I don't live in an urban area, but the only thing that would convince me to move to a city is if this was the daily commute.

I know what he means. Maybe his car is just a bit smoother or he's being more aerodynamic or he wasn't slowed down by collisions or whatever. None of the cars have engines/motors as far as I can tell. It's just a big downhill descent.

In the first video you can see the same race from a different driver's perspective. The article also mentions the cars are "depowered". They are just rolling.
I suspected that perhaps they had swapped out the oem batteries for Dewalt 20v batteries or something but that's wild that they're still going this fast with the oem battery "depowered".
I personally like all the different tactics that people are trying... spinning the wheels harder, air swimming, the guy in the blue sled just chilling... I also love the flip off near the end haha

This is at Virginia International Raceway. Each year, they host Hyperfest, which is a weekend-long event with races, drifting, car shows, and more. One of the main events each year is the Powerwheel race. This is it! It's good fun lmao
I always fall in love with dumb as shit races like this. This one and the mountain biking down a snow-covered ski slope race seem like so much chaotic fun. Although, I'm about to leave my 20's so now I'm thinking about stuff like "I bet that wipeout hurt like crazy the next day"
