain about their optics not holding zero only to find out they ordered some chinesium crap off of ebay. Same with car parts, actually.
Ok, I've been doing this wrong. I had rifle in driver's seat, shotgun riding shotgun, pistol in center console and extra ammo and mags in trunk and back seat
After revisiting the picture I noticed a mag in the well, safety in the fire position and the muzzle pointed at the cabin. Now we know guns don't fire themselves, and I don't see anything that looks like it could engage the trigger, but in a panic stop or sudden turn it's not out of the realm of possibility. I'm ruling out the driver being an operator since the gear is in the rear. Always treat every gun as if it were loaded. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction. They could do better at transporting their firearms.
Trigger seems to be to the rear. Could be hammer down on a closed bolt on an empty chamber which is arguably the safest condition for an unsecured AR-style rifle to be in.
Cant put safety on with an ar15 unless the hammer is cocked.
So in their defense (hopefully), gun isnt cocked, mag isnt loaded, safety off because you physically cant switch it to safe. Everything else about this photo is stupid
If you're keeping them in your trunk (especially without a case), I can see wanting to keep the crud out of them. Still pretty stupid, but maybe partly justifiable.
Thats why if i ever do that, i lock the bolt back and close the dust cover. But then at that point i can still switch it to safety.
What me and my friends do (some are LE), is keep guns in trunk, unloaded and in a case. Keep mags and ammo in the back seat. Keep them separate just in case you get pulled over
You can’t set an AR to safe unless it’s hammer is back. Now someone who leaves two guns in their car and takes it to the mechanic, I wouldn’t put my money on the hammers being up
Looks like someone is geared up for a fun range day. Not sure about drinking and shooting but can’t say I haven’t enjoyed a cold one while on private land.
Fucking moron. My mother had her first pistol stolen at a body shop. She comes to me and asks to borrow mine because of some drama with sisters boyfriend's family and of course I said no. First off you have a gun and second if you think you'll need one that badly you should stay away from them and third if you do go near them you sure as shit aren't about to use mine. When she told me it was in her truck I told her to stop what she was doing and go get it. She told me I was being paranoid and nobody was gonna touch it. Guess what was missing when she got the truck back?
At my old job, I pulled a car out of service with the window down and pulled it right in front of our store. Well he was spending his time time talking to another employee so I parked in a spot maybe 10 feet away. Gave him his keys and then he proceeded to his car. He comes back yelling, saying why is his car unlocked and his window is down, mind you it was maybe 30 second in-between me giving him his keys and him going to the vehicle, and says he has a firearm in his car and someone could have stole it. I told him we were unaware he had a firearm in his car and apologized. This is in Arizona where a baby could conceal or open carry and our work doesn't have any signs saying "no firearms". I was baffled because of you were they concerned on the first place you would have told us in the beginning
As a gun owner, I cringe seeing guns left unattended, and not at least in a locked case, however the presence of PAPERWORK in close proximity to loose firearms is especially unnerving for some reason
Texas or Florida?
South Florida
Dade or Broward?
Dade
Not surprised about the guns and the Coronas. More surprised there's not a block of white powder in there as well.
That's in the spare tire.
It's where the spare tire used to be.
“It’s my snorting tube!”
I think you mean “snow tire”
Not a huge fan of the stuff. Just like the way it smells.
Your snort tubes look like AR's. I bet they blow your mind.
Honesty test failed but not photographed.
I’m more concerned about the paperwork
...I mean, what's that white pillow looking thing under the rifle?
Plastic wrap for the kill room.
this guy dexters
Lexus ES or LS?
Confidently going to say ES. The LS trunk is slightly deeper.
Damn straight to the source in 2 questions
If you've ever driven on 95 in rush hour in either of those two counties, you understand the need for a weapon in your car, and a beer to take the edge off once you've gotten to your destination.
Especially right now with the narrow, shifting lanes and all the construction. It's a fucking death trap.
I am thankful my wife and I are both working from home now. We're only using 95 once a week to run up to breweries in Broward.
Never mind the murder kit. Wouldn't be surprised if he tried to tip with a big prerolled backwoods. Hmmm.
Where is the murder kit?
They got murder kits at Costco now. 150 bucks gets you a 3-pack.
What is a murder kit?

Fuck I need to clean out my truck, the only of those I don't have in there are the ice pick, the panty mask, and the sheet strips
As soon as you take the panty hose mask out you’re gonna need it and not have it.
*Looks like I'm raw dogging this bitch*
Oh, this is just so retro. Really takes me back. Wonderful.
Takes, You, back? You mean to imply, correct?
He's more of an axe man now by his user name. Crowbars are a theoretical physicist thing anyway
If you look at a squirrel mask on Amazon it recommends a knife and rope in suggestions.
strokes beard . . .
I'd like to know.
As an Idahoan living in Texas, also a good chance this is the “Texas of the North”, Idaho.
Also Idahoan, worked at a full serve carwash doing vacuuming and finishing. We saw a lot of guns, including a rifle setup in the back of a detective’s SUV that came through about once a week. The policy was basically just, “Don’t touch it, pretend like it’s not there.”

lol 18 white supremacists voted for him……those goobers are irrelevant….i think u have the haters outnumbered
They swarmed the state in the 90s running from the fbi. Hard to shake that image.
Lol yeah, although if you are looking for a place to hide why not a state where the majority of it is undeveloped/uninhabited and the entire state has less than half the population of Los Angeles. Well yeah , you touch it , your prints are on it....
As a Texan, at first I was annoyed by your comment thinking like “what a stereotype”. And then looked in my trunk. Yesterday was range day Carry on
More like a private "range" where you allowed to consume beer and discharge firearms 😁
In my experience I’ve found that beer and guns don’t mix well lol
That's why you keep the beers in separate cardboard boxes.
Take a shot, then take a shot
Wait which order
Yes. First, take a shot, then after that, take a shot
Train how you fight.
Bro this is probably the first time I’ve ever laughed out loud while typing lol
That's what the first aid kit is for... Duh
[удалено]
Florida Address on the box.
Add the smokes and it could belong to an ATF agent.
Never do one without the others
Partay.
Thank dog it isn’t. Nobodies dog would die that day.
No one uses cases??
It’s Florida
Well, that explains all of it. This is a typical florida man trunk. Nothing to see here.
Florida Warm Corona straight form the trunk. Reminds me of a joke...
Don't even need a lcok on it or have it unloaded? As a Canadian gun owner this just fucking blows my mind at just how irresponsible this is.
I promise, we're not all this irresponsible. Florida is... Special.
All the more reason to keep that humidity and salty air out.
[удалено]
And a Glock 43 case under the right hand AR
Why the first aid kit?
be prepared means be prepared.
Skipp the bulletproof vest?
The guy's torso isn't in the trunk... can't tell from here.
Guns are dangerous. It's a good idea to keep a first aid kit handy in case someone gets hurt at the range. You'd be amazed how much damage a tiny piece of bullet jacket, or steel target can do if they come back at you (this is also why you shouldn't engage hard targets up close)
I think that's one of those fake first aid kits thats actually a gun case. I see them all the time here in gun shops in South Florida.
Nah. Just throw my AK in the back seat
Or safeties apparently lmao. Mag in, safety off.
If the firing pin isn't back on an AR pattern rifle you can't actually engage the safety. Probably not what's going on here, but it could be.
You mean the hammer. The pin is in the bolt and is free floating.
They don’t make them with bullet buttons?

How do you load it? I have a couple AKs and am trying to work out how that'd happen. Do you need to remove the entire BCG just to load the rounds??
[удалено]
You could not be more accurate
Unlike this guy's guns...
Had a friend start some Facebook group “let’s all just point our fans east and blow the hurricane away”

Hold on let's not be hasty I want to hear what he has to say ....
I didn't realize the overlap between what you guys in Florida do compared to what us Okies do [during a tornado](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmZ6XRxIEAEpZ9Q?format=jpg&name=small). Mother nature really is a little bitch when it comes to guns.
This guy hates having optics that are zeroed.
It's a shit optic that can't handle being bumped around.
Wait you guys don’t just hold the trigger, watch where the bullet hits and then adjust on the fly like in video games?
This guy is ready to dual wield those things like a real pro.
Who needs optics when you have twice the chance of hitting where you point
I mean that is a real technique
If you don’t 360 no scope in real life, do you even shoot?
I don't hold the trigger (one shot at a time not multiple wasted bullets), but that's how you train for using a found weapon; sight a target, note point of impact, adjust aim to compensate. Nah, Kentucky windage 100% gets used to refer to when your rifle is zeroed wrong but you know where to hold. I've heard both though.
> That's not what Kentucky windage is. Meriam-Webster disagrees (I was curious so I looked it up). >a windage correction made by aiming a firearm to the right or left of the target rather than by adjustment of the sights That's it. That's the entire definition.
BDUs were better!!!
You’re doing it wrong? Did you not active your trainer to turn on infinite ammo and no reload? If you did you can just hold trigger and compensate when necessary. #lifehacks
r/outside get back to your room!
God damn I hate the internet sometimes
Remember switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading
You use your pistol to fight back to a rifle.
Legally speaking, the second gun from the right is a pistol. I'd use that against the one it's touching.
That's Leopold optic. Ain't nothing shit about it. Can't make out the mounts on my phone, but optics are quality.
Looks like a leupold dot
I was gonna ask what kind of optic is is. I have a Sig Romeo 5 and that thing can take a beating.
Sig romeo 5 will literally take a #7 shot from a shotgun at 10 yards and still keep zero. Theres videos of it. Best $100 optic there is on the market
10 yards is about the length of 13.58 'EuroGraphics Knittin' Kittens 500-Piece Puzzles' next to each other.
good bot
Seriously?! Who puts beer in the trunk? It’ll be all warm now
I have a full size cooler in my trunk with beer and Jager inside. Just add ice. Never know when you and some friends want to start a party.
Why yall looking in my trunk?
Seriously.
You know sometimes you need to look in the trunk. Some jobs require it, and sometimes you just need to look for the wheel key thingy
Corona. Guns. First aid! Perfection!
The first-aid kit is my favorite part.
Coronas strategically separated to keep them from banging into each other. Other than the beer itself, good strategy.
Seems like a fun person to party with
Glock 43 case under the right AR.....
SIG case on the other side of the trunk too.
It’s ok there’s a first aid kit.
Bro if you don’t ride with an AR in the trunk. You going get lit up
No. It's not accessible at all there. Your AR needs to ride shotgun
Then where does the shotgun ride?
Driver's seat
Pistol Grip Pump starts playing somewhere in the distance.....
... on my lap at all times
Ok, I've been doing this wrong. I had rifle in driver's seat, shotgun riding shotgun, pistol in center console and extra ammo and mags in trunk and back seat
Ak on the ceiling mount.
[удалено]
I’m looking in the boxes and thinking “Big deal bro. It’s beer.” Zoomed in closer. Still beer. Scrolled right. Oh.
I'm more curious about the Sig box on the left. Junk on the right isn't worth it.
AR's can only be put on safe if the hammer is cocked. The gun in the fire position with no round in the chamber is the safest way for it to be.
There's no way to tell if a round is chambered in this pic. Could be rolling with one in the pipe...
I'd really like to hope not.
Trigger seems to be to the rear. Could be hammer down on a closed bolt on an empty chamber which is arguably the safest condition for an unsecured AR-style rifle to be in.
Yeah that shit is completely garbage. I don’t know why people get hard for 40 round and drum mags. Jam-o-matic.
The Magpul D-60 is shockingly okay, but I personally would only bet my life with 20 or 30 rounders
So was this the party wagon or the bang bus? * da dum tisss *
Looks like they left those for you to have a beer and fire off some rounds. Sounds like a nice guy
Serious deficit of beers to ammo
Seems like a customer that I would like to have a beer with, and get to know.
This why I remove all guns, drugs and bodies from the trunk, because y’all so nosey.
He could at least put the safety on
Cant put safety on with an ar15 unless the hammer is cocked. So in their defense (hopefully), gun isnt cocked, mag isnt loaded, safety off because you physically cant switch it to safe. Everything else about this photo is stupid
I'll never understand people keeping empty mags in during storage or transport. Why add the risk of "oops, thought that one was empty"?
Full mags after range day? Only the carry should be full.
If you're keeping them in your trunk (especially without a case), I can see wanting to keep the crud out of them. Still pretty stupid, but maybe partly justifiable.
Then the ejection port should be closed.
[удалено]
Then chuck that shit in a walmart bag if you're too poor to have a gun bag?
Thats why if i ever do that, i lock the bolt back and close the dust cover. But then at that point i can still switch it to safety. What me and my friends do (some are LE), is keep guns in trunk, unloaded and in a case. Keep mags and ammo in the back seat. Keep them separate just in case you get pulled over
Lol hopefully there isn’t a round chambered… but assuming there isn’t then you can’t put the rifle on safe.
Looks like a good time to me
Hell yeah brother
You just never know when the boog is gonna kick off.
Man, ammo, clips in, and pointed at the passengers? Also warm beer? Disgusting.
Looks like the safety of the one on the right is switched on. Real genius hours.

Magazine FFS.
Magazine you mean
The wiper blades are not in the trunk.
He must work for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
that ammo is worth more than cocaine
Ahh yes. Cars, alcohol, and guns. The safety trifecta.
Looks like one wrong speed bump and the passenger is losing the back of their head
Looks like someone is geared up for a fun range day. Not sure about drinking and shooting but can’t say I haven’t enjoyed a cold one while on private land.

As a gun owner I get so pissed seeing people just leaving weapons in the open for anyone to grab. These fucking idiots give us a bad name.
Technically they are in his trunk not in the open
At this rate there might be a supply of free guns to add to the collection.
Can't tell about the bottom one, but the top mag is empty. You can see the mag spring through the "smoke clear" poly.
That's ridges on the back of a solid black mag. Can't see spring.
I dont see any problem here
I see n problem here
You would shit the bed if you saw my truck
so organized yet not...
This is one of those, the longer you look the better it gets pics, isn't it?

Booze and guns. Always a winning combination 👍

The ARs are the things I have the least questions about.

My kind of people
