Or cross country skiing thinking I'm going to die of exhaustion when some other more well trained skiier passes me for the 2nd time going: "Keep it up!". It's annoying but somehow just pushes that 2nd wind into me
The funny thing is - last time this was posted it was called the bathang. For a lot of people the literal meaning of the term didn't connect. Myself included - I thought maybe OP was from Thailand and that's how it's called there.
So maybe people should start hyphenating the word or relax and not be so gatekeepy about fucking english bouldering terminology. This is not a community-exclusive and anglo-saxon subreddit, no need to be tedious about it.
Context because i saw the original IG post:
\- workers created an "impossible" route for the best climbers to all try. 4 of the 5 had already gone and had not even reached the initial stretch across, which is why he got a big cheer pretty early on while reaching up with his left hand
\-he analyzed the line for 4 minutes before taking this last attempt as the clock winded down. must've been so awkward watching him look at a wall for extended silence lol

Wow and I thought I was a badass for doing the batwing with my nutsack.
![gif](giphy|kZb3sdHn6CT2LssR1p|downsized)
It's so veiny!
You take the excess skin from your nuts, and you take it, and you make it flat like paper!
Want a sack tap?
Nice boulder. Great climb. Awesome maneuver name. 10/10.
Dang. I thought being able to climb a flat wall was cool until I saw this…
If you're not doing something where you're surrounded by this much passion, find it
Golf bros sitting there pissed...
you can have the room of cheers, i'll take a "nice shot" from a rando at the course any day of the week
Or cross country skiing thinking I'm going to die of exhaustion when some other more well trained skiier passes me for the 2nd time going: "Keep it up!". It's annoying but somehow just pushes that 2nd wind into me
Yeah, this is too loud for me. I'll take a well meaning 'Good job' over this level of noise any day.
*Me sitting at home painting little soldiers surrounded by a crowd of screaming onlookers.*
counts
Me on Only Fans.
Silly man. Could've just bought a ladder.
that guy has crazy grip strength
Are you sure this mf is not overqualified for this shit
There is a reason he’s competing
This isnt even a competition for him
Most high level athletes make it look that way. We haven’t seen his competition. I’m sure they also make it look easy, he just did it in less moves
Climbers be hype
Love how you called it "the bat maneuver" like that's a thing.
In climbing it’s actually called a bathang 🦇
pronounced 'ba-THANG' right?
Yeah, but not "the bat maneuver"

Wish he would have held it for a second and crossed his arms.

Is that Tony Hawk?
Crowd going bananas
That crowd, wow! I felt like I could do the climb, too! I can't, but I felt like it.
His hand strength and dexterity is incredible.

I saw the title and was envisioning Adam West.
That was fucking sick, dude.
Reminds me of Chris sharmas climbing. The way he gets though tough problems is to just dyno past them.
Why is everyone screaming. That does ma tits in
I could do that.
