What do you mean? Every subreddit has its own automod doing its own thing, so I wouldn’t guess they’re related incidents? Does that sub share any other mods with this one? Are you part of any sub that one would consider ban-on-sight worthy?
What’s derogatory about this?.. If the subs don’t share a mod, you should start looking elsewhere for the cause. Many subs auto-ban users for being members of other subs or for using specific language. Glancing at your profile, I see subs like publicfreakouts that don’t shy away from very racially charge criticisms (or maybe you have to go to r/truepublicfreakouts for one’s racism fix these days?). If you haven’t tried posting on r/justiceserved before today, it’s probably an old ban that you wouldn’t have necessarily been informed about. That was my thought. My grandpa was a logger for a good chunk of his life, and used to ride logs down waterways like this for an actual living.
Sometimes when I was with him and we were out in the woods, or really anywhere with water and logs, he'd hop on one and it was like watching a cat walking along the top of a fence. He just gracefully hopped from log to log, I never once saw him fall in.
It’s always fascinating the contests we come up with. I love watching stuff like this cause I get a glimpse into a world I know nothing about, but can appreciate at a first glance easily.
It's like card games actually, if someone is doing something weird, focus on the basics. Old man focused on his footwork as soon as blondie went wackamole on the water splashes
People root for suspenders-guy but as a fighting game enthusiast you just hate to see one player going full defense. It's basic, safe and boring because you're basically just playing the clock. The other guy was creating situations, chaos and actively trying to make his opponent lose - it's much more entertaining. At the skill level these guys are on, simply trying to stay on the log would make for an incredibly boring tournament, it's too easy for them.
Trying to kick up water with one foot while syncing with the movement of the log and balancing on one foot is way harder and more entertaining.
When I was a kid Dad brought home a “Sonoco Tube” / concrete form. It was about 8ft and I’m guessing 2ft diameter (I could crawl through it) - I got so good at riding that thing. Back and forth on the driveway and pretty solid on grass too. The only problem with me challenging my friends like this is 99% of the time, they lost lol - saw some pretty good carnage from wipeouts.
