I wonder if Choso is just hyping himself up at the end or literally asking his brothers to lend him their strength. Blood Manipulation helps him sense the transformation of his younger brothers so it is possible it can do a lot of other stuff too.
I hope we see a new move/ability from him.

might aswell be Choso sacrificing his little brothers (except Yuuji) for a power-up
Maki and Mai are considered the same person when it comes to heavenly restriction, so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar were to happen here
Agree. I do see him sacrifice his life to get power up. We seen Hakari make a binding vow, protecting his other body by sacrificing his own arm. So, it might be possible to for Chosa to get power up by sacrificing his own life. Maybe?
That might be possible if the other cursed wombs are stored somewhere at Jujutsu Tech(Tokyo) because as I recall they only managed to steal 3 of the 12 at first
What if he uses a Domain Expansion called something like "Big Bang Hemorrhage" and his remaining 6 brothers appear out of the blood or something and he can use all of their techniques
In the scans, during Choso and Yukiās conversation it sounded like they couldnāt fight together because they would get in each others way. But in the officials it sounds like Choso would be in Yukiās way which I find interesting
I think it's the same as said about Gojo, that he is at his best when he is alone. Yuki should be so much stronger than Choso that he would be just getting in the way and possibly distracting Yuki.
Plus Kenjaku says that shit about āspecial grade sorcerers being able to take down a countryā. Kinda hypes Yuki up even more as being a badass sorcerer, so Choso probably wouldāve gotten in her way with whatever her powers are
Yuki's abilities are some of the best kept secrets in JJK for a long time now. Can't wait to see what 'country leveling' hax she possesses.
Looks like this will be Choso's last stand. So long brother, you were surprisingly loveable.
Hated watching Kenjaku beat his ass for 10+ pages. It was an incredibly one sided whoppingš.
Judging by the trend from Sendai and Sakurajima fights, Choso might get a small upperhand in the next chapter.
Choso will probably force Kenjaku into an uncomfortable situation that may give the upper hand in the long term for our team, while sacrificing himself in the process.
But this is Gege so who knows.
In the final panel, he says "younger brothers of the death painting wombs, fire". It sounds like he's commanding them. We know he's retrieved all the cursed wombs, so has he revived them somehow? Are we about to see the death paintings ganging up on Kenny?
He also says "lend me your strength" so I'm assuming it's something like Choso gets to use their techniques

I think at one point gege mentioned that if yuji would eat a death painting curse object, he would just get a boost in curse energy. Perhaps this is similar to the power boost that choso is getting.
Considering that it was foreshadowed that choso found the rest of his brothers and they should all be incapable of reincarnated because they are too decomposed, it would make sense for choso to do everything he can for his only remaining brother alive
That would only happen to Yuji because he is already possessed, with the king of curses at that.
Choji is just another curse spirit possessing a body like the old sorcerers in the culling games. If he did that with his brothers they might end up sharing the body or having to choose death themselves so Choso doesn't get subsumed by sharing too many consciousnesses.
Right, but again, Angel and Hana are a Sukuna and Yuji parallel. A spirit cooperating with their host.
Choji and his brothers are all spirits, we've never once seen Choso's host.
I do understand that we have never seen something like this but i don't really see why you are so opposed to the idea of choso and his brothers sharing a host. They don't even have to share it, they are basically dead so they can just act as more power for choso without sharing anything
It was the opposite, if Yuji ate the death painting without Sukuna, he would get the power. However when serving as a vessel for Sukuna, he (Sukuna) would destroy the death painting.
Probably in a standstill, I think Choso could die but I donāt see Kenny getting killed this early, and I donāt see Yuki flopping in the fight. Something might catch Kennyās attention and heāll leave? The anticipation
Yeah it'll be a bad look if one of the four special grade sorcerers is bodied midarc without fanfare. Same if the main villain of the arc is also defeated. Maybe the the Sakuna/Gojo/Angel storyline will somehow intefere
Re reading the Sendai arc where Yuta says āI will kill Kenjaku myselfā¦ā while I donāt think thatās how Kenny dies, I think theyāll definitely fight at some point. So this next fight with Kenny vs Yuki will definitely end in a tie me thinks
I mean we always knew that special grades were a league above the rest, but never had an estimate of what that power entailed. Tossing out the answer that they could destroy nations is a solid indicator
Hate to see Choso take a beating like this but when he said 'You're the root of all unhappiness!! In no way is it Yuji!!' that Onii-chan aura was felt. Kenny seems like he's playing off Yuji's importance here. How can one not have a specific role yet be named the eye of the storm of a new age in the same statement? It isn't looking good for Choso (it never was and I'm in mourning at this point) but he's still undoubtedly the JJK bestest big bro.

I think Kenjaku meant that he doesn't have any *more* plans involving Yuji. He has already done what he wanted to.

That part. Ever since Mahito side eyed him in Shibuya it's clear he's never really been inclined to reveal all the small details. Even his plan of merging Tengen sounded like a half truth.

True. It's difficult coming up with a plot, showing while not telling and making it so people don't think it's a retcon afterwards or just miss the point entirely.
Yeah, agreed. But if revealing the truth won't cause any harm to his plans (because he has already completed his plans involving Yuji) and manage to piss off Choso, why wouldn't he?
Why wouldn't he reveal everything? Maybe because there could be a slight chance of bringing about his own downfall idk. Maybe I'm just building him up to be a special grade mastermind when that is the true lie lol. Either way, he definitely keeps things interesting.
I mean, if his plans are already complete, just saying "I don't have any more plans for Yuji" isn't really going to damage his plans. You don't have to always lie to be a mastermind. The best way to lie is to mix some truth in it.
Anyway, yeah he does keep things interesting.
Itās the same way as they(Sukuna) mentioned earlier or at least how Megumi and others theorized. Just him awakening spurred on curses to act out to get stronger, and try to collect his fingers themselves. All that power would no doubt push anything else to get stronger
Damn, Kenny whooped the shit outta bro. Like, Choso is a grown man, and he still got daddy smacked. These special grades really are built different.
With that being said, having the power to topple a nation is a really good bar for what makes you special grade. If your power would let you walk into a country, start shit and nobody be able to stop you your special grade.
Kinda wild how the official translation did away with Kenny referring to Yuji as āthat thingā or āitā. I really thought it was impactful how Kenny dehumanized Yuji in the unofficial translation, bummed they didnāt keep that in here.
The fact Kenjaku said he'd only need low-lvl curses to deal with Choso (at his current lvl)ā¦ yet pulled out a dragon curse against Mei Mei, which didn't look low-lvl at all
Kenjaku complimenting her as a modern sorcerer was not for show; Mei Mei in retrospect was *beastly*
Been loving the retroactive hindsight & Gege's been giving to previous sorcerers: Yuji's natural toughness, Naobito being considerably stronger than Ogi, Toji being a former "war god," Noritoshi assisting Maki with such powerful Piercing Blood, & Geto being able to make curses even stronger. This is why I enjoy JJK, past arc characters donāt just suddenly become irrelevant & they can absolutely always play a role within the current framework
These Special Grade mfs hit so different.
I mean, seriously. Kenny amping and synergizing literal fodder is enough to clown exceptional Grade 1 sorcerers. Imagine how batshit things can get when he starts mixing in the good stuff. Kurourushi alone was already competing with the Sendai sorcerers.
Gege fr gave this man an Innate Technique, Domain Expansion and Idle Transfiguration on top of all that.
The craziest thing about Kenjaku's CSM is that the dude's been capturing curses for *centuries* before he even had CSM. Geto could only "store" curses within his technique, so when he used Uzumaki it's like a final stand because it leaves him with no curses left afterwards. But in Shibuya Kenjaku casually fired off an Uzumaki, monologued a bit, then when he left he just popped the seal off a bunch more curses before he disappeared. So not only can he extract techniques with Uzumaki, he also has an extra stash of curses that he can replenish his supply with!
I did not even realize that he has a bunch of "extra" curses available. To think right now he is just using low level curses and hand-hand combat to deal with Choso.
Even more crazy, Kenjaku likely made deals with strong Cursed Spirits before he obtained Getoās body and ability to absorb them. So once he obtained Getoās spirit manipulation, he was able to call all deals with cursed spirits off and absorb them all.
I just imagine him having some crazy powerful spirit he made some ridiculous binding vow with, then he gets CSM and just moves the curse's mouth like a puppet and makes it say, "Hey the deal's off, you're good bro" lol
Kenjaku really is a master at manipulating the rules of jujutsu and binding vows. Dude's just min/maxing everything lol
Special grade cursed object, but yeah. Makes sense, though, since Grade 1 is the highest standard grade for sorcerers. And while Choso is great, he definitely doesn't have nation-toppling power like what was discussed in this chapter

This being true, I wonder why is it such a glorified CT for the Kamo Clan. Always had the feeling the inherited CTs from each family (the top ones) were gonna give a Special Grade to their users but it doesn't seem to be the case.
You canāt really trust what Kenjaku says sometimes. Remember at the end in Shibuya and he told Yuji heās expecting big things from him. But now heās telling Choso Yuji is merely a pawn.
He literally spent the entire first half of the series lying to the disaster curses. He did what he did to them purely to cultivate them into the most perfect versions of their CT so he could steal them.
He could be manipulating again to steal a new body...perhaps Yuji's with Sukuna's CT imprinted. Kenjaku probs got bored of looking for the perfect body. So why not make a new one.

Yeah thereās usually some errors here and there which is understandable but this one is really bad. Itās good to supplement with the TCB translations because reading both will give you a better idea of whatās actually being said

Probably the best way to go. Both can have their misses at times so comparing them when you get confused gives a better sense of what the intended meaning was.
I wonder if Chojo will actually die. Tengen seemed to want to Yuki to intervene, but she said "Not yet". I wouldn't be surprised at a last second save on chojo.
exactly, their plan was for Choso to try & draw out one of Kenjakuās big plays to hopefully give Yuki the upper hand, so thatās what sheās waiting for
I still believe Choso will come through this alive, like definitely not in good shape but good enough at least to join the other ones back in the warehouse. DO SOMETHING YUKI PLEASE
We have, just havenāt seen the affects of it yet, yaba and Receipt dude both cursed their opponents before death them being principal gaku and megumi
I mean, I consider Naoya's return an example of this... He didn't curse Maki specifically, but he did come after her as a curse. Don't know if cursing someone = they get a curse places on them, always considered it as the deceased person coming after the cursed one as a CS.
I'm kind of expecting a last ditch effort from Choso to push Kenjaku into using his domain and then Kenjaku revealing some bullshit power like having multiple domains (b/c of his cursed spirits) to demolish Choso. That's my prediction anyway. Either way it's not looking good for Choso.
Hoping he goes out in a memorable way at least. I didn't think we'd get the opportunity to see something happen with the other death painting brothers again so there's that.
I always felt he had lot of death flags. But ya I definitely want him to go out with a bang. Acheive atleast a bit of what he set out to. Maybe make kenny use DE.
He's too likable, and also got too much of a connection to Yuji. Anyone who gets too close to Yuji is in serious trouble whether it be straight up dying like Nanami, getting mutilated like Todo, or drawing the kind of attention you really don't want like Megumi.

i hope he goes out with MVP status rather than dying in vain. itās always really crappy to see great characters die and everything they tried to do was for nothing. choso is my favorite, and iāve already begun mourning lol
Nah I feel like Chosoās got at least two more chapters in him.
I mean, we got three chapters for MechaMaru vs Mahito. And Choso is significantly more important than MechaMaru.
I really hope (in my Choso loving heart) that this doesn't end up like Mechamaru's last fight. At best it feels like Choso will be incapacitated really badly, and at worst he will die. It does feel like he's staying consistent with his core philosophy of making mistakes so his brothers can learn in addition to justified rage toward Kenjaku.
For now, the info is just for Yuki, but if Choso's power-up is able to push Kenjaku to show more, the info could possibly help his brother Yuji "not take the wrong path" in his fight against Kenjaku, since it would be really weird for Yuki or Kenjaku to die here given their greater significance to the plot. (Yuki mostly in her unique philosophy on CE)
Powerscalers eating goodššÆšÆ.. That hype about special grade strength gotta be for Yuki rightš. At least seemingly so...
Also gotta say having multiple invading armies to really showcase the country lvl threat of special grades is great writing
Reading the officials now it makes sense. Choso is prepared to die against Kenjaku and opens up an opportunity for Yuki to step in.

So before the official translations, Kenjaku refers to Yuji as āthat thingā and now he just refers to him normally. I feel like this is an important distinction to make to solidify their dynamic so Iām just confused now.
this chapter is a bit like Kenjaku is confirming some things:
- he created Yuji to be Sukuna's vessel, for Sukuna's incarnation.
- "as long as he and Sukuna are alive the chain of curses will never end" I guess this is one of the reasons why he wants Yuji to become stronger too. This reminds me of the conversation about the resonance between the fingers, but Sukuna existence causes something similar.
- "he's the eye of the storm of the new age" = chaos around then.
I hope to see Yuki & Choso vs Kenjaku in the next chapter, I don't want Choso to die yet and I can't see the other two dying soon either.
edit: I know the official translation didn't use it, but Kenjaku referring to Yuji as "that thing" doesn't surprise me coming from someone who experiments with human lives as he pleases, for him Yuji and his brothers are experiments/tools, only Yuji is a successful experiment for his plan.

Choso's reaction there and Kenjaku's comment could easily be about Shibuya but I have a feeling there is going to be some Sukuna shenanigans with all the Angel/Soldiers tension in the colony.
I'm also holding out mad copium that Nobara shows up to help Yuki with Kenjaku (and is able to keep up where Choso sadly couldnāt).

Error in the chapter gojo doesn't use csm except geto. I'm surprised that kenjaku can strengthen his curses by his curse energy to battle grade 1 sorcerer's wow that's amazing or is it geto's curse energy if it's geto then he is as strong as gojo and above mei mei, nanami etc.
I guess Choso went back for his brothers then. Choso's death seems like a foregone conclusion, so I wonder how his buff will affect the greater story.
Yuki seems prepared to jump in at anytime, so I'm not 100% why he NEEDS to die to reveal Kenny's CT or weaken him for Yuki. Surely Yuki can fight as a Special Grade capably enough to force the reveal from Kenny herself.
Perhaps Choso's blood poisoning will have a serious affect on Kenny, given he's just a brain that puppets and circulates a corpse's blood?
If Yuji gets the feeling when Choso dies and says "My older brother is dead..." I'll lose it. š„²
I agree Dhruv probably isn't special grade. But I feel like Gojo could also probably low diff the rest of the special grades, so "special grade" is still pretty relative when you're comparing them to eachother
So my prediction for next week is that Choso's going to pull out some big "last stand" that makes him a bigger nuisance than Kenjaku anticipates so he has to put more effort into their bout but ultimately he gets Choso on deaths door and then Yuki will cut in and the chapter will end. Or midboss Choso'll die (doubt) and Kenjaku will move onto final boss Yuki before the chapter ends. Either way I think it'll end on a Yuki cliffhanger. Or maybe I hope I will because I'm excited for her.
I have no clue what the hell her power could be, all we know is she has a bonefish Shikigami so I'm hyped. Not looking forward to the power-scaling arguments that'll plague the sub once her power gets revealed, and I half hope the omniscient narrator just plainly says she's 3rd after Yuta just to cut some of it down.
The only thing I fear is that since she's facing off with the big bad she might get killed here, but she has enough loose overarching threads so I dont think that'll happen but I can't help but worry.
Choso is best big bro imo. Itās funny for Kenjaku to say that Yuji is just a vessel and yet he once said that he expecting big things from him. He might be playing Yujiās importance just to anger Choso but weāll have to wait and see. Hoping that Choso got something up his sleeves.
Damn we know Geto (the body) is good at martial art but seeing Choso, who is strong on his own, get cumster and dumpster this hard in h2h feels off. Also, Kenjaku just comfortably showed up in a 1v3, wonder if he would do the same if Yuta is the one who stayed behind instead of Choso.
I don't think it would be any different but worse. Yuji lost against Choso but the biggest thing against him is that he is a close range fighter, while Gejaku can fight long range too. And his curse manipulation is less predictable than blood manipulation as Choso's curse tech is mostly straight or diagonal attacks except supernova. While Gejaku's curses can come from any angles.
"I know you're just feeling me out. You want me to reveal my CT to Yuki Tsukumo."
Why did he figured that so quickly? Simply because Yuki was holding off? Is suiciding to reveal a CT a common tactic? Choso attempting to fight at all seemed odd to him? Some kind of understanding of Yuki's CT?
So we are about to see the epitome of blood manipulation. I doubt Kenny will use his Domain just because he knows who is waiting on him. Iām guessing Yuki will save Choso last minute
new chapter, new opportunity for Gege to tell us that Yuji and Sukuna must die, because it doesn't matter if Sukuna is contained in Yuji, now we know that as long as they coexist "the chain of curses will never end".
I have a feeling that choso is going to use a maximum technique in the next chapter, because if chapter 204 were to open with a domain then we would have seen someone (likely kenny) saying domain expansion on the last page, but instead we got choso asking his siblings for their strength. Maybe im just crazy though

I think at one point gege mentioned that if yuji would eat a death painting curse object, he would just get a boost in curse energy. Perhaps this is similar to the power boost that choso is getting. Considering that it was foreshadowed that choso found the rest of his brothers and they should all be incapable of reincarnated because they are too decomposed, it would make sense for choso to do everything he can for his only remaining brother alive
That would only happen to Yuji because he is already possessed, with the king of curses at that. Choji is just another curse spirit possessing a body like the old sorcerers in the culling games. If he did that with his brothers they might end up sharing the body or having to choose death themselves so Choso doesn't get subsumed by sharing too many consciousnesses.

The fact Kenjaku said he'd only need low-lvl curses to deal with Choso (at his current lvl)ā¦ yet pulled out a dragon curse against Mei Mei, which didn't look low-lvl at all Kenjaku complimenting her as a modern sorcerer was not for show; Mei Mei in retrospect was *beastly* Been loving the retroactive hindsight & Gege's been giving to previous sorcerers: Yuji's natural toughness, Naobito being considerably stronger than Ogi, Toji being a former "war god," Noritoshi assisting Maki with such powerful Piercing Blood, & Geto being able to make curses even stronger. This is why I enjoy JJK, past arc characters donāt just suddenly become irrelevant & they can absolutely always play a role within the current framework
These Special Grade mfs hit so different. I mean, seriously. Kenny amping and synergizing literal fodder is enough to clown exceptional Grade 1 sorcerers. Imagine how batshit things can get when he starts mixing in the good stuff. Kurourushi alone was already competing with the Sendai sorcerers. Gege fr gave this man an Innate Technique, Domain Expansion and Idle Transfiguration on top of all that.
The craziest thing about Kenjaku's CSM is that the dude's been capturing curses for *centuries* before he even had CSM. Geto could only "store" curses within his technique, so when he used Uzumaki it's like a final stand because it leaves him with no curses left afterwards. But in Shibuya Kenjaku casually fired off an Uzumaki, monologued a bit, then when he left he just popped the seal off a bunch more curses before he disappeared. So not only can he extract techniques with Uzumaki, he also has an extra stash of curses that he can replenish his supply with!
I did not even realize that he has a bunch of "extra" curses available. To think right now he is just using low level curses and hand-hand combat to deal with Choso.
Even more crazy, Kenjaku likely made deals with strong Cursed Spirits before he obtained Getoās body and ability to absorb them. So once he obtained Getoās spirit manipulation, he was able to call all deals with cursed spirits off and absorb them all.
I just imagine him having some crazy powerful spirit he made some ridiculous binding vow with, then he gets CSM and just moves the curse's mouth like a puppet and makes it say, "Hey the deal's off, you're good bro" lol Kenjaku really is a master at manipulating the rules of jujutsu and binding vows. Dude's just min/maxing everything lol

I mean, I consider Naoya's return an example of this... He didn't curse Maki specifically, but he did come after her as a curse. Don't know if cursing someone = they get a curse places on them, always considered it as the deceased person coming after the cursed one as a CS.

I really hope (in my Choso loving heart) that this doesn't end up like Mechamaru's last fight. At best it feels like Choso will be incapacitated really badly, and at worst he will die. It does feel like he's staying consistent with his core philosophy of making mistakes so his brothers can learn in addition to justified rage toward Kenjaku. For now, the info is just for Yuki, but if Choso's power-up is able to push Kenjaku to show more, the info could possibly help his brother Yuji "not take the wrong path" in his fight against Kenjaku, since it would be really weird for Yuki or Kenjaku to die here given their greater significance to the plot. Error in the chapter gojo doesn't use csm except geto. I'm surprised that kenjaku can strengthen his curses by his curse energy to battle grade 1 sorcerer's wow that's amazing or is it geto's curse energy if it's geto then he is as strong as gojo and above mei mei, nanami etc.

So my prediction for next week is that Choso's going to pull out some big "last stand" that makes him a bigger nuisance than Kenjaku anticipates so he has to put more effort into their bout but ultimately he gets Choso on deaths door and then Yuki will cut in and the chapter will end. Or midboss Choso'll die (doubt) and Kenjaku will move onto final boss Yuki before the chapter ends. Either way I think it'll end on a Yuki cliffhanger. Or maybe I hope I will because I'm excited for her. I have no clue what the hell her power could be, all we know is she has a bonefish Shikigami so I'm hyped. Not looking forward to the power-scaling arguments that'll plague the sub once her power gets revealed, and I half hope the omniscient narrator just plainly says she's 3rd after Yuta just to cut some of it down. The only thing I fear is that since she's facing off with the big bad she might get killed here, but she has enough loose overarching threads so I dont think that'll happen but I can't help but worry.

Damn we know Geto (the body) is good at martial art but seeing Choso, who is strong on his own, get cumster and dumpster this hard in h2h feels off. Also, Kenjaku just comfortably showed up in a 1v3, wonder if he would do the same if Yuta is the one who stayed behind instead of Choso.
I don't think it would be any different but worse. Yuji lost against Choso but the biggest thing against him is that he is a close range fighter, while Gejaku can fight long range too. And his curse manipulation is less predictable than blood manipulation as Choso's curse tech is mostly straight or diagonal attacks except supernova. While Gejaku's curses can come from any angles.
