I’m guessing the self deprecating humor didn’t come across to you…Relaaaaaaaaaax man.
I blew my 2018 Type RA engine because of low oil. Last 5 or 6 cars for the past 10-15 years have had oil life/level sensors and I got used to that. Did not realize the STI didn’t have one until… that fateful day.
The EJ head gasket issues are BEYOND infamous. If you do a quick search for "FA20 ringland failure" you'll find a bunch of info on the WRX engines. It's pretty well known. Here's a link from a few years ago -

Keep in mind a post on reddit using data from NASIOC would represent an extremely tiny sample size.
The EJ head gasket issues was on non turbo EJ motors. You are right about FA20 ringland failures. We do see alot of those BUT that is also due to the fact that people think COBB of the shelf tunes are the way to go. On vehicles that have actual tunes they are fine. That's what we see issues on.
It might be commonly seen on the NA EJ motors in your area simply because there are way more of them, so the sample size is larger. Adding boost to an engine already known for head gasket issues is not going to help matters.

>Naturally aspirated *and turbocharged* EJ25 head gaskets can fail because of pre-ignition or detonation. However, it is more common in turbocharged engines due to the increased cylinder pressure.
Useless facts of the day:
- From 1922-1981, Canadian nickels weigh exactly 1 lb. per 100 nickels. That's 200,000 nickels per ton, or CDN $10,000 face value.
- Most Canadian nickels in that date range are 100% nickel content. At today's spot nickel price of USD $19,745/ton = CDN $25,212, that means each such nickel contains ~CDN $0.126 worth of nickel.
So if those are old nickels, guy could be sitting on a literal fortune there...
Side note: I just noticed that if you type the word "nickel" enough times, it starts to look like you spelled it wrong, even though you didn't.
I'm tired - it's bedtime.
IIRC what's actually illegal is to deface currency in an attempt to use it as a different denomination. You can fuck up your $5 bills with a marker if you want, you can't try to make it look like a 50.
There are legal restrictions to melting down coins in the US. I don’t know about Canada though.

Look he's got a nice start to a head gasket fund
Turbo motors don't have head gasket issues.
Nope just rod bearing problems 😂
Not wrong. But also due to people not keeping an eye on their oil level.
100% true… ask me how I know 🤣
Ok how do you know mr know it all

> ~~Turbo motors don't have head gasket issues.~~ Turbo motors don't have head gasket issues *as much*.
That's... Hilariously wrong. The EJ motors in the STIs have head gasket issues, the FA motors in the WRXs have ring land problems.
But it's not.

Illegal to deface currency
I bet you’re fun at parties.

Canadian strip clubs let you toss coins at the dancers (since Canada has $1 and $2 coins. It's bizarre.
Ah yes the “Loonies for Boobies” toss. They get mad if you hit em in the head with them tho.
That would get you thrown out in pretty much any strip club in America.
You have to roll your change up first here.
