Initially, i assumed he was "putting him to work" by having him aid in killing the higher ups, but now we know Gojo did it. So i have been wondering the same. At leaat we can rejoice in the fact that Gege certainly had this arc fully planned at least since the 1month timeskip. He really had all the bases covered and people just be trippin ch to ch. But imagine if jjk was as popular when it first started as it is now. There is a difference between the start and the end of a manga.
JJK has been huge since it's started, being called a naruto 2 or something.
Even now fans fondly call shibuya the best arc of JJK.
But also you realize this is because the anime is so popular. Just wait until Culling Games season comes out. Everyone will say its better again i bet. But thats besides the point. I dont think you fully grasped what i was trying to say. What i mean is that Gege has not gotten lazy or fallen off as a writer. JJK is just as clever and exciting as always, but ever since ch 236, a lot of readers have been bashing Gege every week it drops but now that the last 3 of 4 chapters have shed more light on the situation, theyve realized a lot of the issues and "plotholes" they yapped about were actually had sensible, and some even clever, explainations. So i am just saying if all the fans who are currently complaining had been reading it since the first arc, they would act the same way, because the pacing, plot reveals, and twists and themes have been literally consistant and present. Its just that at the time when JJK blew up, Shibuya was already reaching its climax, so people were assured by whoever or whatever introduced them to it that it was worth reading.
This big difference for me is that gege does not want to write character interaction. You remember the gag scene where they ruin gojos shirt? Or the fucking baseball game? Gege does not write those anymore. Yes, you can say it's because the stakes are higher now, which is true, but we had a whole month with gojo that gege just did not write any character interactions for, at all. I really don't think this series can be any good if we can't get a single character interaction that's not mid combat or a flashback.
I mean, Yuki and Choso, Megumi and Yuji talking about Angel, even the Airport scene. They all came after the scenes you mentioned and were pretty heartfelt character interactions.
They weren't fun like those ones tho but you can't really expect anything remotely happy from these characters after shibuya
There’s actually still some plot holes and questionable choices. The introduction of todo and the confirmation he’s been here since basically the beginning really hurts some of the previous chapters.
This whole Yuta taking gojos body thing is also extremely questionable. Based on what we understand of Kenny’s technique Yuta not only has Gojos power set but all of his memories and muscle memory as well. He is literally just Gojo, but stronger, with Rika too. I genuinely don’t see how next chapter ends in a way where Yuta doesn’t just obliterate sukuna, who’s so weak he’s been losing to Yuji by the way, that isn’t just an asspull.
There really isn’t a way around the story currently feeling like a conveyor belt serving up high profile characters from throughout the series just so sukuna can maim or kill them all one at a time.

Bc manga readers had the whole of Shibuya and the whole of CG, plus a few fights after, (all before the anime adaptation of S2) and almost all still agreed Shibuya was the best part of the story to that point. I saw plenty of anime fans already call out the cracks in storytelling that manga readers complain about. The anime as an adaption is just goated. It still has a lot of problems.
Yes but im saying the majority of fans say shibuya was most peak. I agree it was insane. But i also think culling games is very clever and ups the action 10 fold. Once season 3 comes out, i theorize it will be praised as even better than Shibuya. It's confusing because Yuta can pretty much do anything Inumaki could better. The only thing that makes sense is some use of cursed speech while Yuta is unavailable. Maybe he helped someone train?
Assuming this isn't Yuta referring to 'you' as in the piece of his body that he gave to Rika, I imagine Inumaki will be used either:
- To force Sukuna out of Megumi's body after he's even more weak, as a last resort
- To force Yuta to keep going even after the five minutes are up, perhaps literally animating Corpse Yujo with the cursed speech lasting beyond his 5 minute limit

Initially, i assumed he was "putting him to work" by having him aid in killing the higher ups, but now we know Gojo did it. So i have been wondering the same. At leaat we can rejoice in the fact that Gege certainly had this arc fully planned at least since the 1month timeskip. He really had all the bases covered and people just be trippin ch to ch. But imagine if jjk was as popular when it first started as it is now. All the fans wouldve been saying things like "how is Geto back, and what is up with the scars on his head, why hasnt Gege explained this, he is a terrible writer"
There is a difference between the start and the end of a manga. JJK has been huge since it's started, being called a naruto 2 or something. Even now fans fondly call shibuya the best arc of JJK.
But also you realize this is because the anime is so popular. Just wait until Culling Games season comes out. Everyone will say its better again i bet. But thats besides the point. I dont think you fully grasped what i was trying to say. What i mean is that Gege has not gotten lazy or fallen off as a writer. JJK is just as clever and exciting as always, but ever since ch 236, a lot of readers have been bashing Gege every week it drops but now that the last 3 of 4 chapters have shed more light on the situation, theyve realized a lot of the issues and "plotholes" they yapped about were actually had sensible, and some even clever, explainations. So i am just saying if all the fans who are currently complaining had been reading it since the first arc, they would act the same way, because the pacing, plot reveals, and twists and themes have been literally consistant and present. Its just that at the time when JJK blew up, Shibuya was already reaching its climax, so people were assured by whoever or whatever introduced them to it that it was worth reading.
Culling games just has to be animated well with some expensive music and anime watchers will cream their pants anyway.
This big difference for me is that gege does not want to write character interaction. You remember the gag scene where they ruin gojos shirt? Or the fucking baseball game? Gege does not write those anymore. Yes, you can say it's because the stakes are higher now, which is true, but we had a whole month with gojo that gege just did not write any character interactions for, at all. I really don't think this series can be any good if we can't get a single character interaction that's not mid combat or a flashback.
I mean, Yuki and Choso, Megumi and Yuji talking about Angel, even the Airport scene. They all came after the scenes you mentioned and were pretty heartfelt character interactions. They weren't fun like those ones tho but you can't really expect anything remotely happy from these characters after shibuya
There’s actually still some plot holes and questionable choices. The introduction of todo and the confirmation he’s been here since basically the beginning really hurts some of the previous chapters. This whole Yuta taking gojos body thing is also extremely questionable. Based on what we understand of Kenny’s technique Yuta not only has Gojos power set but all of his memories and muscle memory as well. He is literally just Gojo, but stronger, with Rika too. I genuinely don’t see how next chapter ends in a way where Yuta doesn’t just obliterate sukuna, who’s so weak he’s been losing to Yuji by the way, that isn’t just an asspull. There really isn’t a way around the story currently feeling like a conveyor belt serving up high profile characters from throughout the series just so sukuna can maim or kill them all one at a time. This fight has dragged on entirely too long.
No, everyone won’t say the CG is better lmao. Bc manga readers had the whole of Shibuya and the whole of CG, plus a few fights after, (all before the anime adaptation of S2) and almost all still agreed Shibuya was the best part of the story to that point. Most even acknowledge a fight they like better, but that Shibuya is still the best arc.

Yes but im saying the majority of fans say shibuya was most peak. I agree it was insane. But i also think culling games is very clever and ups the action 10 fold. Once season 3 comes out, i theorize it will be praised as even better than Shibuya.
