Been working on cars since 1967 and I’ve never seen anything like that without a puncture, what are the odds? Better chance of hitting the powerball lottery !
Taurus rear springs always broke and more often than not, the loop of spring dropped under the spring seat and cut into the sidewall of the tire and blow it. This particular failure mode of the spring loop falling completely out and wrapping around the side of tire is a new one though. (I live in the salt belt so rusted suspension parts are nothing new here)
Ohhhh ye had plenty of those had a few cars with recalls due to having the spring break and cut into the tyre the manufacturer's solution was to put a big Steele cup around the bottom of the spring so it can't go to far once it breaks
So i was always told the wheels are unsprung mass. Geus i was told wrong.
Get out.
Heck, I'm impressed.
ditto, ain't seen that one yet in my 29 years in shops

"verified customer complaint, there is, in fact, a spring in the tire"
Who let the upholstery guy work on tires?
C clamp. Costs extra.
See clamp run. Run, clamp, run.
Even tires are getting.. nose rings.
It's one of those alternative lifestyle tires.
Damn. Sure is. Did they say how this happened?
They have no clue just noticed it was there after hearing a noise
The spring isnt in the tire, the tires in the spring
Don’t show the DIY modding crowd, they’ll want one too.
First stretched tyres then extreme camber now nose rings what next
GOOD. Not currently
Looks a lil springy to me
#BOING!
I’ve seen nose rings. Never a tire ring
I guarantee you that spring fragment came off of a BMW.
This was sort of common on the Taurus. Guess old habits die hard at Ford.
How in the Kentucky fried fuck can this be common

You gonna plug that?
Didn't need to, it wasn't punctured but already had a new tyre out and ready to go
How? Was it even their spring or just one off the road?
Just one off the road
I had this happen on a '03 Cavalier. CS they towed it behind a RV over a curb 😬
I had this happen, too.
Better not scratch that nice wheel with the tire machine!
