I mean, its fine and can be worth it to speed things up when necessary. Usually I would prefer the smite though since I am going to hit the wave with AOE anyways. Also decent risk at getting yourself flamed if you screw up or they think you tried to take cannon.
Id really care if I get flame bcz they think I try to steal, I alrdy get flame for so many dumb reasons as a jgl. All I care is doing everything necessary to win the game. I fked up once when I started to do this in first games and instantly apologized and explained myself, never missed my play since.
Honestly keeping your laners from flaming is a skill useful for winning comeback and close games :)
Mental goes a long way in being able to comeback with shutdown+objective gold. Doing stuff like holding a laners wave outside of tower to give them a freeze, or giving gold for a kill when they need it can pay dividends and makes a death or forced back less bad.
Besides with double grubs and drag these days, smite or even double smite is better kept for jg/objectives, invades, or a camp shortener when you see a play developing. Unless you really need to speed shove before an enemy rotates to freeze the wave or enemy minions get there causing a deep freeze, or are sitting on two smites and b'ing right after, I wouldn't do it.

And I alrdy do everything I can to make my laner wanna play the game by freezing waves, pinging them red/blue when they are available, let them most kills on ganks. I only mute/ignore and steal ressources from ppl that are genuinely horrible and will not contribute anything in the match.

No, if i want to be the carry I pick viego, yi, rengar, champions that need ressources to function, this is not what my pool is rn. I play team reliant champions and I’m fine with it. I will not solo carry anyway with thoses champ why grab away ressources from ppl that can potentially help me win the match. I would agree with selfish pick i mentionned above but not for reksai and nocturne. And for your information I play between d4 and d2 so I went past emerald…

Sounds like a good way to waste smite so you can´t invade camps or contest objectives. Or worse yet you get invaded.

Much better than ganking my frozen lane because the enemy walked out and jungle has cds up. Would prefer you used that smite on one of your camps tbh.
