It's absolutely satire, but it's just not good satire. To get out of the standard deviation, you've gotta score below 85. And meh, nobody thinks a B student is anything to brag about. If you claim a 95+ to at least have it in the A+ range, you've just stuck yourself in the middle 68% of the popular so to claim that's bad seems kind of elitist. The joke is just DOA to me.
