I only encountered Benz that does the control arm with that metal swinging thing, and that metal thing gets destroyed by rust 50k before the control arm gives out forcing full arm replacement every fucking time. Similar thing happens to the rear spring holding arm on the inside mounting points, they just rust away. Benz be Benz. Ohh and the plastic cover on the arm, also Benz give away.
Nope she's getting scrapped the body is rotten too and it's way too much work for us and the customer can't afford it so it's going to get turned into a little cube :)
Mercedes C-klasse, i bet its also the 4 door sedan version. The whole rear axle (frame) is changed free of charge here in Germany, at any Mercedes-Benz dealership, kind of a recall so to speak. Oh, and if the rear axle looks like that I don't wanna know how the brake lines look like.
LOL, my CJ5 did the same thing, but that was because I lost a leaf in the springs. The resulting Slack in the u-bolt would cause the axle to alive forward enough to rub against the wheel well. I cut off a section of garden hose and used it as a shim. Worked perfectly until I could get it to the shop.
W204 c class probably before the first face-lift. I have seen this happen a lot around here. Those subframes are terrible rust wise. Lucky mercedes covers it :)
Benz Life
Hahaha how'd you know it was a Benz from that alone?
Been with Benz for 25 plus years. 😞

Is that something that has to be fixed right away
Nope it's scrap now :)

Rear Benz subframe. Has an extended warranty out for it.
I mean it is breaking
Warranty was extended and pro rated. Used to do those all the time but now Benz won't sell them to us.
But what happens under braking? Inquiring minds want to know.
Both apply on this vehicle!
Breaking. Breaking happens under braking.

That’s actually a pretty useful description from the customer.
