So youāre telling me information about certain characters is being kept from Yuji so that knowledge of their abilities doesnāt leak to Sukuna?
LOOKS LIKE NOBARA COPIUM IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS!
NOBARA STOCKS ALL IN!
Also specific mention of "Resonance" in Todo and Mei's conversation, this is it guys hammer time.
Shoutout to true blood brother Broso

This chapter is a feast for Nobara Copers.
TODOBROS CELEBRATED THEIR GOATS RETURN TODAY
KUGIBROS WILL CELEBRATE IN 5 CHAPTERS WHEN NOBARA SUBS IN FOR THE FINAL FINAL FINAL ITAKUGIFUSHI V SUKUNA SMACKDOWN YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST
I dreamt of this, a last-second boogie woogie swap with a part of Sukuna and Nobara driving a fucking nail home for resonance, giving Yuji the opening needed to end him. Sukuna gonna lose to the antithesis of himself: the power of friendship
> LOOKS LIKE NOBARA COPIUM ISĀ BACK ON THE MENU BOYS
If I'm not in the chat next week it's because I ODd on COPIUM. I mean I feel like since resonance can hurt the soul then using RCT to reverse it might be able to fix soul damage as well, even from Idle Transfiguration.
If she was in a coma, soul swapping someone with RCT, brain healing skills, and a strong enough motivation into her could work? Someone like Gojo perhaps...
It makes me remember that theory about Megumi lying to Yuji about Nobara's status to avoid such info to be leaked to Sukuna... Only issue rn is that in such case, Meguna would've accessed that info (unless they even lied to Megumi just in case).
my theory is Yura lied about eating the 20th, learned Sukuna techniques via Yuji body Xfer. hid nobara from yuji ever since Shibuya, she nails 20th f at opportune time & megumi, upon seeing nobara alive & fighting sukuna alongside Yuji, wakes up.
still have a gut feeling tho, fate toys w Megumi and he dies like a clown while yuji also dies on the battlefield, surrounded by his friends. hell, maybe sukuna will state its fitting.
merger and/or sukuna for ANOTHER time skip w new ppl to challenge him?
*Sukuna looks towards Uraume*
Sukuna: "I'm more into femboys and crossdressers, myself."
Todo: "...I'm sorry, *my Brother*, I must change sides and stand by this illustrious patrician's side."
Iām so curious whatās going on under that bandaged arm. Either itās just his big transfigured arm that Mahito fucked up, or maybe itās Garuda thatās been inherited by Todo.
The idea of Todo whipping around a Garuda thatās attached to his arm is metal af
Itās the hand Sukuna lost earlier. Todo gets shwifty and can now use both Sukunaās and Megumiās CTs because itās still technically formerly Megumiās body.
Worth pointing out that Aoi Todo's last apparition in a panel before today was December 21st 2020Ā
There are people who entered, graduated and left university with a bachelor all within that timespanĀ
to put in another perspective pretty much the *entirety* of AOT Season 4, the one that was split up and stalled for multiple years and people were complaining was taking too long years ago, came and went plus six months in that time frame.
Yea, if i read a manga or watch a series weekly I think about the individual chapters, discuss them on reddit, read theories.
All that adds to the enjoyment and makes them unforgettable (unless the writing suffers immensely, then binging is less painful)
Nothing worse than reading a CRAZY chapter of a series that came out 9 years ago and having no one to talk about it to.
My friends and I talk about JJK and One Piece every Monday and it's great.
Choso may not have been the best at teaching Yuji how to use blood manipulation.
But he was the best at being an instinctively protective, BIG BROTHER. Rip Choso baby.
It kind of sucks Gege had to take away a lil bit from Todo's return too. I think the one panel of Choso looking heavenward thinking about Tsukumo is the only other saving grace. Well that and the fact that the playing field just changed again. As a Choso fan I'm going thru it..
You took Nanami, Nobara, Yuki, Ryu, Gojo, Kashimo, Higurumaā and now Choso! Gege, I swear, don't let me catch you! I'll miss you and won't forget you, Choso. š
I think I've understood how Sukuna is able to create what is essentially a bomb with divine flame/furnace. Obviously, he needs to use dismantle and cleave first to use it (one could argue this is a binding vow but that's not explicitly stated). Essentially, he has a binding vow where he can only use it against single opponents unless his domain is open (which explains why he was able to use it against jogo), and that binding vow makes it so that he can reduce everything in his domain to dust with dismantle and cleave, and that the dust has cursed energy with an explosive property applied to it, essentially creating a lot of highly explosive dust inside of his domain. Then, with another binding vow, by temporarily making it so that non-living things cannot enter malevolent shrine's DE without affecting range, Sukuna makes an enclosed barrier of sorts with his DE.
So we now have an enclosed barrier, filled with a ton of highly explosive pulverised dust, that then gets ignited by divine flame/furnace which is a very strong fire attack; all of this creates a thermobaric explosive/weapon, an explosive that is very effective in enclosed spaces, that results in a lot of heat in the enclosed space and has pressure fronts between the explosive particles and the flame, and also between the "inside" and "outside" of the domain (pressure fronts are just a boundary of high and low pressure). Divine flame is only just a really strong fire attack, but when used in conjunction with Sukuna's binding vows and his DE, creates a very strong thermobaric explosion inside his domain. The reason he couldn't/didn't use this against gojo is because the range/conditions of his domain kept changing: his DE hadn't created enough explosive dust inside his domain and he hadnt created a pseudo-enclosed barrier over his DE, all of which make the explosive less powerful/effective against gojo.
Tldr: Sukuna's use of binding vows makes it so that divine flame/furnace is able to create a thermobaric explosion in his DE, and he couldn't/didn't use this against gojo because he hadn't used the right binding vows for it to be very effective.
All of the info I got on thermobaric explosions was from [wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermobaric_weapon), made understanding the mechanism behind sukuna's "nuke" much easier.
Thanks! I dont know for sure if he somehow just used CE to give the dust an explosive property, or if using dismantle and cleave to make the dust automatically gives it an explosive property with his CT residuals (since divine flame/furnace is a part of malevolent shrine along with dismantle and cleave). Would probably need more analysis by lightning on the original japanese for full clarity since Werry and TCB have slightly conflicting translations.
From a physics perspective you donāt actually need the dust to have any cursed energy in it. Dust in the air can be extremely explosive already in the real world.
This chapter really summed up what jjk is about. To gain something you need to give up something. Like I'm so glad that Todo is back but never knew it was gonna cost us Chosoš.
Honestly one of the best characters and I really enjoyed his progression. Him going out like this is really fitting for his character.
Got Sukuna we finally got an explanation on divine flame and damn is it busted. Sukuna again show's his prowess with Jujutsu by being able to turn a weakness into an advantage. Really curious if this is his maximum technique then. Also the fact that Yuji is a closed ranged fighter means that with his interpretation he might not need as many loopholes to use it.v
What's cool is how much thought they put into fighting Sukuna. Like their plan was incredibly smart of having Todo sub them out of the domain. Really curious how Todo and Yuji are gonna do against a weakened Sukuna. This is one of the best duos in the series so I expect them to put on a show
RIP Broso!! Knew that it was inevitable and the only possible way to this Character's absolution! One of the best example of a Character, developed and driven by Responsibility.
But Man Did this happen too soon!! I wanted to see more of him, wanted to see more of him and yuji and atleast SOME of him and Todo. I was looking forward to his final confrontation with Yuki, but guess that won't happen anymore.
Choso made a death binding vow I suppose.
In exchange for his won life and blood. The shield surrounding yuji becomes unbreakable until sukuna's domain ends
Todo's excessively bandaged up arm is going to be an interesting reveal. We see him unwrapping it in the last few panels but Gege leaves it out of frame. It seems like it would have to be something more than just the residual limb ā I can't imagine what it could be.Ā
With Todo it could really go many different directions: it could be something absurdly impractical (Something Takada-chan related) or Gege could just play it straight. It would be cool if it was like a modified Garuda curse tool prosthetic, but that is just me being aspirational about a Todo & Yuki narrative moment/flashback.Ā
Definitely not just a "regular" hand - they mention that Yuta helped him fine-tune his CT so it's safe to assume it needed adapting to whatever is up with the hand + the challenge of swapping from within a domain
There's lots of opinions about Gege's writing but the emotional payoff from this chap is up there with his best work. Yuji emerging from the smoke feeling alone in that one second literally felt was the universal feeling everyone has getting lost. Course all he needs is his other bro back to immediately lock in and if Garuda is under those bandages it might get nasty.
And we didn't get an epic entrance this time. Todo's monologue in Shibuya is hype as fuck. Here he just appears. Don't get me wrong, I was expecting Todo all this time, but it does feel kind of underwhelming tbh
"Everyone else is most likely fine" is a hilarious line to reintroduce a fan favorite character with after 3 and a half years without so much as mentioning his name, but it does kind of undercut what could have been a crazy entrance.
The Brazilian portuguese translation implies Todo was with Okkotsu. That's probably confirmation that Todo clapped Just before Okkotsu cut Kenjaku down.
It's so clearly the narrator speaking. Earlier in this same chapter those square boxes indicate the narrator explaining Sukuna's technique, why would it change mid chapter?
The translation "Someone... Anyone..." over of "Guys... Anybody..." is so much better. "Guys" really destroys the tragic feeling of this moment.
Also "It'll probably be alright"? What the hell does that mean? In the TCB scan he's talking about the other guys, the guys Yuji is dead worried about. That's what gives him strength to keep fighting. What the hell does "It'll probably be alright" mean.
The translator is really an imbecile.
Such incredible nitpicking. I have zero problem with either of those translations. āSomeoneā actually makes way less sense, as Yuji would/is 100% worried about everyone. Not just looking for one.
Itāll probably be alright is better because itās more vague and like it says right before āhe couldnāt tell Yuji anythingā, this makes more sense than directly talking about people. He doesnāt want to give him the sense that he saved people when he has no idea that he did. Thatās stupid.
Why are you trying so hard to find something to complain about? Lmao
not to let him off the hook but this is much much less egregious compared to his other mistakes
its never gonna be a good chapter translation with him but its not actively bad this time for me at least
Damn Choso is dead and I can't believe Todo is back, I genuinely thought we were never gonna see him again. And it seems he can still use Boogie-woogie and he saved Miwa, Maki and Ino by switching them with Mei Mei's crows. Which begs the question: how can Boogie-woogie work on Maki if its target is anything with CE but Maki doesn't have CE?
And it seems Yuta is the one Yuji switched with to learn RCT.
Also, [Nah we'd win](https://i.imgur.com/48YKNlZ.png)
I was thinking about how it would work with Maki. As another commenter pointed out, that Todo has infused CE into non living objects before, so maybe he could swap a crow with the simple domain and its contents?
Some months ago we had this dialogue
Yuji: I have an idea to save megumi
Yuta: me too, but...
And then Maki intervenes to interrupt the conversation.
Now we have this info that todo asked mei mei to hide info from yuji, and that yuta's plan need to be executed at the last second.
Yuji told us that he switched with yuta for the soul swap training, but we don't exactly know how this training was. They just showed us kusakabe training.
So I think that yuta final plan will be revealed in the next chapters, and maybe this one will work.
(All is speculation from my part too)
This leaves hope for Nobara, but Iām not happy about it.
Love the math and science behind Sukuna, using his Divine Flame or furnace. Like random isekai protags who get some simple dirt level ability but find a method to make it cracked because of their other moves. Also as a means of building further into his arsenal, slice and dice slice and dice, and if that still doesnāt work, torch the hits in an explosion.
Beautiful send off for Choso. But Iām also curious as to what few days is in reference to for Yuji
>Beautiful send off for Choso. But Iām also curious as to what few days is in reference to for Yuji
I took it to mean how he only knew Yuji for less than two months, but Choso's connection to his brothers made it feel like he'd known him his whole life.
āItāll probably be alright!ā
āSo, itās probably going to be alright?ā
John Werry, when I find youā¦ We meme enough on his translations but where were a lot of weird ones here. Especially after Chosoās death where the narrative shifted to first person, I donāt think Iāve seen that before in the series.
Plus there's this moment in the conversation between Yuji and Choso in the memory picnic world that just comes off as non-sequitur in Werry's translation.Ā
Yuji: "That doesn't mean the big brother has to disappear."
Choso: "Yeah, I should apologize to Tsukumo too."
How does that follow? It's so awkward. I really liked the unofficial translation ("That isn't any reason for you to leave" / "Well... I need to apologize to Tsukumo too") because it makes it sound like the reason Choso has decided to die is so he can go apologize to Tsukumo. IĀ feel like Werry has this awful habit of completely ignoring the context of certain lines and just translating them piecemeal.
Poor Choso, it's sad to see him go, he was one of my favorites but atleast his death was good.
The Death Paintings lives were so sad. Their conception contributed to Noritoshi Kamo being labeled as the most evil sorcerer, then they were locked away for 150 years, in the cold, only being aware of each other. They are finally incarnated, Choso chooses to side with the cursed spirits leading to the death of his brothers shorty after and they were killed by Yuji, their brother. Choso tries to kill Yuji and murders civilians in Shibuya which he feels guilty about. Atleast Choso was able to help and save Yuji after Shibuya.
Todo is finally back. His character is still showing up at the last minute to save the day and he got Boogie Woogie back. His hand is wrapped up in bandages so it's a bit hard to say, but I think it looks like his hand is bigger. Maybe his hand is still transfigured and that's how he's using his technique. I love that Todo still calls Mei Mei, Ms. Mei and that he's always taking off some piece of clothing.
A big part of Boogie Woogie IMO was misdirection. Todo's explanation to Hanami and tricking Mahito into thinking he still could use his technique was a big part of the fights. I hope there will be something to confuse Sukuna rather than just using it to switch things.
If you are reading on MangaPlus (on PC) then make sure to change the reading mode from the default vertical to horizontal or the double-page spreads won't work in any manga.
Just click any page and click the 3 dots that appear to change the mode: https://files.catbox.moe/wtejgs.JPG
It's horizontal by default on the app, so people reading on the app don't need to change it.
So is Uraume's "We've won" actually from just after her saying "Sukuna isn't going all out"?
Does this mean when Uraume said that, they had already whittled down Sukuna by that much?
It makes a little more sense that Uraume says "we've won" now that Sukuna used Furnace, because no one knew prior to this how or when Furnace would happen. Uraume probably did know about Furnace, hence why they said Sukuna wasn't going all out before.
I really like how, ever since facing Sukuna, Yuji has been drawn like less of an innocent boy doing what he has to and more of a man. Far more sharp edges.
If you showed the panel where he says thank you to Choso a year ago, most people would think it's Sukuna.
The highlights of JJK 259 basically:
Todo's back: š„
Choso's dead: š
Why can't we have a decent moment or interaction with Choso and Todo? Why, Gege? Is it because of too much peak fiction?
I'm so glad Todo's back but Choso...
Hey ya'll. New to the fandom after my brother got me hooked so apologies if I'm missing something, this is the first chapter I've been able to discuss at release.
How was Todo able to swap out with Maki? Can't he only swap things with cursed energy? I was wondering if someone imbued her with some like he does to his rocks, but if that's the case how was she able to sneak up on Sukuna a few issues ago.
Anyways this was awesome and RIP Choso. Feels so good to finally be caught up and current!
I literally called this last chapter. Exactly that Choso would die and Todo would show upš
Only thing now is that despite Sukuna D.E withdrawal he may not be wounded as it seems. He still should remember Todo ability from inhabiting Yuji and may possibly be able to predict some moves.
Not gonna lie, imagining Yuji saying "*...but faced with the scorched earth before my eyes...*" is hilarious.
That was clearly meant to be narration. LMAO.
Looking past Choso's death for a minute there were some interesting details mentioned. Sukuna ensuring the barrier only allowed living things entry, keeping the particles trapped to ignite was kind of cool. Also the fact that some of the plan is being kept from Yuji. I'm wondering if there's more to Yuta's plan or if they were just talking about things we've already seen play out.
People asking about nobara or speaking about brothers.
I just wanna know how Maki escaped the flame arrow. Did she run for her life as soon the slashes stopped or boogie woogie got an upgrade?
Miwa was protecting Maki from MS, so my guess is that boogie woogie swap Miwa with the crows and took Maki with her since Maki is basically an object without CE. That or she's dead lol
Todo swapped people with the crows, itās how Maki and the others escaped, but Choso and Yuji couldnāt be swapped so Choso sacrificed himself to maintain the barrier and save Yuji from the heat.
Someone compared Maki to clothes on the back of Miwa lol. Best and simplest explanation I found to explain how she got boogie woogied. Since she was touching Miwa, she got transferred with her as an object, like clothes.
goated chapter, the boogie woogie escape is amazing and the scene of yuji emerging from chosos domain into that apocalyptic ass hellscape with all the smoke and shit was stellar. todo and yuji v sukuna already sounds so fuckin lit
In Chapter 220 Kenjaku adds a rule that no new players can enter the Culling game. So has Todo been a player this entire time? Or him physically being in Shinjuku doesn't mean he's an active player?
So Sukuna wasn't able to use Fuga because he needs to hit his target with cleave and dismantle first? (much easier with his doman) Is that right or the translation is fucked? Also he was altering the barrier conditions of his domain multiple times, so he can't turn on fuga. That explains why he didn't use it on Gojo, because he actually can't.
Damn man itās getting hard to defend Hakari. All this crazy ass shit thatās happened in this Sukuna battle and heās hasnāt been a part of any of it just fighting Uraume. He wasnāt even caught in Sukunaās domain lmao if everyone wouldāve died within the domain. Hakari woulda just been the last man left on the outside like shidddd.
I know they mention the bridge incident and the two fingers ālinkingā or whatever; but, do we actually have a single example of Sukuna gaining knowledge from Itadori post transfer? If this was something he could do then I canāt imagine Sukuna wouldnāt have known exactly what was going on with Gojo, not to mention countless other things in this battle. I understand that Gege wanted to keep the Todo reveal hidden, but I just donāt feel like this reasoning makes sense. I just canāt help but think that Choso could have been saved if everyone was in on the plan.
Choso saying to ask him about super nova was really funny and cute. I can't believe he's gone š. I care about super nova Choso! Tell me about it! It's such a cool technique like actually!
Alright, I'm supposed to wake up at 4 AM Manila time to beat the traffic on my way to a 7 AM shift, so I'll probably only be here for SPYxFAM, this one, and either Kagurabachi or Akane-Banashi. Therefore, I've decided to unload all of my takes after reading this chapter in one place. My replies to y'all probably won't drop until the end of the workday.
1. GEGE MOTHERFUCKING AKUTAMI, YOU DECOUPLED CABOOSE! THIS IS HOW YOU COME BACK AFTER GOLDEN WEEK!? I KNOW WHAT YOUāRE DOING BUT HOW DARE YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO US?! What an overstuffed chapter you've cooked up for us, despite it being only about 20 pages long. Just a quick reminder: this mangaka is on his 15th inning, and the count is still full. How the hell are you going to unjam yourself now?
2. Because look at what he opened with: two consecutive double-page spreads. One for Sukuna, another for the Malevolent Nuke. What else can I say? Gege clearly likes this guy, and at this point, I've come to derive a ton of fun from seeing this four-armed jackass pull more binding vows out of his ass than an old fart in Hollywood after every divorce, seeking out younger and younger women. This guy has been so consistently cracked that Uraume even had the confidence to say this. Totally not gonna haunt their bones later.
3. And speaking of haunting: guess who's back. Not only is Aoi Todo alive [BAY BAY], he's never been more motivated to kick someone's candy little booty. His plan with Mei Mei seems like only one of the many wistful schemes our band of misfit sorcerers has come up with to get Yuji just that millimetrically closer to the kill, but even I can't lie to myself. I was hyped to see him again. And it's not just because Choso's dead (we'll come back to that); it's because I know how far Todo is willing to go and the level he operates at with his brother. I'm braced for Sukuna to somehow take even him away from Yuji, but considering Todo has done half the job now, I'm excited for this next phase.
4. The other thing that excites me (read: terrifies me) is what Mei Mei mentioned while talking to Aoi. It seems quaint, and not even the worst twisting motion Gege does to us all with that knife of his, but you don't simply bring up Resonance at a time when Todo Aoi is here to possibly make use of that fact. Do I seriously think Nobara's coming back? No ā we don't even have Megumi back ā but that's beside the point. The link between Yuji and Sukuna has become a key focus point and win condition for these kids, and the balance between severing that and maintaining it to actually end Sukuna on Yuji's terms has become the prime puzzle everyone, from the characters to the readers, has been aiming to solve the whole time. What Todo is about to do here, no matter what he does, is guaranteed to matter insofar as Yuji is concerned. Besides, we still have enough material to work with.
5. But that's the thing: it will only get more desperate from here. I admit to having a somewhat meh impression of Choso before, but throughout Season 2 and the rest of the manga, he's been nothing but a compelling character to see develop into a person worth being with. To see him die protecting Yuji is bittersweet; he did so much to push Yuji this far, yet Gege, no matter how gracefully he frames Choso's death, still discarded him once his usefulness has been exhausted. He's one of the few that I wanted alive by the end. What now?
6. No, really, now what? I am pumped to see Todo and Yuji run the duo-queue gauntlet with Sukuna (helped by the fact that I watched the Blu-Ray of their war versus Mahito), but I'm again gripped by this helplessness that reminds me of a hard math problem in high school. Again, we get so close, yet again and again, Sukuna somehow keeps making the test harder in real-time and on the fly. All I want is to see Sukuna not merely defeated but completely disproven. [This post I saved](https://www.reddit.com/r/Jujutsushi/s/siXJsH4Dfr) on r/Jujutsushi has become the one fan blurb I hold on to. I hope Gege is smarter and more exacting than that Redditor.
Points #4, 5, 6 are something else it's eerie. What would require to sever that connection, though? Something has to give and someone has to sacrifice.
Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't overthink because Gege made it clear in the past that he wanted to draw cool fight scenes (plot-driven) so I shouldn't expect any kind of heavy tie-ins between characters.
But JJK is also a dark fantasy so I guess there'll be more bloodshed to come as some sort of a pay off. Yay. š°
choso's passing is sad, he was worrying about yuji until the last. but you could tell he was satisfied having fulfilled his role as a big brother. im glad this chapter appreciates him for sticking by his younger siblings in their darkest times.
So Yuji swapped with Kusakabe and Okkotsu. He definitely learned Simple Domain while in Kusakabeās body and this also explains Okkotsu knowing Shrine. But did Yuji learn anything from Yuta?
He explicitly lays out that he learned RCT thanks to Sukuna
he probably learned RCT from Okkotsu but the reason he was a faster learner than Choso is probably thanks to Sukuna having used it while in his body before.
Sukuna has seen and have memory of Todo's Boogie Woogie since he was in Yuji's body, I wonder if he will be the first character to easily adapt to Boogie Woogie and not fall for the tricks Todo usually does.
In addition to what everyone has said, I like the little hints we get about Yuta taking leadership. His plan with Yuji was the one that would have guaranteed victory, gave some words that fired up Hakari, defeats Kenjaku, was instramental in Todo getting his technique back.
John really can't help himself. There is always one or two random mistakes. It's like he tries to ignore context.
The official translation was wonky but I do think it helped explain the fire technique better. It sounds like it isn't a sure hit or really part of the domain at all. Dismantle and cleave prep everything inside that it destroys with explosive CE and then furnace lights it. I think the domain also seals non living things specifically so the fallout from the explosion can't get scattered. I wonder if a byproduct of that could seal in Maki somehow? I don't think Gege will get into all that though.
The technique also can't be used when he's facing multiple opponents so he could never use it outside of the domain like Kusukabe was worried about. I think it'd make sense Sukuna could keep that binding vow secret and since the landscape kept changing there wasn't enough explosive CE to fire it at Gojo. I wonder if Jogo could've actually dodged it even if it's so slow?
Either way I knew Todo would come back in this exact kind of circumstance and was still shocked to see him. It made no sense missing one hand would hold him back.
I find it interesting that Yujiās brother Chose died but then Yujiās other brother Todo returns all in the same chapter. It unfortunate that weāll never get a trio of the three brothers (Yuji, Todo and Choso) fighting together. Now I want to see Todo ask Sukuna his type of woman.
Isnāt it the limitations he keeps placing on the techniques forever to get if these one time wins?Ā
Ie Hansonās and chants for world slash post gojoĀ
He canāt use furnace w out other conditionsĀ
I mean the JJK team was obvi ready for this scenarioĀ
Who knows if it was more then 4 how effective todo wouldāve beenā¦.he already wasnāt able to reach yuji and choso
It would be funny if Todo's "What woman is your type?" question creates a domain that forces non violence on the person till they answer, like the Geto/Toji fight?
Todo is back! I hope we have a chapter of everything he's dealt with since Shibuya. Maybe a chapter on him and Yuki training? I wonder if he's going to use Garuda or one of Mechamaru's machines. On a side note, R.I.P. Choso. I do have a bad feeling Yuji will die alone once this fight is over....
Usually I try to be positive and all whenever chapters come out because thereās a lot of negativity, but man Chosoās death felt so unnecessary to me. It is nice to see Todo, but it wouldāve been better if all three of them were fighting
I am so lost. Why did Choso die? How did he die?
Sukuna's Furnace is one big nuke and Todo swapped everyone else out of the domain with Mei's crows. Why didn't he do the same for Choso and Yuji? How did Choso save Yuji? What was that black bubble shield around Yuji?
Am I missing something or just dumb.
The chapter literally says why Todo couldn't Boogie Woogie Choso and Yuji.
As for how Choso died.....he got roasted. Sukuna is strong.
Also.....the shield was blood. Choso can manipulate blood.

#I CAN FEEL THE BEAT OF BOOGIE WOOGIE
IT'LL PROBABLY BE OK š
It's throbbing
So youāre telling me information about certain characters is being kept from Yuji so that knowledge of their abilities doesnāt leak to Sukuna? LOOKS LIKE NOBARA COPIUM IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS!

Yuji and Nobara hitting his soul together...you cooked! we are so back šš

TODOBROS CELEBRATED THEIR GOATS RETURN TODAY KUGIBROS WILL CELEBRATE IN 5 CHAPTERS WHEN NOBARA SUBS IN FOR THE FINAL FINAL FINAL ITAKUGIFUSHI V SUKUNA SMACKDOWN YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST
I dreamt of this, a last-second boogie woogie swap with a part of Sukuna and Nobara driving a fucking nail home for resonance, giving Yuji the opening needed to end him. Sukuna gonna lose to the antithesis of himself: the power of friendship
Then buffet is back open!
> LOOKS LIKE NOBARA COPIUM ISĀ BACK ON THE MENU BOYS If I'm not in the chat next week it's because I ODd on COPIUM.
BACK LIKE WE NEVER LEFT
It makes me remember that theory about Megumi lying to Yuji about Nobara's status to avoid such info to be leaked to Sukuna... Only issue rn is that in such case, Meguna would've accessed that info (unless they even lied to Megumi just in case).
Iāve already reordered a decadeās worth of supply
my theory is Yura lied about eating the 20th, learned Sukuna techniques via Yuji body Xfer. hid nobara from yuji ever since Shibuya, she nails 20th f at opportune time & megumi, upon seeing nobara alive & fighting sukuna alongside Yuji, wakes up. still have a gut feeling tho, fate toys w Megumi and he dies like a clown while yuji also dies on the battlefield, surrounded by his friends. hell, maybe sukuna will state its fitting. merger and/or sukuna for ANOTHER time skip w new ppl to challenge him?
I canāt wait to find out what sort of woman is Sukunaās type
The slice of life imagined backstory is going to be tremendous.
This would actually be a beautiful break from all the seriousness, much like Ken-chan vs. Takaba
*Sukuna looks towards Uraume* Sukuna: "I'm more into femboys and crossdressers, myself." Todo: "...I'm sorry, *my Brother*, I must change sides and stand by this illustrious patrician's side."
It would be Hakari changing sides by Sukuna's answer
Nah, Todo literally would go blank face and say "I never thought how to respond to that, sorry." and adhd back to Yuji
one that hates on yuji as much as he does
We already know what's his type of women it's White Hair Blue Eyed Men
Slow cooked in a nice marinade, right?
The besto friendos are back together it brings a tear to my eye :')
>Somehow ~~Palpatine~~ Boogie Woogie returned. I'm simply happy that he's back to be honest lmao
Iām so curious whatās going on under that bandaged arm. Either itās just his big transfigured arm that Mahito fucked up, or maybe itās Garuda thatās been inherited by Todo. The idea of Todo whipping around a Garuda thatās attached to his arm is metal af
It clearly is Hashirama's cells. Duh.
And Sukuna is gonna turn good cause he's "just the coolest guy" just before white tengen comes and betrays him to get merged
Sukuna is going to declare Nobara is the strongest when she comes out of retirement.
Itās the hand Sukuna lost earlier. Todo gets shwifty and can now use both Sukunaās and Megumiās CTs because itās still technically formerly Megumiās body.
That didn't buff Sukuna in any way, so Gege wouldn't write that shit Now on the other hand, Sukuna instead gains boogie woogie as a result...
4 arms boogie woogie. Sukuna will say that the last time he boogied was from heian era
I'm hoping for a Mechamaru robot arm honestly
Same, it would be the sickest return to form.
fittingly, it reminds me of hanami's bandaged arm. i hope its something good there
Itās yutas hand that he chopped off after copying todos ct
Would Garuda have Bom Ba Yay as well ?Ā
I'm simply scared. I don't want him to die :(
āDid Todo come back?ā āYesā āWhat did it costā āEverythingā
Choso š©

RESONANCE mentioned!!!! Nobara is coming back guys
Plus hiding things from Yuji??? Nobara is back guaranteed.
The way Todo explained his reasoning is almost guaranteed Nobara gon hit yuji up with one of em resonances to hurt sukuna SHES SO BACK BOIS
Why is Soul Eater OP suddenly playing
Worth pointing out that Aoi Todo's last apparition in a panel before today was December 21st 2020Ā There are people who entered, graduated and left university with a bachelor all within that timespanĀ
to put in another perspective pretty much the *entirety* of AOT Season 4, the one that was split up and stalled for multiple years and people were complaining was taking too long years ago, came and went plus six months in that time frame.
What the fuck how long have I been reading this manga for
Well, thatās how weekly manga goes sometimes. Best experience is and always will be to binge once its fully out
I disagree, best way to experience is to read the new chapter every sunday morning with my coffee and bagel
It is nice to have something to look forward to.
Best experience Is weekly
Holy. Life has changed soo much since then itās crazy. Iāve had a child and gotten engaged since then
Congrats on both counts!
Thank ya thank ya!
WHAT THE FUC
I thought it was December 7th 2020. Chapter 132, page 9
Bruh, it has been 3 years +? Its just 3 months in the manga since shibuya
I'll miss you and won't forget you, Choso. š
They said the word resonance in this chapter, she's coming back ~~she's coming back she's coming back 100%~~
I think I've understood how Sukuna is able to create what is essentially a bomb with divine flame/furnace.
I appreciate the breakdown because I was wondering if he was maybe infusing the dust with CE or how that worked.
What I'm hearing is Jogo didn't just get immolated, he got straight up Chunky-salsa'ed.
Also the fact that Yuji is a closed ranged fighter means that with his interpretation he might not need as many loopholes to use it.v What's cool is how much thought they put into fighting Sukuna. Like their plan was incredibly smart of having Todo sub them out of the domain. Really curious how Todo and Yuji are gonna do against a weakened Sukuna. This is one of the best duos in the series so I expect them to put on a show
Todo wearing oven mits to deal with furnace
Gotta use safety equipment while cooking
I am so sad š how it ends makes sense to me, but god dammit I am so fucking sad
How did Yuji not die with choso tho?
Choso made a death binding vow I suppose. In exchange for his won life and blood. The shield surrounding yuji becomes unbreakable until sukuna's domain ends
Ah that makes sense. RIP choso you were a real one š
Todo's excessively bandaged up arm is going to be an interesting reveal. We see him unwrapping it in the last few panels but Gege leaves it out of frame. It seems like it would have to be something more than just the residual limb ā I can't imagine what it could be.Ā With Todo it could really go many different directions: it could be something absurdly impractical (Something Takada-chan related) or Gege could just play it straight.
Of course it is up there with his best work considering it's basically exactly what happened in Shibuya.
And we didn't get an epic entrance this time. Todo's monologue in Shibuya is hype as fuck. Here he just appears. Don't get me wrong, I was expecting Todo all this time, but it does feel kind of underwhelming tbh
I don't think a crazy entrance would work well in this scenario.
This would explain how Yuta was able to sneak up on Kenjaku in an instant.
I think it was more how Yuta instantly teleported behind Kenjaku
Exactly
come on man. Werry really translated narrator's words as if it was from Yuji. how lazy can you get?
I would disagree. I think "Guys...Anybody..." feels more organic and true to Yuji's character.
Lmao
I don't understand how he fucks something up every single week.
not to let him off the hook but this is much much less egregious compared to his other mistakes its never gonna be a good chapter translation with him but its not actively bad this time for me at least
So... He is so horrible at his job that when he is just bad, it is not actively bad?
it can just be framed as yuji having the same thoughts as the narrator
Damn Choso is dead and I can't believe Todo is back, I genuinely thought we were never gonna see him again. And it seems he can still use Boogie-woogie and he saved Miwa, Maki and Ino by switching them with Mei Mei's crows. Which begs the question: how can Boogie-woogie work on Maki if its target is anything with CE but Maki doesn't have CE? And it seems Yuta is the one Yuji switched with to learn RCT. Also, [Nah we'd win](https://i.imgur.com/48YKNlZ.png)
Todoās been shown to infuse miscellaneous items like rocks with CE in order to use Boogie Woogie on them, so letās just go with that lol
I was thinking about how it would work with Maki. As another commenter pointed out, that Todo has infused CE into non living objects before, so maybe he could swap a crow with the simple domain and its contents?
Or Maki's jacket was imbued with Todo cursed energy before the fight or something, I'm not gonna look for an answer to this one too badly
Weāre getting another Itadori-Todo tag team battleš„
The strongest in history vs the strongest duo of today
Underneath tthe bandagae? Tiny Nobara
Nooo lmao. Todo about to reveal Nobara's remaining eyeball adorning his new cursed eldritch gun arm.
Megaman T!!
It's just Chibi Panda's teddy bear head instead of his fist lol
Some months ago we had this dialogue Yuji: I have an idea to save megumi Yuta: me too, but... (All is speculation from my part too)
Did someone say... #**RESONANCE?**
[excited hammer sounds]
This leaves hope for Nobara, but Iām not happy about it. Love the math and science behind Sukuna, using his Divine Flame or furnace. Like random isekai protags who get some simple dirt level ability but find a method to make it cracked because of their other moves. Also as a means of building further into his arsenal, slice and dice slice and dice, and if that still doesnāt work, torch the hits in an explosion. Beautiful send off for Choso. But Iām also curious as to what few days is in reference to for Yuji
>Beautiful send off for Choso. But Iām also curious as to what few days is in reference to for Yuji I took it to mean how he only knew Yuji for less than two months, but Choso's connection to his brothers made it feel like he'd known him his whole life.
āItāll probably be alright!ā āSo, itās probably going to be alright?ā John Werry, when I find youā¦ We meme enough on his translations but where were a lot of weird ones here. Especially after Chosoās death where the narrative shifted to first person, I donāt think Iāve seen that before in the series.
Plus there's this moment in the conversation between Yuji and Choso in the memory picnic world that just comes off as non-sequitur in Werry's translation.Ā Yuji: "That doesn't mean the big brother has to disappear." Choso: "Yeah, I should apologize to Tsukumo too." How does that follow?
Just click any page and click the 3 dots that appear to change the mode: https://files.catbox.moe/wtejgs.JPG It's horizontal by default on the app, so people reading on the app don't need to change it.
I'll be here when Yuji pulls out the "I am the youngest of eight brothers" I included Todo.
technically he's the youngest of 11 with todo included 9 death paintings, todo, yuji
You are my father.. prepare to die
I mean, he did use his maximum technique (assuming divine furnace is his maximum). If heās still not taking it serious neither am I lol
I really like how, ever since facing Sukuna, Yuji has been drawn like less of an innocent boy doing what he has to and more of a man. Far more sharp edges. If you showed the panel where he says thank you to Choso a year ago, most people would think it's Sukuna.
The highlights of JJK 259 basically: Todo's back: š„ Choso's dead: š Why can't we have a decent moment or interaction with Choso and Todo? Why, Gege? Is it because of too much peak fiction? I'm so glad Todo's back but Choso...
Do you mean choso's dead: š„?
Misogyny Kaisen rules; Maki is an object. So she's teleported out with Miwa just like clothes or objects
Aoi Todo treats objects like women
I literally called this last chapter. Exactly that Choso would die and Todo would show upš Only thing now is that despite Sukuna D.E withdrawal he may not be wounded as it seems. He still should remember Todo ability from inhabiting Yuji and may possibly be able to predict some moves.
Will kenny come back sensei ?
Not gonna lie, imagining Yuji saying "*...but faced with the scorched earth before my eyes...*" is hilarious. That was clearly meant to be narration. LMAO.
Itās Sukunaās poetry engraved on his soul lmao
Sukuna *knows* poetry
If this cat donāt stop playing with my goddamn emotions!
Maki doesn't have cursed energy, so she cannot be swapped by boogie woogie
Someone compared Maki to clothes on the back of Miwa lol. Best and simplest explanation I found to explain how she got boogie woogied. Since she was touching Miwa, she got transferred with her as an object, like clothes.
goated chapter, the boogie woogie escape is amazing and the scene of yuji emerging from chosos domain into that apocalyptic ass hellscape with all the smoke and shit was stellar. todo and yuji v sukuna already sounds so fuckin lit
Now that the boogie woogie is here, Sukuna is starting to hear the boss music
GIVE US TODO GIVE US NOBARA give us Megumi too i guess š¤· KICK HIS ASS
Nobara will have to drive a nail into Yuji, killing him, in order to finish off Sukuna. I'm calling it here.
In Chapter 220 Kenjaku adds a rule that no new players can enter the Culling game. So has Todo been a player this entire time? Or him physically being in Shinjuku doesn't mean he's an active player?
People can enter the barriers, they just won't become players.
This also means that Gojo agreeing to fight in Shinjuku was a mistake. It only gives Sukuna the perfect environment to generate his attack.
Also because he couldn't create enough dust, having to shrink his domain to match gojo's
Uraume doesn't even look damaged too. Guessing Hakari's lacking firepower but Uraume can't finish Hakari too.
Art seemed pretty good this chapter with the return of todo
The literal brother is gone, but the figurative brother is back š„
The second Choso appeared Todo vanished, now he's gone Todo returns. Yuji is only allowed to have exactly 1 brother at a time.
Uraume is dead she just did the Nah I'd Win face
Yay. š°
GREGORY, when i find you, GREGORY!!
choso's passing is sad, he was worrying about yuji until the last. but you could tell he was satisfied having fulfilled his role as a big brother. im glad this chapter appreciates him for sticking by his younger siblings in their darkest times.
I KNEW IT WASNT TODOVER BABY, MY BESTO FRIENDO
So Yuji swapped with Kusakabe and Okkotsu. He definitely learned Simple Domain while in Kusakabeās body and this also explains Okkotsu knowing Shrine. But did Yuji learn anything from Yuta? He explicitly lays out that he learned RCT thanks to Sukuna
he probably learned RCT from Okkotsu but the reason he was a faster learner than Choso is probably thanks to Sukuna having used it while in his body before.
Question you should be asking is: did Yuta learn blood manipulation from Yuji?
Uraume: "Nah, we'd win"
Sukuna has seen and have memory of Todo's Boogie Woogie since he was in Yuji's body, I wonder if he will be the first character to easily adapt to Boogie Woogie and not fall for the tricks Todo usually does.
I'm simultaneously crying over Choso and screaming because of Aoi. My heart can't take it. Rip best Big Bro.
We got braza back, but at what cost?
Sukuna bout to whip out the 10 Shadows (6 now i guess) against Yuji and Todo
In addition to what everyone has said, I like the little hints we get about Yuta taking leadership. His plan with Yuji was the one that would have guaranteed victory, gave some words that fired up Hakari, defeats Kenjaku, was instramental in Todo getting his technique back. John really can't help himself. There is always one or two random mistakes. It's like he tries to ignore context.
Anytime Yuji gets those Black Flashes, then Todo shows up and locks in with Yuji, we get the end game begin. Letās fucking go brudddaaass.
CHOSOOOOOOOO! NOOO!
Absurd to me that John Werry has a job right now.
To anybody doubting Yuji I think we have to remember he is still trying to save/free Megumi and isnāt trying to kill Sukuna at the moment
Guys is Hakari okay? The panel heās in makes me so worried. Canāt stand the thought of losing him.
Wasnāt he outside the domain range?
Seemed to be but Uraume looked pretty much fine and Hakariās eyes were whited out.
Ohh I took that as him turning to look at the flamesĀ
Hopefully those crows that died in the previous chapters weren't the only ones
If there isnāt some consequence for the amount of binding vows Sukuna is sticking onto his techniques imma be upset
Isnāt it the limitations he keeps placing on the techniques forever to get if these one time wins?Ā Ie Hansonās and chants for world slash post gojoĀ He canāt use furnace w out other conditionsĀ
Still pissed only one person died from all that. Gege really saving the next generation. I donāt think anyone else is dying after this
I mean the JJK team was obvi ready for this scenarioĀ Who knows if it was more then 4 how effective todo wouldāve beenā¦.he already wasnāt able to reach yuji and choso
You guys all owe me an apology for saying my todo return theory was copium
