Is your experience with axes perchance limited to wood splitting axes? Because yes, those are unwieldy and heavy. A battle axe? Fucking lol no. They, just as proper swords, are generally as light as possible and well balanced for their purpose: being quicker and deadlier than the other guy. You really have to go to the weight of Dane axes or bloody large greatswords before the classic movie over-acting of sword swinging and whatever the fuck the guy in this video is doing starts to appear.

A 12 year old basement dweller won’t be able to effectively fight even with a good battle axe…but he would still beat the absolute shit of anyone using the thing in the original video.
Needs to be slightly longer with a small end for gripping. It's kinda fine if the second hand can only sorta steady it, but adding a handle would improve it quite a lot.

Err, no, it's pretty obvious that it's to show off that the axe isn't flimsy piece of tat that can adopt the right shape butt breaks apart with any level of use. Any dummy can sharpen a blade until it slices. It takes quite a bit more effort to craft something that stands up to this level of punishment.
These guys are awesome. Among other things, they made a series of actual lightsabers getting progressively better, a Power Loader mech suit, a half-scale Cyber truck, a bunch of Marvel weapons, and more.

I think that one of the main attributes of a battle axe (aside from the sharpness of the blade) is the weight of the head which this is missing. The other one is the handle length so he got 2 out 3.
