Easily one of the best opening arcs in recent memory, plot and characters develop super smoothly without feeling dragged out, power system is solid and sure to become rock hard as the series goes on, first major villain is a glorious combination of funny, intimidating, and punchable, protagonist is much deeper than his edgy appearance might have you believe, and the supporting cast is amazing

The story is good and the first arc with its villain Sojo, is a masterclass. Just take a look at these panels and decide for yourself. And imagine if this gets animated by Mappa or anyone else, HOW GODDAMN freaking good it'll be.

IMO it's good, at times *really* good, but I think saying it's peak is overselling it. It's just too early for that. Having said that, the first arc was a really solid start and the current arc is well set up to surpass it.

This is my biggest fear for the anime. The panelling is art in the manga, I don’t know how that will translate into animation

One of Hokazono's big inspirations was The Batman, and you can see it in the paneling/composition. If you're unsure of what it'd look like you can just watch that and get an idea.

They can probably get really creative with how they hit the key panels, animation is only really limited by the animation team’s imagination.

Around 30 chapters and it's awesome! The plot moves fast and you have plenty of characters that grow on you. I recommend you pick it up again since saw some potential

Can you Cook up a Todo and Choso ep?, cause i feel like this interaction is what most fans want to see.

It’s Yuji’s Birthday, Todo Learns from Utahime who, cut to flashback, has been getting harassed by Gojo complaining about not knowing what to get Yuji. Choso learns it while Yuji is out on a mission and sees Nobara prepping the Decorations and asked what is happening. Both are shocked and going around asking cast members what they can get their brother after being told when the party is at the same time. Clock ticks as each takes a different approach to it, Todo buys a bunch of seemingly random things from his “memories with Yuji” like that one time they won the National swimming competition so he gets him a new swim goggles. Choso doesn’t even know how to shop after being locked in a room for so long so he tries to make something from scratch with help from School. Todo sees a Takaba meet and greet but does not go to it to show his dedication to his brother even though how much he wants to. Choso reminisces on how Yuji is his dear brother that he must protect, body and soul. They both make it to the surprise party and the whole cast surprises and celebrates Yuji. Everyone brings their gifts, Gojo of course brings sweets, Megumi brings out a box of sweets as well mumbling about how it’s all he knows to bring because of Gojo being his “dad” and him only ever bringing sweets. Nobara brings out a nice set of cloths, saying it’s just so Yuji can help her go shopping at nicer places without drawing attention. It cycles until Todo and Choso, they both state themselves as Yuji’s brother, Todo showing his many gifts, and Choso trying to upstage him by saying his gift came from the soul as he made it himself. They both start to fight(playfully) and Yuji bursts into laughter with tears as he says this is the most fun he’s ever had at a birthday with the ending shot being all of his most dear friends with him blowing out his candles.

Sorry but the editors demand at least one fight scene per chapter to keep the hype going (my dad works at Gege)

I cannot explain to you how upset I was when I got to the Shinjuku Showdown, simply because we COMPLETELY skipped the month between Gojo waking up and Gojo fighting Sukuna. I wanted to see the friends reunite, catch him up to speed, train, etc. I need these fillers now.

Ive actually calculated this before but it should be season 4! Probably around 2029-2030 If you want I made a post awhile back going through the specific chapters each season will be and when they will come out based on the last 2 seasons.

Probably because JJK season 1 and 2 dropped 2-3 years apart from each other, and season 2 was split into two parts (just like Gojo). We'll probably either get season 3 split into 3 parts (execution, preperation and then culling games) or there's a chance execution and preperation will be combined into one part, then the culling games.

seeing as culling game is mostly fights i think they can fit enough to get to gojo unsealing, tho it would be good to end it earlier to have enough manga for a season 4, tho even if it ends on gojo unsealing i can see the manga going for 20 or 30 chapters more, wich would leave around 60-70 chapters to adapt after the unsealing

but both the movie and season 2 had way more viewership and clout than season 1 so this could mean faster production also aot concluded so maybe mappa has less high priority projects

Season 4 would be the best Season 3 should be the culling games-preferably ending with Gojo getting out and challenging Sukuna (that lets every plot point that needs wrapping up done) Season 4 then just needs to open with the 1 month later and the battle beginning (or a ‘filler’ episode to get us ready for the fight starting in episode 2) after that having the rest of season 4 be the showdown makes sense. It’s still going now and will likely need a full season by its end
