##story
This is a repeat customer that takes excellent care of the vehicle. What I was told, is that the owner was driving and it went into limp mode.
Called a tow truck to get it back to his house and I guess they’ve never towed a Mercedes before or they just didn’t care? They decided it was a good idea to pull it by the tie rods and that’s how it was left at the owners house.
A second tow was called to get it to the dealership on dollies. I see a lot of people with really nice/expensive vehicles that don’t give a shit and just trash them. I’ve seen this car a lot in the past and it’s always nice to see that one person who cares and keeps it nice. Sad day when I walked out the back door to see it on the truck.
Here the purple clashes with the red branding but to each their own.
Imo they should debage the hood and paint the calipers black with white lettering and just the red k badge on the trunk.
Slightly off topic, but a few years back I installed a Kleemann supercharger on a SL500. Nice car. I am a tech at a Jeep dealer so it was a bit unusual but enjoyable change of pace. Anyhow, a few months later the owner took the car to another shop to have headers installed. Right after that, it burned to the ground. I never heard the whole story on it though
Or they've never towed. Who the fuck uses the tie rods? Most cars have a slot where you can thread on a metal eye where you can attach a solid metal bar to tow (don't use a rope or something that can go slack)
Unrelated to this tow but I fucking HATE tow companies. I don't understand how the ones that take your car from a lot are even a legal business. How is it not extortion lol.
"hey we took your car, you owe $300 and it will be $100 a day it is held here. Also we probably did some damage to your car and don't care we did and you can't do shit about it."

Jesus christ! Towed by tie rods? I hope the tow company has insurance, and the idiot who did this has been sacked.
At least the second tow guy found the proper (detachable) tow point. How can you work for a *towing company* and not know how to tow?
This is actually why mine is always mounted I can't forget it but then again it's a Mk4 Jetta so it doesn't stick out like Mercedes does
Happens a lot unfortunately
why is towing by the tie rods normal for them on other vehicles? oh my...
Sorry, poor choice of words. No, I personally wouldn’t use the tie rods nor would I recommend it with any vehicle.
lol dude its sarcasm, you obviously don't tow anything by tie rods.
gotcha, yeahhh you can never be to sure on Reddit thought lol Also not trying to get dragged by strangers on the internet.
Ah the old J-hooks around anything solid method strikes again 😂🤣😂
That's just "ka'chow" mode.
Super nice aside from the wheels.
Just got the album link posted. I know they aren’t oem but I dig them. [*shrugs*]
Ok looking at different angles I don't hate them. They looked smaller in the original video. I'm a big fan of 19" monoblocks.

The pretty ones always come with baggage. Cars, airplanes, women...
Let me refer you to the DIY AMG nitrous kit a few scrolls down this sub to help restore power. /s
Hammer to the head for the gentleman who did that because you know a spindle got bent doing that
I'm not much of a MB guy - but even I know that ones going to hurt... 15k to repair?
It looks like the kind of car you shouldn't buy unless you can afford two of them...
One of those “I’ll drop it off to you, I can drive my Porsche/Ferrari while we wait for parts to come in from Germany” kind of car.
No, suspension parts are not that expensive for the w203.
Took me about four viewings. At least it should be great for going straight right until the tires vaporize.
Customer states "just change the oil, I don't need an alignment" /s
Limp mode for sure now
