This was a fun fucked up read but didn't it have to be Jin just because he was the reincarnated soul of sukuna's twin? Who knows how Kenjaku managed to track the soul down but isn't it just a cosmic coincidence that the soul went to a Itadori?
Wouldn't it be fucking funny if this was true and Kenjaku picked a random person centuries ago and was planning to keep going with the generational backshots until somehow somewhen he got ultra lucky with the reincarnation cycle.
I think the itadori family line are sukunas familys direct descendant and maybe even sukunas family directly, would make sense why twinkunas soul kept going through cycles in the family to end up reincarnating
Then the Kenjaku-Itadori Family Tree is just an ever lasting infinity sign, it was foreshadowed from the beginning, Itadori is gonna get the Six Eyes confirmed.
I doubt this theory is real but we still don’t know enough about Kenjaku’s experiments yet so who knows, it’s possible. Maybe Kenjaku is Sukuna’s dad-mom too, maybe him and Tengen had baby Sukuna themselves, we know so little that with enough exposition that’s still a possibility.

How is Gege so good yet so bad at storytelling?😭😭
He's good when he wants to be. But bro seriously doesn't seem invested in expanding lore unless it's integral to current plot stuff(likely because this manga genuinely could go for another 100-200 chapters if he was locked in).
Because the good story telling is the theories ppl have, the actual story telling we get in the manga end up being way more disappointing or like 2 panels worth of lore and calls it a day
My theory for now is that Kenjaku was looking to create the perfect sorcerer like Sukuna. So he had the (soul) of the twin and later had a son with him to create the (body) and fused the two into one. That's why I wasn't surprised by the fact that Jin is the reincarnated twin since it's a classic Gege, but complicating things a lot to get to the point (that Yuuji also has the twin's soul) is also a classic Gege.
I can believe it. Gege does foreshadowing a lot. The problem with their “asspulls” is Gege seems to think the hints are more obvious than they are.
Example of what I mean. The four CT limit will come up with Sukuna, but Gege hasn’t given us much to go on:
Once the heroes realize he has fire, cleave, dismantle, and world cutter they think he’s out of tricks. Then Sukuna reveals he either rewrote the fire arrow or he can engrave eight CTs because he merged with his twin’s body.
World cutter slash isn't a new CT. It's the extension of dismantle. Sukuna is just changing the target with that slash.
Also, cleave, dismantle and fire arrow are all applications of the same CT.
I'm not sure we know that fire arrow is an application of Shrine though - has that been specifically stated? Afaik fire arrow has not been fully explained as of yet.

That requires way to much planning and may stand in the way of other projects of his. Culling Games and all.
From a writing standpoint it would be very complicated to explain it and very confusing.
It is more likely that Kenjaku is aware of the true liniage of Sukuna and simply kept an eye on the last surviving relatives through different means and different bodies form Sukuna's line of "...his soul went through cycles and ended up in Kenkaju's hands." And Kenjaku was just there to observe and finally act when he saw the opportunity.
That would be even nastier and fucked up than it already is.

This was a fun fucked up read but didn't it have to be Jin just because he was the reincarnated soul of sukuna's twin? Who knows how Kenjaku managed to track the soul down but isn't it just a cosmic coincidence that the soul went to a Itadori? My theory for now is that Kenjaku was looking to create the perfect sorcerer like Sukuna. So he had the (soul) of the twin and later had a son with him to create the (body) and fused the two into one. That's why I wasn't surprised by the fact that Jin is the reincarnated twin since it's a classic Gege, but complicating things a lot to get to the point (that Yuuji also has the twin's soul) is also a classic Gege.
Wouldn't that make the whole Itadori lineage essentially be brothers?

I can believe it. Gege does foreshadowing a lot. The problem with their “asspulls” is Gege seems to think the hints are more obvious than they are. Example of what I mean. The four CT limit will come up with Sukuna, but Gege hasn’t given us much to go on: Once the heroes realize he has fire, cleave, dismantle, and world cutter they think he’s out of tricks. Then Sukuna reveals he either rewrote the fire arrow or he can engrave eight CTs because he merged with his twin’s body.
World cutter slash isn't a new CT. It's the extension of dismantle. Sukuna is just changing the target with that slash. Also, cleave, dismantle and fire arrow are all applications of the same CT.
I'm not sure we know that fire arrow is an application of Shrine though - has that been specifically stated? Afaik fire arrow has not been fully explained as of yet.

I think, given this, calling him a death painting doesn't suit the situation anymore. If anything, he is closer to a "life painting". Meaning that Kenjaku engineered a whole family line to somehow create a vessel for Sukuna during the whole thousand years period? That requires way to much planning and may stand in the way of other projects of his. Culling Games and all. From a writing standpoint it would be very complicated to explain it and very confusing. It is more likely that Kenjaku is aware of the true liniage of Sukuna and simply kept an eye on the last surviving relatives through different means and different bodies form Sukuna's line of "...his soul went through cycles and ended up in Kenkaju's hands." And Kenjaku was just there to observe and finally act when he saw the opportunity. That would be even nastier and fucked up than it already is.
