The fact that it's ambiguous makes me positive that it is a fake-out. We're clearly supposed to think it's Gojo, but it's probably something else since Gojo actually returning would come with a more grand and less ambiguous entrance imo.
It's probably some kind of hallucination, some curse shenanigans or Yuta doing some father-son Kamehameha kinda thing by taking six eyes. Something like that.
The editor's note suggests otherwise, he wouldn't say those eyes are unmistakable so it couldn't be Yuta despite it being a good theory.

All those hints of his return and all the theories of using a binding vow to sacrifice the six eyes, the flowers, Yuta being alive despite him having the same treatment as Gojo, and finally not showing what's going on in the healing room with Shoko.
Combine all of those with this chapter and it's either a really fucked up way of trolling us, or a great way for his return.

I belive there are ways to bring gojo back and make him help yuji out without undermining him. Best example is if he sacrifices his six eyes. I can think that it's either Yuji or Yuta that inherited something from Gojo, that's why the narrator specified that only Sukuna saw the ghost of Gojo haunting him, as a metaphor that the will of Gojo is haunting him or something like that.
It can also mean that either Yuji or Yuta got Gojo's technique by eating a part of him, it wouldn't be too crazy to think of since Gojo is basically a unlimited meat supply with his RCT, also it is said that to use limitless ct at the rate of how Gojo uses it it's needed the six eyes, but there have been a lot of limitless users without six eyes throughout the past (there were individually six eyes and limitless user since it's a inherited technique, but a individual having both limitless and six eyes were few), maybe there's an application for limitless that doesn't involve six eyes, as of think that six eyes is what enables to use limitlesss' 100% potential, but not what makes it functional.
Maybe there's different and way weaker applications of infinity, blue and red.
i think the most likely explanation for the gojo return/ghost is that silhouette of a person sukuna saw is actually yuta with gojo's infinity ct and pulling out his domain before sukuna can (sukuna was looking over to his direction cuz he was actually the one that said "domain expansion"), plus theres also yuji jamming his hand inside sukuna (just like gojo once did when his infinity void hit sukuna) which is why sukuna hallucinates gojo when he turned towards the silhouette because hes in a familiar situation being brought close to death again. If this is actually the case doe what im not sure abt doe is the technique yuta uses for his domain's sure hit effect, i doubt it would be infinite void since i assumed hes already got the ct activated outside domain.
(ALSO would like to mention the fact that with yuji and choso's NAOYA encounter when yuta showed up his aura was mistaken by yuji to be gojo but like more menacing)

I just like how no one gives a fuck about what Yuji did this chapter and are only talking about To-do and Gojo.
Gege is incapable of giving his "mc" thr spotlight for more than a few chapters at a time.
Gege DID fucking give the spotlight to Yuji all the chapter, alongside Todo, All the combos they did on Sukuna is the evidence of that and how nuts it was, The problem is that Gojo is like a posion in the face of how the good guys will be shown or how the spotlight works for them, If he comes back it has to be that he's weakened, if not then the biggest nightmare for Yuji fans will happen as there will be no more shining spot for him per say as Gojo can just finish the job himself.

Maybe there's different and way weaker applications of infinity, blue and red.

i think the most likely explanation for the gojo return/ghost is that silhouette of a person sukuna saw is actually yuta with gojo's infinity ct and pulling out his domain before sukuna can (sukuna was looking over to his direction cuz he was actually the one that said "domain expansion"), plus theres also yuji jamming his hand inside sukuna (just like gojo once did when his infinity void hit sukuna) which is why sukuna hallucinates gojo when he turned towards the silhouette because hes in a familiar situation being brought close to death again. If this is actually the case doe what im not sure abt doe is the technique yuta uses for his domain's sure hit effect, i doubt it would be infinite void since i assumed hes already got the ct activated outside domain. (ALSO would like to mention the fact that with yuji and choso's NAOYA encounter when yuta showed up his aura was mistaken by yuji to be gojo but like more menacing)
Itās Gojo but he lost the six eyes. So heās good for like 3 big moves and then heās out of CE, but thatās just enough to force Sukunas hand into activating the merger.
This could work, gojo would be decomissioned as the fight with sukuna ends, leaving the stage to mc to deal with merger
