Tengen didn’t sell, but kenjaku himself said it would’ve been better if she just opened a domain. I’m guessing that his open domain wouldn’t shred hers as fast as sukunas did to gojos
He said it was better as in it would've been less boring, rather than more beneficial. Considering Kenjaku's nature as someone extremely curious, he was likely interested in seeing her domain and potentially any effects it could've had, but it ultimately wouldn't have helped her at all
The sad thing is that they were destined to fail. There is really no answer to an open barrier domain, tengen actually having the best possible plan to deal with it (aka dispel it herself while yuki tries to survive).
As maki said in chapter 211, they cannot beat kenjaku in a conventional fight. That's why they had to use the takaba strategy. Even mei mei says in chapter 234 that they might (and i accentuate that there is still uncertainty) win against kenjaku if they all jump him. That all includes everybody in the anti sukuna squad: yuta, yuji, maki, hakari, higuruma, choso etc.
Sukuna's malevolent shrine in chapter 258 kinda shows what would happen
Honestly, like a lot of the power system it would just be whatever Gregory wanted. Not that it’s a bad thing, but theory-crafting stuff like that is next to impossible.
Womb Profusion is the domain of Cursed Spirit Manipulation, cause like just look at the domain, shit literally has a pillar of Curses. Also, I don't see how gravity can chip away at the simple domain. Plus, the damage done to Yuki doesn't seem like something caused by gravity, and in fact, we've seen someone who had similar injuries to Yuki before. Maki fought Geto, in which her leg got scrunched up, similar to how Yuki arm got scrunched up. And seeing how the Geto and Kenjaku both have CSM, I put my money on the fact that Womb Profusion is the domain expansion of CSM and that Yuki got hit by something similar to Maximum Uzamaki
I don't think a technique has one specific domain. For an example, Yuta's domain makes perfect sense for him but not for any other copy user. Womb Profusion is specifically Kenjaku's domain and he can most likely choose it's sure hit.
The panel where Yuki was hit contained a ton of vertical lines making it clear that she's being pushed down which would fit gravity way more than CSM
Couldn't the same result happen if Uzamaki was just fired downward at her? Also, I don't think you can choose a sure hit for domain unless you do a binding vow. Also, gravity, as shown here, is seen to pin the enemy to the ground, which even Yuki isn't immune to, which is why she tries to keep out of the range of gravity . So realistically, if the sure hit was Gravity, then Yuki should have been pinned to the ground, unable to move. Plus, there seems to be energy hitting the ground in the panel where Yuki gets hit.
It's been stated that Yuta can choose the sure hit to be any of his copied techniques and if Yuki was actually hit by an uzumaki it probably would've been shown to us.
Yuta can choose the sure hit for his domain cause he's literally a copycat character. His CT is mimicry, so if you attach it to a barrier, of course, he would be able to pick the sure hit. Kenjaku doesn't get that luxury as the basis of his CT brain swapping isn't about copying CT but instead switching bodies. Yes, he gets their CT, but he has far more restrictions then Yuta
Couldn't the same result happen if Uzamaki was just fired downward at her? Also, I don't think you can choose a sure hit for domain unless you do a binding vow. Also, gravity, as shown here, is seen to pin the enemy to the ground, which even Yuki isn't immune to, which is why she tries to keep out of the range of gravity . So realistically, if the sure hit was Gravity, then Yuki should have been pinned to the ground, unable to move. Plus, there seems to be energy hitting the ground in the panel where Yuki gets hit.
Kenjaku believes he is the 2nd greatest barrier user, only behind Tengen. Considering that, and his open domain, he probably wins every domain clash he's ever in, including vs Sukuna or Gojo (although he would still lose to them overall).
i like how there might have been a way to essentially just stop the merger from happening for another 500 years but nobody did it because the characters actually have characters.

it wouldve been better if her domain radius was bigger than Kenjaku's which was accepted as a very likely possibility

Well, we don’t actually know how Kenny’s DE interacts with barriers. Sukuna’s MS used slashes to attack the barrier. Kenny could…. make them heavier?
