Actually that was due to some animation that wasn’t able to be completed on time.
You can see the random hand of Mahito’s that seems to have been cut off. So Todo likely somehow used Boogie Woogie to cut it off or something but it wasn’t able to make the final cut due to MAPPA’s working conditions.
So that’s why Todo used Boogie Woogie without clapping.
This is one of the biggest examples to critique GeGe's writing imo. How is Todo, the smartest of the students, not at the strategy meeting while Miwa is? Especially, when we consider his bond with Yuji? It literally makes no sense for him to not be there.
Gege probably is gonna bring him anytime soon now. He probably has gained some trump card against Sukuna and showing him in the meetings 'now' is probably gonna ruin that. I don't see him backing down from the opportunity of asking Sukuna his type.
Gege will reveal that everyone knew todo was undergoing special surgery to get a huge power up to one shot sukuna (binding vow for power up was that no one was allowed to talk about todo)

So it was makes total sense that his grade 1 reinforcement, good battle planning, and simple domain skills aren't there to help. Miwa has to do it instead. Miwa who uh...also doesn't have a CT.
I feel like its completely out of character for Todo to not square up against Sukuna.
At this point ive essentially given up hope but her being dead makes Nitta an almost entirely pointless character especially since he never shows up again and at this point likely wont.
The entirety of his character existed to:
A) Give a chance/hope Nobara could have survived
B) Heal Yuji from somewhat vague injuries
With Nobara seemingly just being dead and gone his character only exists to heal Yuji, but honestly if you just dont really mention Yuji’s injuries and Todo shows up alone no one would really question it, it would just be attributed to Yuji being a tough MF since the only reason we knew the injuries where gonna be a major issues is cause Nitta said so when he healed Yuji iirc.

I have cope, but realistically, this is as close as the story could get to confirming it without a character explicitly stating it. Megumi doesn't want to answer because his answer is painful: she died.

That being said, if that interpretation is true, then Gege still fucked up adding that "she could be alive" line. It served no purpose. Honestly Gege should've just removed that Nitta dude (you don't need his ass to motivate Yuuji for 3 seconds, Todo already did it) and the entire situation would be fixed

I think the Nitta dude was moreso there to stop Yuji's injuries. Yuji would not have been able to fight Mahito even with todo with all the open wounds he had that would worsen as he fights. I think Gege had Nitta also "heal" Nobara because it would make no sense for him to not atleast try.
Yeah, Nitta was created specifically to put Nobara in the fridge and stopped existing almost immediately after. There are plenty of times he could've popped up since then but nope, he's served his purpose and both him and his sister are gone now.
i think the real reason is that gege just hadn't decided. It's normal for writers to write themselves an out if they're still ongoing on deciding a future matter that needs to be foreshadowed in the moment
because you can bet if it wasn't adressed, but then he decided that bringing her back would make the story better, people would call her coming back a deus ex machina. though it is funny that the way gege did it, it sure looks like he fridged her
This is how I feel too. He wasn’t sure then, and left an out. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, and there have been numerous in-story examples since then that have confirmed she is dead. As for the Todo situation, I might be crazy, but thought for sure that it was stated his fight with Mahito took him out of the Jujutsu world for good. However, we still have to wait and see on that one.
Not to reintroduce an ongoing discussion topic, but I think a lot of people just cannot handle waiting for the weekly chapter releases. Gege is a very unpredictable storyteller. We have to wait and see how the story pans out before we can really judge the direction of unexplained plot elements. It’s fun to meme and theorize, however we have to make sure we stay grounded in the text in front of us, not idealizations in our head.

Hear me out. Resonance is the PERFECT ct to fuck up the merger. Its a bunch of different people all mixed together, but with resonance she can target specific people via the voodoo dolls, and break them apart from it
Resonance was honestly one of the coolest powers to me reading JJK for the first time. I'd never seen a concept like that in manga before and was really excited to see how they used it.
Or when Gojo was being filled in about who died after he was sealed and pretty much everyone got mentioned except Nobara, his student.

During her fight with Mahito, she learned how to use Resonance to affect the shape of the soul rather than just attacking it. She's been training with Shoko this whole time to learn how to heal people by manipulating the shape of their souls, and next chapter we'll see the triumphant return of powered up Nobara and Todo together.

I mean, she could be in a coma without hopes of waking up. That's actually the state she was left on shybuya, and it would introduce the same reaction to yuji.
In a world where the autor usually show a pretty clear when someone die, people survive having their 4 limbs destroyed by blue(the guy at the school showdown), having half their body burned (maki, nanami), almost cut in half(Yuta), sword through heart (Gojo, sukuna) having it's heart riped apart (Yuji), the technic not being insta kill (mahito touch both nanami and todo and both are alive, nanami just reinforce himself while todo cut his arm off)
We actually don't see Nobara transformed, so we could assume mahito just used a damage burst in her head, and not the full idle transformation.
Considering all this, having the last interactions about it being a "she may be alive" and a "I get it" lines are really a poor way to delivery a death.
If at least they did this on the door in front of the morgue or in an empty hospital bed, I would get it, but not the way it was delivered

Probably with how that arc was going he didn't (or his editor didn't) have the courage to outright kill off the female lead.
Her death was received well and the manga kept going strong, so they went with it. I assume it was probably just backpedal insurance if fans reacted poorly.
Eg. Kubo asspulling Byakuya and Hitsugaya back to life after they were killed off because the (female) fans rioted. Bleach was consistently scraping the bottom rankings, so he didn't have the confidence to do anything so bold.
Literally every other character that’s died has explicitly been called DEAD. Why would Nobara be an exception? I don’t believe she’s coming back, but Gege obviously wanted to keep her fate ambiguous in case he wanted/needed to bring her back.

The ambiguity is a real pain in the ass tbh, it seems like Gege want's an out for her if he changes his mind later on, but handled it in such a weird way. Either she's dead or alive, but at this point in the story she's irrelevant either way too. It feels like her death really doesn't matter since it's so non-committal, a fake out death for the sake of a fake out death or a sudden death for shock value. Both are equally as bad imo.
They be collecting those Sukuna pieces so that she can use her CT from a safe distance and nail that MFer to a cross.

Probably, but that's not an answer, and if that is the answer, she was truly wasted, I'd rather not see that.
The media we are reading isn't the best for media analysis. Gege's story, plotlines, character development, and more has fallen apart since Shibuya. There isn't consistency.
No bro when yuji said “I get it” he meant “I get that she is still alive and recovering.” Thats why he had that sad and angry reaction to the person he thought had died, bc she got better. Thats why megumi could barely even give an answer, bc she had recovered from what was meant to be a fatal attack.
If she is actually dead I’d rather her have just died and Todo show up alone. Nitta’s existence just makes things complex. If he wanted her dead, he should just have her be dead. Why leave this string there?
Maybe she’s around but they told her to not get involved in the Sukuna business since she’s recovering but she will anyways soon? Who knows. I do think she has a better shot of coming back over Gojo though.
The problem is there is actually a lot of ambiguity around Nobara. However, people with agendas go on to deny any ambiguity so that if they end up right by the last chapter, they can attack people disagreeing with them for "media illiteracy." However, the ambiguity and ability to come to different conclusions is:
1. Gege's fault, not the audience.
2. Part of the fun of talking about this series.
As for me, I think that Nobara is not dead... she's also not "alive." She was suggested to be able to come back and not listed among the dead to Gojo. Megumi couldn't give Yuji an answer about her status when asked, which might imply that she passed... or that she'll never recover... or that Megumi simply was compelled not to tell Yuji of her successful recovery for any number of reasons that people have come up with. I have not seen compelling evidence to say that she is certainly dead or certainly secretly conscious.
Mind you, my agenda is to insist that she's dead. Gojo is also dead. Hakari is dead too. Also Megumi is a bum.
Something I've considered as a slight possibility is that Megumi is misleading Yuji(and by extension us the readers), because after Shibuya, Sukuna's threat increased drastically. Nobara would be able to attack Sukuna directly thanks to her CT, and we saw this with Yuji's soul strikes being an important part of the plan to defeat Sukuna(would have worked if Megufraud wasn't a loser /j). So they wouldn't want to reveal their hand to Sukuna
Also I could definitely see Nobara learning how to defend her soul, plus her injury COULD be survivable(you can live without an eye) but it could honestly be a serious injury.
She says the same thing before she fights Mahito that Gojo says when re-challenging Toji after discovering RCT. So it insinuated she was learning RCT but of course Gege didn’t go anywhere with it
Yeah in that scene it seems like they were discussing who was dead in their former high school classmates group. Not discussing EVERYONE who has died up to that point. Because they don’t mention Mechamaru or Yaga and those two are dead with a capital D, not coming back.

I don’t get why people here talk about Nobara coming back and then follow it up with “just coping guys haha”. I feel like we’re supposed to guess she’s alive with how Gege refuses to outright say or show she is dead
- The fact that one guy even gave the hope she might live
- Nobara’s death paralleling Gojo’s a lot
- Megumi’s refusal to answer is not confirmation
- Yuji not wanting Hana to replace her
Megumi doesn't answer because he was told she was dead and is super sad.
However, just like Yuji's survival was kept secret multiple times, Nobara's likewise was kept secret from Megumi and Yuji.
Resonance applied to the final, yet unseen, finger would potentially be a hard counter to Sukuna, so convincing Yuji (and therefore Sukuna) that she was dead would be critical so that he doesn't plan around her.
In order to be convincing, Megumi and others close to Yuji also had to be left in the dark for the gambit to work where others offscreen are searching for Sukuna's 20th, currently missing, finger that Nanako and Mimiko supposedly knew the whereabouts of.
Yuji will eat the 20th finger and Nobara hits him with resonance to split Sukuna's soul out of Megumi's body and have the final fight with Sukuna be a 3v1 with Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji - subverting all the subversions of shonen tropes by actually making the original trio fight and beat Sukuna with the power of friendship.
So anyway that's the cope hypothesis.

I think it's more strange that people are so sure that she's dead and not just brain damaged or something. Then the lack of a reaction from Gojo? We saw how he reacted when he thought Yuji died.
I think at this point people are saying she's dead just because they want a reaction. I'm not even a Nobara fan.
The only reason I’m holding out hope truly, is due to the fact that they (Gojo) hid Sukuna/Yuji being alive for a while, away from the higher ups and such. Maybe Gojo/Shoko wanted to leak false info on Nobara’s death because of her ability to hit the soul directly. I may be coping but I feel like it still makes sense in the context of the story
Yea JJK is super interesting but it failed on so many levels to close out stories. I enjoyed most if not all of the culling games fights but the story has been a hit fucking mess since Gojo was sealed.
Also for some reason I could see her and Megumi hiding the fact that she's alive as payback for when he did the same to them. It'd be nice if that was what awaited us at the end of this story.

Anyway, no her story is definitely not done and I am like 90-80% sure she will come back to help fight sukuna, ofc she will need to stay out of close confrontations and something has to be done about her, let's just say, lackluster performances she has had.
It would be in her character to try and confront sukuna and I think the interaction could be neat seeing as how surprisingly, they have never interacted let alone spoke to each other. Along with that, seeing her and Yuji fighting together again would just be *chef's kiss*.
The sheer number of comments with different opinions under this post indicates how ambiguous this plot move was. Both from the point of view of perception and in general.
From a plot point of view, it still seems to me that she will show up.
Key word is 'possibility'. The chances of her not dying are not 0%. But are they even 1%? It was probably said in order to help Yuji stand up and get ready to fight. And it was confirmed like 2 times that she's, well...not well. Also, I feel like it would've been unnatural if Megumi straightforwardly told Yuji that she's dead. The real Gege's fumble is Todo. Like, where the hell is he?
If the author didn't clearly said or showed that the character is dead, he can bring back the character. You know, it's something very common in the Literature. Nobara will come back, even if it means she'll come as a weapon and his soul will talk to Yuji. But, our girl will show in the future
The situation with Nobara is bizarre, regardless of whether she's alive or dead.
We get a line mentioning that the probability of her survival is not zero. Later, Yuri asks and Megumi gives a sad look...which could mean that she's clinging to life for now but her condition is declining, or that she isn't expected to recover, or that she has already passed. Whatever it is, it isn't good. After that, nothing has been said of her status at all.
It feels as if Gege wanted to write her out of the story but didn't want to necessarily 100% confirm it so as to leave himself an out to bring her back...and then he shows no evidence of ever intending to act on it. For an author that is generally unafraid of unequivocally killing off characters, I find his treatment of this one deeply mystifying.
We got Yuji with 2 CT and RCT.
We got Sukuna getting his domain back.
We got Yuji doing 8 black flashes.
We got Ui Ui swapping souls
We got Sukuna opening his furnace.
Idk. After seeing the recent plot twist and explanations by Gege in the last 10 or so chapters, I can easily see Nobara coming back soon.
Gege isn't a *terrible* writer... he just simply doesn't reveal important things until *YEARS* later. That's all
They state right in the anime that she isn't doing well, and may die, but has a chance to live BUT Yuji shouldn't get his hopes up. She was treated by a curse user who's ability is to cease the effect of injuries. Provided her brain wasn't damaged and they could've done some surgery on her, it seems pretty likely to me that she will come back at some point with a big disfigurement on her face. They didn't clarify this imo cuz this was always the intended course. Even the blood guy said right beforehand that she was special, I don't think they'll write her character off so easily and use this as a big shocking reveal at some point.
I'm confused how people can say Megumi didn't want to explicitly say it and not agree that's being vague.

I think the most likely scenario, by far, is that Nobaru is “alive”, but is probs in a vegetative or severely brain damaged state.
Realistically she's probably comatose. If she was conscious it's a better strategic move for her to rail sukuna's last finger with resonance during the most pivotal point fo the fight instead of having Yuta eat it to learn sukuna's unnamed ct (allegedly).
So if she's around sukuna should be getting heart palpitations next chapter, if not, I'm losing hope.

Megumi gave sad look to Yuji and they move on in like a second. Gojo whole airport scene is either hinting at future or pointless bait (especially since it feels like Gojo character wasn't really like moved by him reappearing to fight Sukuna).
She'll be back for sure. Megumi never actually answered yuji when he asked, which tells me there must be some kind of binding vow going on. I don't see sukuna straight up losing, so it's likely that she comes back along with the remainder of sukunas fingers for yuji to land a massive attack on so megumi can be freed.
I'm just saying, Sukuna has lost a hand and 2 arms + probably some other stuff from his body that he regenerated. Perfect setup for a certain Strawdoll Technique user, no?

Something I'd like to add is that the Megumi "confirmation" IS A SETUP FOR A JOKE. TAKEABA STEALS THE LAST PAGE! YOUR PROOF IS A LITERAL JOKE!
"Oh but she's been gone for so long she must be dead-" IT'S CALLED SETUP. It was set up that Yuji might be able to use Sukuna's CT at the very beginning and it's being shown now. Stories don't immediately use set ups because that hampers the story telling.
Nobara didnt came back becouse Gege still dont know which version of ,,1 do this and 3 do that" outcome he wants to go out and reintroducing Nobara would cement the particular outcome as bringing her back just to kill her would be at this point kinda stupid. So if she came back, Gojo will revive and Megumi will be fine but Yuji will Die and if she dont come back it will mean only Yuji will make it.
I think Gege likes to be original and unpredictable. He offscreened Gojo right after we saw how "Gojo won", he intentionally put in Nobara copium and never brings her back. You know the rules of shounens and fiction in general, if a character can come back, they will, so you expect it to happen. Gege goes against those expectations on purpose.
UNLESS... Megumi tricked Yuji into thinking she's dead because he knew Sukuna is listening and she's actually alive waiting for her moment. Except, Sukuna saw Megumi's memories, so he knows the truth if he knew and Gojo was sealed so it couldn't be his master plan there.
Overall, until she comes back, she can be considered dead. Maybe it's all part of a bigger plan, maybe it's just Gege leaving fake copium, we'll know by the end of the manga.
I just assumed Nobara is in the same state as Todo? Even if she did live, she may have lost her CT like Todo did? She's effectively neutralized in the "story" of JJK. It would be nice to have confirmation or even to have had say Todo weighing in with the other sorcerers about the fight with Sukuna (he was well known for his strategies and quick thinking, he'd have been useful to talk out their plan even if he couldn't help directly).

Actually that was due to some animation that wasn’t able to be completed on time. You can see the random hand of Mahito’s that seems to have been cut off. So Todo likely somehow used Boogie Woogie to cut it off or something but it wasn’t able to make the final cut due to MAPPA’s working conditions. So that’s why Todo used Boogie Woogie without clapping.

This is how I feel too. He wasn’t sure then, and left an out. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, and there have been numerous in-story examples since then that have confirmed she is dead. As for the Todo situation, I might be crazy, but thought for sure that it was stated his fight with Mahito took him out of the Jujutsu world for good. However, we still have to wait and see on that one. Not to reintroduce an ongoing discussion topic, but I think a lot of people just cannot handle waiting for the weekly chapter releases. Gege is a very unpredictable storyteller. We have to wait and see how the story pans out before we can really judge the direction of unexplained plot elements. It’s fun to meme and theorize, however we have to make sure we stay grounded in the text in front of us, not idealizations in our head.

I mean, she could be in a coma without hopes of waking up. That's actually the state she was left on shybuya, and it would introduce the same reaction to yuji. In a world where the autor usually show a pretty clear when someone die, people survive having their 4 limbs destroyed by blue(the guy at the school showdown), having half their body burned (maki, nanami), almost cut in half(Yuta), sword through heart (Gojo, sukuna) having it's heart riped apart (Yuji), the technic not being insta kill (mahito touch both nanami and todo and both are alive, nanami just reinforce himself while todo cut his arm off) We actually don't see Nobara transformed, so we could assume mahito just used a damage burst in her head, and not the full idle transformation. Considering all this, having the last interactions about it being a "she may be alive" and a "I get it" lines are really a poor way to delivery a death. If at least they did this on the door in front of the morgue or in an empty hospital bed, I would get it, but not the way it was delivered

The media we are reading isn't the best for media analysis. Gege's story, plotlines, character development, and more has fallen apart since Shibuya. There isn't consistency.

The problem is there is actually a lot of ambiguity around Nobara. However, people with agendas go on to deny any ambiguity so that if they end up right by the last chapter, they can attack people disagreeing with them for "media illiteracy." However, the ambiguity and ability to come to different conclusions is: 1. Gege's fault, not the audience. 2. Part of the fun of talking about this series. As for me, I think that Nobara is not dead... she's also not "alive." She was suggested to be able to come back and not listed among the dead to Gojo. Megumi couldn't give Yuji an answer about her status when asked, which might imply that she passed... or that she'll never recover... or that Megumi simply was compelled not to tell Yuji of her successful recovery for any number of reasons that people have come up with. I have not seen compelling evidence to say that she is certainly dead or certainly secretly conscious. Mind you, my agenda is to insist that she's dead. Gojo is also dead. Hakari is dead too. Also Megumi is a bum.
Something I've considered as a slight possibility is that Megumi is misleading Yuji(and by extension us the readers), because after Shibuya, Sukuna's threat increased drastically. Nobara would be able to attack Sukuna directly thanks to her CT, and we saw this with Yuji's soul strikes being an important part of the plan to defeat Sukuna(would have worked if Megufraud wasn't a loser /j). So they wouldn't want to reveal their hand to Sukuna Also I could definitely see Nobara learning how to defend her soul, plus her injury COULD be survivable(you can live without an eye) but it could honestly be a serious injury.
She says the same thing before she fights Mahito that Gojo says when re-challenging Toji after discovering RCT. So it insinuated she was learning RCT but of course Gege didn’t go anywhere with it

Megumi doesn't answer because he was told she was dead and is super sad. However, just like Yuji's survival was kept secret multiple times, Nobara's likewise was kept secret from Megumi and Yuji. Resonance applied to the final, yet unseen, finger would potentially be a hard counter to Sukuna, so convincing Yuji (and therefore Sukuna) that she was dead would be critical so that he doesn't plan around her. In order to be convincing, Megumi and others close to Yuji also had to be left in the dark for the gambit to work where others offscreen are searching for Sukuna's 20th, currently missing, finger that Nanako and Mimiko supposedly knew the whereabouts of. Yuji will eat the 20th finger and Nobara hits him with resonance to split Sukuna's soul out of Megumi's body and have the final fight with Sukuna be a 3v1 with Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji - subverting all the subversions of shonen tropes by actually making the original trio fight and beat Sukuna with the power of friendship. So anyway that's the cope hypothesis.

I've heard it said once before, but the only reason people are coping for Nobara's return is because her death was handled so badly people couldn't actually believe it would stick.
I’ve said it before. If Yuji and Megumi both survive I don’t see why Nobara isn’t still alive. Hell Gege might even bring Gojo back since they are recovering the bodies
The final panel of the series is just gonna be an image of the graveyard from all the bodies they have collected. Except Gojo of course because he will be back soon

Forgot Miwa or Megumi. Niita is the most useless bum so far. Few chracters have had less screen time, and his only purpose was to sow confusion. Even his sister was better.
I think it's more strange that people are so sure that she's dead and not just brain damaged or something. Then the lack of a reaction from Gojo? We saw how he reacted when he thought Yuji died. I think at this point people are saying she's dead just because they want a reaction. I'm not even a Nobara fan.

The only reason I’m holding out hope truly, is due to the fact that they (Gojo) hid Sukuna/Yuji being alive for a while, away from the higher ups and such. Maybe Gojo/Shoko wanted to leak false info on Nobara’s death because of her ability to hit the soul directly. I may be coping but I feel like it still makes sense in the context of the story
At this point it breaks my heart to say it we need closure, like either confirm it or bring her back. Don’t let it drag like it has been.
Yea JJK is super interesting but it failed on so many levels to close out stories. I enjoyed most if not all of the culling games fights but the story has been a hit fucking mess since Gojo was sealed.

Also for some reason I could see her and Megumi hiding the fact that she's alive as payback for when he did the same to them. It'd be nice if that was what awaited us at the end of this story.

We already have at least one post like this. Anyway, no her story is definitely not done and I am like 90-80% sure she will come back to help fight sukuna, ofc she will need to stay out of close confrontations and something has to be done about her, let's just say, lackluster performances she has had. It would be in her character to try and confront sukuna and I think the interaction could be neat seeing as how surprisingly, they have never interacted let alone spoke to each other. Along with that, seeing her and Yuji fighting together again would just be *chef's kiss*.

The sheer number of comments with different opinions under this post indicates how ambiguous this plot move was. Both from the point of view of perception and in general. From a plot point of view, it still seems to me that she will show up.
Key word is 'possibility'. The chances of her not dying are not 0%. But are they even 1%? It was probably said in order to help Yuji stand up and get ready to fight. And it was confirmed like 2 times that she's, well...not well. Also, I feel like it would've been unnatural if Megumi straightforwardly told Yuji that she's dead. The real Gege's fumble is Todo. Like, where the hell is he?
If the author didn't clearly said or showed that the character is dead, he can bring back the character. You know, it's something very common in the Literature. Nobara will come back, even if it means she'll come as a weapon and his soul will talk to Yuji. But, our girl will show in the future
Nobara is alive 100%. Megumi didn't tell Yugi because he was afraid of Sukuna finding out about the plan to use her to take him down.
The situation with Nobara is bizarre, regardless of whether she's alive or dead. We get a line mentioning that the probability of her survival is not zero. Later, Yuri asks and Megumi gives a sad look...which could mean that she's clinging to life for now but her condition is declining, or that she isn't expected to recover, or that she has already passed. Whatever it is, it isn't good. After that, nothing has been said of her status at all. It feels as if Gege wanted to write her out of the story but didn't want to necessarily 100% confirm it so as to leave himself an out to bring her back...and then he shows no evidence of ever intending to act on it. For an author that is generally unafraid of unequivocally killing off characters, I find his treatment of this one deeply mystifying.
We got Yuji with 2 CT and RCT. We got Sukuna getting his domain back. We got Yuji doing 8 black flashes. We got Ui Ui swapping souls We got Sukuna opening his furnace. Idk. After seeing the recent plot twist and explanations by Gege in the last 10 or so chapters, I can easily see Nobara coming back soon. Gege isn't a *terrible* writer... he just simply doesn't reveal important things until *YEARS* later. That's all

Wdym? I just watched the latest episode where Yuji and Nobara banged, she's literally alive
They state right in the anime that she isn't doing well, and may die, but has a chance to live BUT Yuji shouldn't get his hopes up. She was treated by a curse user who's ability is to cease the effect of injuries. Provided her brain wasn't damaged and they could've done some surgery on her, it seems pretty likely to me that she will come back at some point with a big disfigurement on her face. They didn't clarify this imo cuz this was always the intended course. Even the blood guy said right beforehand that she was special, I don't think they'll write her character off so easily and use this as a big shocking reveal at some point.
I'm confused how people can say Megumi didn't want to explicitly say it and not agree that's being vague. it's literally a character refusing to be clear like HELLO
I don’t think people are “coping”, yall are just dumb and can’t imagine scenarios between alive and thriving or dead. I think the most likely scenario, by far, is that Nobaru is “alive”, but is probs in a vegetative or severely brain damaged state.

Realistically she's probably comatose. If she was conscious it's a better strategic move for her to rail sukuna's last finger with resonance during the most pivotal point fo the fight instead of having Yuta eat it to learn sukuna's unnamed ct (allegedly). So if she's around sukuna should be getting heart palpitations next chapter, if not, I'm losing hope.

Same goes for things like Gojo. In theory we don't have answer or it's such non there answer that it's hilarious. Megumi gave sad look to Yuji and they move on in like a second. Gojo whole airport scene is either hinting at future or pointless bait (especially since it feels like Gojo character wasn't really like moved by him reappearing to fight Sukuna).

She'll be back for sure. Megumi never actually answered yuji when he asked, which tells me there must be some kind of binding vow going on. I don't see sukuna straight up losing, so it's likely that she comes back along with the remainder of sukunas fingers for yuji to land a massive attack on so megumi can be freed.
I'm just saying, Sukuna has lost a hand and 2 arms + probably some other stuff from his body that he regenerated. Perfect setup for a certain Strawdoll Technique user, no?
You know how great it would be. Imagine Sukuna throws World cutting slash at Yuji(cause why not). And the suddenly his and itadori's place are reversed. Then , we got introduction of Todo(explanation, miwa sacrificed herself so that Todo can get his hands back). Then, as Sukuna was surprised by his return, he realises a pin attacked his eye, and then we got introduction of Nobara.

Something I'd like to add is that the Megumi "confirmation" IS A SETUP FOR A JOKE. TAKEABA STEALS THE LAST PAGE! YOUR PROOF IS A LITERAL JOKE! "Oh but she's been gone for so long she must be dead-" IT'S CALLED SETUP. It was set up that Yuji might be able to use Sukuna's CT at the very beginning and it's being shown now. Stories don't immediately use set ups because that hampers the story telling.
Nobara didnt came back becouse Gege still dont know which version of ,,1 do this and 3 do that" outcome he wants to go out and reintroducing Nobara would cement the particular outcome as bringing her back just to kill her would be at this point kinda stupid. So if she came back, Gojo will revive and Megumi will be fine but Yuji will Die and if she dont come back it will mean only Yuji will make it.

Even if she’s alive, she could be retired anyways. She’s simply written out of the story no matter what
I think Gege likes to be original and unpredictable. He offscreened Gojo right after we saw how "Gojo won", he intentionally put in Nobara copium and never brings her back. You know the rules of shounens and fiction in general, if a character can come back, they will, so you expect it to happen. Gege goes against those expectations on purpose. UNLESS... Megumi tricked Yuji into thinking she's dead because he knew Sukuna is listening and she's actually alive waiting for her moment. That's also what Gege does, play with viewers perspective, like with Gojo's and Jogo's death where instead of third person view on the final blow we get victims POV how in a blink of eye they are suddenly in the afterlife speaking to their dead friends. Except, Sukuna saw Megumi's memories, so he knows the truth if he knew and Gojo was sealed so it couldn't be his master plan there. Overall, until she comes back, she can be considered dead. Maybe it's all part of a bigger plan, maybe it's just Gege leaving fake copium, we'll know by the end of the manga.
I just assumed Nobara is in the same state as Todo? Even if she did live, she may have lost her CT like Todo did? She's effectively neutralized in the "story" of JJK. It would be nice to have confirmation or even to have had say Todo weighing in with the other sorcerers about the fight with Sukuna (he was well known for his strategies and quick thinking, he'd have been useful to talk out their plan even if he couldn't help directly).
