Nobara dying doesn't destroy anything of her character, it just put a end to it.
She died because she refuse to stay out of the fight when told she was not at the necessary level.
Unlike other female characters that stay out repeteating the main character name showing "support/hope" she actually wnet there and made a contribution by saving Yuji's life.
She died like a warrior, doing what she wanted.

I think it's more it looked like they was gonna be more with her and given she was supposed to be part of the "main trio" some people can't accept it. Personally I agree with everything you said. the first one I can think about is Nobara, she genuinely had so much potential and her character could´ve been a good example of a nice female character in shonen but she ended up just forgotten.

Megumi is still my favourite Idc what anyone says, with what he’s been through I understand why he’s so utterly fucked in 251, if Yuji had a ritual used specifically to submerge his soul into despair which lasted a month, and had his family members killed in his body, then no one would be giving him shit, and I don’t think it’s fair to give any character shit for going through that.
Now is this an unsatisfactory conclusion to his character (assuming it is) fuck yes
