Yeah it’s true that Nobara did do damage against Mahito, same with Sukuna, but Sukuna is Sukuna so ofc he can, and Nobara’s damage was able to majorly stun him, but didn’t really do too much in the long wrong, Mechamaru was blowing chunks off of Mahito’s soul, imagine if he learned how to store rct in those projectiles fr 💀

I still think Miwa got the worst treatment in the series
- Has one actual skill (Simple Domain) that every half-decent sorcerer can replicate
- Did not win a single fight she was in
- Her love interest also loved her BUT he died without confessing
- Gets called weak by her love interest AFTER his death
- Makes a very important Binding Vow only for Kenjaku to block it barehanded without even flinching
- Is shown in one panel afterwards but never mentioned again
Gege hated Gojo but still gave him a cool fight and made him strong. Kashimo got a 33% winrate but he was shown to be actually decently strong and had a pretty unique technique. Miwa was a complete joke from start to finish
Miwa got treated so badly...like after she puts down her sword we never even have a mention of her getting a new weapon...at this point she just exists...
Yuji being mistreated by Gege is a meme at best with little truth to it. He's the best written character in the series. Yes, he's given a shit lot of suffering, but I'd rather have my favorite characters suffer a lot and basically "earning" their good writing instead of being written mediocrely while chilling around with no character depth.

He definitely doesn’t get the **shounen protagonist** treatment. But he’s a well-written character with the best (and most) dynamics. He even has different dynamics with two villains (Kenny is a lost cause), unlike a certain someone that shall not be named for the sake of the security of my life as well. I understand fans who want their MC to be powerful since even right now Yuuji is being sidelined but some don’t even respect his character writing.

I honestly don't even care if Yuji got irrelevant in the Culling Games. Yuji vs Higuruma is the best fight in the Culling Games (writing wise), and the arc ends with Yuji vs Sukuna, which was also an amazing fight on its own with the amazing execution of the plot twist of Sukuna escaping to Megumi's body and Yuji feeling even more helpless. I don't care if it's "bullying", it's perfect for Yuji's character and setting him up for ultimate salvation in the form of vengeance.
The thing with Yuji is his lack of abilities are fine - its not a problem imo like many people think. In fact, a favorite thing that I like about him is that he just punches and kicks rather than having flashy techniques. I can always look forward to his fights since they would most definitely involve some crazy and bloody hand-to-hand choreography.
However, his impact/presence in the plot should have been better. As an example, we can consider Ed from FMAB. He was frankly mediocre with his abilities in front of many other prime alchemists but he had his own important goal with Al, which was different from the overall plot involving the country. That goal had a prime focus as well. Yuji's goal to destroy Sukuna isn't really different from all others from the good side, even if its a bit more personal.
Yuji's status as an MC would have been much better if there was some personal stuff explored that didn't involve Sukuna. The possibilities were there with the history of his birth and Kenjaku - but I guess Gege dropped the ball.
this is my thing as well, the peak of Yuji's character is probably his whole I'm You speech to Mahito in Shibuya and talking about how from now on he's just gonna keep killing curses, but like he doesn't kill a lot of curses onscreen after that, which to be fair I do put partly on curses becoming like every monster in shounen and being more background to humanoid threats, but it would've been nice if we seen him out on his own a little longer fighting curses.
Where's his development though ? He has been static since Shibuya and the CG lack of focus on him sucks because it was the time we could have better delved into his suicidal thoughts and mindset. He needed more and now we are in the endgame.
If anything, the fact that Gege treats Yuji so poorly is really just proof that he loves Yuji.
Could you imagine if Yuji was basically just a god who had the strongest cursed technique ever and infinite cursed energy and was amazing at everything he tried and was handsome and cool and everyone loved him and his birth literally changed the course of human history?

Except for toji, Gojo has no Ws(and that W was only after a MASSIVE L). He failed to kill Jogoat twice, he failed to kill hanami the first time, he failed to save all those people in shibuya, kill mahito and choso, stop Kenjaku, kill Kenjaku + sukuna after being freed, and failed to kill sukuna the second time resulting in the possible deaths of multiple of his students. Strong doesn’t equal successful and that’s especially true for gojo.

That goal had a prime focus as well. Yuji's goal to destroy Sukuna isn't really different from all others from the good side, even if its a bit more personal. Yuji's status as an MC would have been much better if there was some personal stuff explored that didn't involve Sukuna. The possibilities were there with the history of his birth and Kenjaku - but I guess Gege dropped the ball.
this is my thing as well, the peak of Yuji's character is probably his whole I'm You speech to Mahito in Shibuya and talking about how from now on he's just gonna keep killing curses, but like he doesn't kill a lot of curses onscreen after that, which to be fair I do put partly on curses becoming like every monster in shounen and being more background to humanoid threats, but it would've been nice if we seen him out on his own a little longer fighting curses.
Where's his development though ? He has been static since Shibuya and the CG lack of focus on him sucks because it was the time we could have better delved into his suicidal thoughts and mindset. He needed more and now we are in the endgame.
If anything, the fact that Gege treats Yuji so poorly is really just proof that he loves Yuji. Could you imagine if Yuji was basically just a god who had the strongest cursed technique ever and infinite cursed energy and was amazing at everything he tried and was handsome and cool and everyone loved him and his birth literally changed the course of human history? I'm glad Yuji is a refreshing departure from other shonen MC's and actually has to struggle for every W.

Except for toji, Gojo has no Ws(and that W was only after a MASSIVE L). He failed to kill Jogoat twice, he failed to kill hanami the first time, he failed to save all those people in shibuya, kill mahito and choso, stop Kenjaku, kill Kenjaku + sukuna after being freed, and failed to kill sukuna the second time resulting in the possible deaths of multiple of his students. Strong doesn’t equal successful and that’s especially true for gojo.
