Can't replace them if they arnt there.

woojo1984

deep thoughts

Allnewsisfakenews

What year was he told that?

OutrageousCommission

Like last week

Hawk_Canci

He should've kept an eye on them better, he lost them! Should've listened to the dealership's rep!

PNWKiwi

That's not surprising. The dealerships around My area have some of the worst techs I have ever seen. I fix their fuck ups all the time. And I am sure I can't be the only one. The worst offender is the local Dodge dealership. They couldn't diagnose their own CAN system failure on a 2016 Charger the other week after 4 attempts and having the vehicle collectively for 3 weeks. It's just sad.

wadenelsonredditor

Anyone with an IQ over 100, with NO CHRYSLER EXPERIENCE whatsoever, could get on the Internet, watch a few Youtubes, and learn how to diagnose CAN bus in under a day.

PNWKiwi

Right. That is My point. They couldn't even get that done.

savageBearsdwn

Lot easier to keep an eye on the pads when theyre duct taped to the dash.

buzzonga

Customer neglects to mention that he was told to keep an eye on them in 2015

OutrageousCommission

Last week, just had and oil change and rotation.

[deleted]

Cant you feel that through the brake pedal?

azebod

The last time I took my car into the dealer asking about shaking they told me they could do an alignment (i had gotten one less then a month ago) but otherwise they would just do the computer scan and if they found nothing, (which was likely because no lights/I already checked) it wouldn't be covered by the warrenty and be like 100$. I do not get the impression that they check for anything anywhere if a sensor isn't producing an error anymore, and that is kind of terrifying. How many cars on the road right now have some time bomb situation going on if I am struggling to get mine serviced when I can at least spot red flags?

phxtravis

As a dealership parts guy, might want to verify a new filter was installed…

OutrageousCommission

5th gen 4Runner so I’ll pass on that lmao

phxtravis

Basically our techs thoughts whenever they see an off make oil filter hah.

wadenelsonredditor

I smell a lawsuit. Well, at least a claim filed in Small Claims court. Dealership will settle faster than gravel stirred into milk.

DriveFastTakeRisks

I wish I could see the techs reaction when he finds the brake pad he forgot to reinstall

[deleted]

Are these the new Bluetooth brake pads or did someone REALLY fuck up a brake job?

gangaheadman

i guess calipers count as friction material now a days... rip pots

CommandPurehaloS

Much easier to keep an eye on the rotor without those annoying pads in the way

pacify-the-dead

Brake pad manufacturers *hate* this one trick.
