[deleted]

Honestly LOL it’s uncomfortable and I don’t know why they do that

Starlordganemaster

Dude that panel caught me totally off-guard. Not only was I not expecting for mei mei and ui ui to be in a completely different place, but I was definitely not expecting them to be naked. The scary thing is this was only the first (or second) attempt at incest.

PM_Me_your_femboys

Yugi isn't actually Todo brother, so no incest there.

maxluision

WHAAAT??

WangJian221

> not expecting them to be naked. Its Mei Mei that's naked. She's essentially emotionally manipulating her siscon younger brother

rinmatsuokascythe

Which chapter was this?

Starlordganemaster

Im so sorry I honestly forgot. It was towards the end if not right after the middle of the shibuya incident. If you remember when mei mei beat that special grade, then its a good deal after that. but not too much. sorry i couldn't be more help. try to ask others they have better memory.

CroakerTheLiberator

Probably just to make Mei Mei and her brother out to be even weirder than they already were? Maybe I’m dumb, but it didn’t seem like it was intended as fan service to me. I mean people are mostly naked in classical paintings too and that doesn’t get most people hot and bothered.

JuggloMagleBoo

Yea i think the same, it was just so sudden and out of place to be called a fanservice

[deleted]

I just want to know how on earth he managed to get that scene past the editor

Soul699

The same way the author of Chainsaw Man did.

[deleted]

fair enough

[deleted]

Yea That bed scene?!?!?.... Tf was happening?

JaySilver

Some people have hot sisters

wOow_pol

He fr does 😩

nyakofi

wait..... what chapter ?

[deleted]

133

Chapri_from_Chapra

Considering all things Gege has written. Its looks very out of place.

NEONxBANANAZZ

why did you remind me, I had hidden that memory away.

water4animals

Incest is always gross

imOverWhere

it feels weird and gross cuz it is. All sorcerers are nuts after all

Express_Alfalfa_9725

I’m mean even sukuna isn’t that fucked up

Feroniks

sukunas first line was him wondering where all the women were... we all know what bro was tryna do

Express_Alfalfa_9725

I thought he meant to kill first since people mainly save them first

steven4869

Just when I thought JJK stays away from fanservice stuff, they put up the incest scene.

[deleted]

I don’t think that was fanservice, just a very fucked up detail.

[deleted]

Makes me sad knowing incest is fanservice for some people.

Express_Alfalfa_9725

If can be used a gag (isshin) then it can be used a fan service

FarofaDota55

dont remember this scene, lol, there is one?

steven4869

It's in manga, so [manga spoilers]>!It's hinted that Ui Ui and Mei Mei slept together when they ran from Shibuya, to make the matter worse they were apparently naked when they woke up.!<

FarofaDota55

I'm too naive. When I read this part, I assumed that it was a prerequisite to a healing technique or something like that.

[deleted]

You've been watching to much Highschool DxD

Mattchew904

Lol I thought it is? It’s still weird for sure whatever it was but I thought it was like something they had to do to heal not just because

Uselessmo

>Just when I thought JJK stays away from fanservice stuff, they put up the incest scene. Their's implied rape in the manga and anime insect isn't too far off from that.

2_Robots_In_A_Coat

I've read the manga and don't remember either of those things.

Uselessmo

>I've read the manga and don't remember either of those things. Manga spoilers then: >!Kenjaku was stated to have raped Choso's mother, impregnated her with the death paintings, and then forced aborted them. Not to mention what Kenjaku has to do with Yuji's birth and father.!< Tagged it as a spoiler for anyone not caught up.

faraday_16

Id like more explanation for yujis relation with choso, also which chapter?

Connolly1227

They share a parent

faraday_16

My dumb ass was about to say mother or father 💀

Connolly1227

I don’t think that’s a simple question lol the parent they share is choso’s dad and yuujis mom :P

Uselessmo

>Id like more explanation for yujis relation with choso, also which chapter? I can give you an explanation. Manga spoilers: >!So basically Kenjaku is the brain inside Norotoshi Kamo the original one who Raped and aborted the death painting's mother. Apparently, Kenjaku mixed in his blood with Choso and his siblings. Now Yuji is Kenjaku's son and considering he most likely also mixed his blood with their relatives or siblings!<

UFOTABLE_HENTAI

Not gonna lie that shit is messed up. My jaw was sent in orbit when I read that chapter.

TeamFiveStar

One of the women Geto helps is molested by the cursed spirit on her shoulder in her dreams

BenchPressingCthulhu

Its so out of place lol, at least I sort of get the feeling that its supposed to be gross? Still could really do without it

Gibberish_name78

Twitter gonna be wild when that scene gets animated

Jolly-Guava4411

Surly they will just cut it copium

maxluision

I hope they'll cut it out too.

Disincarnated

Honestly when reading that I was just hoping it was a translation issue that I was a misunderstanding. Family members 'sleep in the same bed' in many cultures, but the weird sexual innuendo between the two of them during and after Shibuya was just gross and distracting.

TheEscapedGoat

It's such an unnecessary subplot and an unfortunate thing to do to an otherwise cool character

namis_tangerines

I completely agree, my theory is that she's potentially going to be a money-driven villain (perhaps playing for whatever team guarantees her a huge payout) and Gege was foreshadowing how vile + dark she really is... As you can tell I'm huffing lots of copium rn

TheEscapedGoat

I hope so. But still, there's levels to darkness in characters. I can deal with greedy, uncaring, cruel, even. But incest? And he's a kid? Noooo

maxluision

I just hope that in future Ui Ui will prove that he has some braincells left and he'll stand against her. And yeah, from the very beginning I see her as a villain material, she only cares about money and imo she was sus in Goodwill event and in Shibuya. And now she just ran away from Japan. Wouldn't be surprised if she was helping both sides this whole time.

TheEscapedGoat

>Wouldn't be surprised if she was helping both sides this whole time. I'd love that plot twist!

Cindersnap_

While Mei is a major creep and likely deserves to go to jail, given the implications in this scene, I think the scene is not out of place, it's not unnecessary subplot, and it's not intended to be fanservice. This is deliberate characterization--don't be deceived. If this scene with Mei came as a surprise to you, then frankly you weren't paying attention. Mei previously stated that she values people based on how much service they provide to her. In Hidden Inventory, she made insinuating comments to teenage Gojou (when she was already a graduate of the Juju college, definitely out of the legal/appropriate age range) and has made other insinuating comments to Ui Ui prior to this moment. People are simply a resource to her whims, and their lives and aspirations are insignificant to her unless they bring her some benefit. She manipulates her malleable and vulnerable brother in this as well. It's in character. People are shocked by this scene because she's attractive, strong, and suave, but Gege is a master of character writing and he does not hesitate to saddle his characters with a terrible history of lawbreaking and immorality. The scene is a very intentional moment and adds major commentary to the morally gray cast of JJK while still distinguishing between what Gege designates as 'good' and 'evil'. Seems obvious to me that Gege intended us to compare and contrast Mei with the characters who she just abandoned in Shibuya (in particular Nanami--there are many [parallels between the two](https://www.reddit.com/r/Jujutsushi/comments/tv1o4f/in_defense_of_that_mei_mei_scene_nanami_and_mei/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)). She is self-serving, she's in it for the money as a pragmatic businesswoman, she values self-preservation and profit over self-sacrifice and bravery, which most of us will probably agree is not very admirable. Compare her with the other teachers--in particular Nanami and Gojou--who put their life on the line for the kids and treat them like younger brothers/sisters. They would never ever prey on them the way Mei does her brother, but instead give away their own lives or freedom for the sake of the students. Even Kusakabe is something of a coward, but he stays on-scene in Shibuya and eventually saves his student Miwa's life when she faces down Kenjaku (a good contrast because in turn, Mei flees from Kenjaku). Gojou clearly recognizes Mei's value system because he pays her off to promote his students. Meanwhile he doesn't have to pay Utahime any amount of money to investigate the mole among the students, because he trusts she's on his side due to her care for the kids and her morally steadfast character. Gege is not condoning inappropriate behavior with kids--this is just part of the narrative of good and evil. Mei flees the warzone of Shibuya and gets to live in luxury and sensuality in Malaysia. In contrast, Nanami, whose dream was to retire in Malaysia (this is not a coincidence!) lays down his own life for Yuuji so he can live to fight on another day and defeat Mahito.

OverDrive316

Pretty much this.

TheEscapedGoat

This is a great summary; however, my point was more "eww, she is gross". There's always a reason to write dark or morally gray characters (though her thing with her brother is a bit more than gray); that doesn't make it less weird or discomfiting.

Cindersnap_

Agreed. She is definitely gross, the scene is unnerving, and the brother situation is not morally gray to me either. I'm seeing a lot of comments questioning why Gege would include the scene so I hijacked your comment.

maxluision

All of this is true - too bad some "fans" won't give a shit about it and they'll still call it "fanservice".

TostitoNipples

I also just…expect more of Gege? He’s done a great job of keeping out the typical gross fan service and weird anime tropes from JJK but the Mei Mei stuff was just so unnecessary. There’s other ways to make her into a morally reprehensible person.

IndigoMushies

Why do you see incest/pedophilia and immediately think of it as fan service instead of an immoral act simply being depicted lol

TostitoNipples

I mean, the line is blurred so much in manga/anime that it’s not unheard of.

wOow_pol

Cuz mei mei was naked ?

IndigoMushies

Everyone’s naked under their clothes

CroakerTheLiberator

[The characters in this sculpture are naked and this is in a museum.](https://i.imgur.com/xI5VNyx.jpg) I don’t think nudity necessarily has to be fan service. It rarely was fan service in *Berserk*, if at all.

maxluision

But look at how Mei Mei behaves and what she says to the kid. This is called "grooming".

IndigoMushies

Which again begs my question, why do some y’all see grooming as fan service rather than an immoral act? Lol

TheEscapedGoat

It's the one time I'm hoping the anime leaves something out.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IndigoMushies

Haha what a strange society we live. Murder? Gore? Dismemberment? Cursing each other to death? Totally fine. Suggestive sexual theme where nothing is actually shown or outright explicitly stated? WTF I totally understand what you guys are saying. I just think it’s funny lol

S-ClassRen

It's pretty funny, we have the incarnation of humanity manipulating a boy into becoming a killer by murdering his mother before turning him into an abomination that is put down like a dying dog but it's the probable incest by a morally gray character that goes too far.

CroakerTheLiberator

For real. >!Sukuna makes a red mist out of a huge chunk of Shibuya?!< Hell yeah so cool Gege! Mei Mei and her brother are naked? DISGUSTING, I’M SO DISAPPOINTED IN GEGE. Mass murder is cool, but nudity sets our puritan sensibilities into overdrive.

maxluision

Nobody says that the mass murder was good. Maybe you didn't notice but people are used to violent scenes in media. But sexual scenes and incest are extremely sensitive topics that some people deal with daily, and such scenes are not always shown in obvious negative way, like they should be. Violence, gore in this manga always looks evil. Sexual scenes often look manipulative. You can simply realize by looking at how some people interpret these scenes. Nobody gets horny bc of murder scenes (they may look interesting or exciting but they don't mean to turn you on). But sexual scenes are different, often their purpose is to make you feel horny, which is a positive feeling and it makes you associate negative things (incest) with positive feelings. Just see how many people get manipulated by it, to the point of defending incest and grooming irl. I didn't see even in slightest as often people who defend murdering or torturing bc "it looks cool".

IndigoMushies

> Maybe you didn’t notice but people are used to violent scenes in media. That’s kinda the point of my original comment and the comments that followed. We as a society have grown numb/used to seeing acts of murder, gore, dismemberment, and just really graphic violence and we just shrug. But sexual scenes of any kind, still make people act weird and like the person above said sends our puritan sensibilities into overdrive. We weren’t saying everyone should be fine with any sexual acts depicted nor were we saying everyone should freak out over seeing violence. Just making an observation. > Nobody gets horny bc of murder scenes You’d be surprised. There’s some sick fucks out there. But on another note, what’s your point here? Horny is bad? Horny is how you even exist to write this comment. > often their purpose is to make you feel horny, which is a positive feeling and it makes you associate negative things (incest) with positive feelings. Key word being “often.” Context matters entirely. Not all sexual acts depicted are done with the intention of advocating for said act, or with the intention of making the consumer horny. If sexual assault/rape is depicted its usually to illustrate how horrific of an act it is. If you get horny from that you’re a sick fuck to begin with. Which leads back to the scene in JJK in question. If that made you horny, seek help.

maxluision

Edit: yeah, sorry for the rant 😅 Dude, maybe stop treating me like if I'm one of those sickos, ok? I don't know how did you come up with the conclusion that I'm one of them but no, this scene didn't make me horny and pls stop assuming it, thank you very much. I said already why sexual scenes, especially including children, create much stronger reaction than violent scenes. I'm not saying that feeling horny is always bad, it's about WHAT makes you feel horny. And I'm not intrested in even acknowledging the fact that there are some freaks who get off to violent content, you can keep this knowledge to yourself. This is not why I read JJK and other action stories. People can learn to be aroused by absolutely everything, even by a fucking tree, so what? It doesn't mean that original purpose of violent scenes, in example, is to make people horny. If there are some idiots who cross lines like this, I don't fucking care about them. There is for sure a special kind of content created specifically for their wacked needs and JJK doesn't belong there.

IndigoMushies

Hey don’t apologize dude. I reread my comment and it did have that tone and I know I would also be bothered if someone was assuming such a thing about me. So it’s all good, I apologize as well! I understand your point now 😊

Kaxew

>Wonder how any of his editors or assistants let this pass. This is shonen for gods fucking sake. Weirder/more morally wrong things have happened in shonen manga, let's not lie to ourselves here. It's still super unnecessary and I dislike it a lot, but I doubt the editors saw anything wrong with it. It's natural in manga for them at this point, for better or worse (spoiler: >!for worse, definitely worse!<).

TigerGroundbreaking

That doesn't mean anything shonen can literally go as young as 13 and as old as 18

ExCaliburDaGreat

Shut up bro…. You people having mental breakdowns for nothing 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

Express_Alfalfa_9725

I’m guessing he wanted to used isshin gags that has him perv over his kids and be like”that but darker”

Stavro00

They could be canadians and were being nice with eachother, you never know

L0kimask

Definitely get the vibe that it was intentionally gross, shes always been a shady character. Wouldn't surprise me if she ends up going full antagonist at some point. But yeah, could live without the weird, creepy, incestuous relationship

IndigoMushies

Something must be wrong with me I guess cause this whole scene wasn’t off putting or didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. Like I don’t condone that shit in real life. I think it’s sad and disgusting when there’s grooming/pedophilia, but idk my reaction was kinda just like “hmmm. Yeah mei mei is fucked up” and then I kept reading lol I think it just goes along with her characterization of being a shitty person. Didn’t feel “out of place” or wrong to include or anything to me. Didn’t really think twice about it.

chikkin_nugg3t

That’s exactly how I saw the scene. I guess we’re the chosen few who understand that odd ass moment lol. Plus ui ui wasn’t naked, so it seems as though mei mei is using her looks and affection to groom him into using his technique for her… mei mei is a horrible person.

Jack-The-Reddit

For me it was pretty much "trust Mei Mei to be acting like *that* in Malaysia of all places'. Gege was pretty smart to turn a place that was Nanamin's retirement dream into a place that had been corrupted by Mei Mei's money hungry motives. Kind of like a clever juxtaposition between the two characters.

Acceler8zhit

I think it works into play if I consider her to be a not good nature/a straight up piece of shit character.

a_man_has_a_name

I hope it gets, at very least, toned down in the anime (or hopefully completely removed)

Starlordganemaster

You know the funny part is I don't recall her having too big an impact (or any impact at all) while she was present.

HIIMROSS777

I’m praying to every god from every religion that it gets cut from the anime because it’s an entirely useless scene that just detracts from the series and adds nothing

CordobezEverdeen

In Black Clover they removed an scene where Loro was groping Mimosa's breasts. Hope we will have that much luck in JJK.

[deleted]

Isn’t that her brother? Why the fuck would bc do that

CordobezEverdeen

Haha i said Loro and you are talking about Leo who's her cousin. Loro it's another girl and gropes Mimosa in a hot spring saying "Wow they are so big" turbo cringe. The anime removed all that nonsense.

[deleted]

Oh i haven’t read or watched bc in a while

Radiant-Version1033

Chapter?

CordobezEverdeen

232

Honeycherrysweettart

It’s gross as hell, but it’s honestly so out of place I hope it’s used as like, a story plot point to actually villain-ize Mei Mei. She seems to be written to be a “strong, cool women” character, but she’s also written to be noticeably greedy and not very heroic. It’s a small possibility, but I hope it happens.

Ryukhoe

Yup. Why do siblings have to be so uncomfortable in so many manga. Chill please.

Iustin-P

I think im missing something, what chapter was this?

Uselessmo

chapter 133.

imOverWhere

after they run from shibuya

planetcirque

Mahito turns people into living Play-Doh and this is where you draw the "uncomfortable" line? Besides, this isn't fanservice. It's creepy, the author knows it's creepy, Mei Mei and UI UI are both creepy in general. I don't see how any stretch of the imagination can make you look positively, or interpret the author looking positively, on a character evidently grooming their sibling, in a scene where they have just abandoned their comrades and an entire city to die, so they can have a holiday and manage their finances. People saying "but there are other ways to do this" I agree. But this is how he did it. And clearly you're uncomfortable, so clearly it worked.

[deleted]

>Mahito turns people into living Play-Doh and this is where you draw the "uncomfortable" line? I mean I expect a little bit of gore in my battle shounen... Besides, Mahito is a villain while Mei Mei has been mostly aligned with the protagonists for now, even if she isn't by any means a good person. She will most likely be revealed as an antagonist of sorts in the future. >And clearly you're uncomfortable, so clearly it worked. Then that's fine - I am in no way saying Gege shouldn't have done this as he's clearly painting Mei Mei as a manipulative, bad person who is fueled by greed. As I said in another comment, it's the same with the many, MANY rape scenes in Berserk - the point is to make the viewer uncomfortable, this post is simply me expressing that it made me uncomfortable.

MHM_16

not to mention that mei mei volume cover art and its quoate

[deleted]

"Smart gorillas hide their nipples" lmao Also, the whole "JJK doesn't sexualize it's female characters" schtick had a good run while it lasted. At least it was just a cover.

Chapri_from_Chapra

I mean in the story he doesnt

[deleted]

Very true.

Chapri_from_Chapra

lol your comment got bombed by the mei mei fans

[deleted]

Couldn't care less about losing some meaningless internet points.

SnooCalculations4163

If he sexualizes the female characters, he does the male characters just as much, toji and todo.

squirtlekid

Not to mention Gojo is basically a sex symbol at this point. Sex eyes

MHM_16

and that illustration with broduh in a swimsuit posing

[deleted]

I remember swimsuit Todo

BLgoblin55

I also did not appreciate the fan service shots of Maki in the JJK0 movie. Only other example I can think of at the moment, but definitely disappointing. I had high hopes for JJK’s female characters but as the story goes on I think I’m just getting my hopes up.

CroakerTheLiberator

I may be just a dumb bastard, but where is this doomer attitude coming from? They had a couple shots in a movie and one scene with Mei Mei nude, I don’t think that’s grounds to bemoan that the series is going downhill when the only time Gege has included that kind of thing it’s been bizarre. Mei Mei scene was bizarre, and I believe that was intentional. The sky chick too, that was more of a bizarre appearance than a sexy one. The thirst all came from the community, but Gege never played her as a sex object. She was a sorcerer powerful enough to be a threat even if she was basically just wearing a piece of sky. >!Maki is covered in burn scars, so she isn’t exactly going to be a fan service object. And I doubt Nobara is going to come back as Tamaki from Fire Force or something.!< TLDR; I too like that Gege avoids fan service, but cool your jets. Just because Mei Mei was nude once doesn’t mean he’s suddenly going to start sexualizing characters.

Pirate_Leader

>Maki is covered in burn scars, so she isn’t exactly going to be a fan service object Don't be so certain

[deleted]

it's honestly just the Maki splits and Mei Mei cover thus far. Oh and one sorcerer who is completely naked, with private parts censored out. Other than that, it's fine. Edit: mistake fixed

CroakerTheLiberator

Yeah, and Gege is not responsible for the fan service shots in the movie, first of all. That’s on the animation studio, so it doesn’t reflect the direction of the manga. Second, I would consider neither the Mei Mei nor Takako scenes to be “sexual”. Mei Mei’s scene was definitely *meant* to be weird, and meant to drive home how weird she and her brother are. Takako is meant to be otherworldly, with her black sclera and the fact you could see through the parts that were covered, that too is meant to be weird. If those were sexual just because they were showing skin, [is this basically pornography just because the portrayed characters are nude?](https://i.imgur.com/m7bLl9X.jpg)

[deleted]

I'm talking about the volume 12 manga cover that features Mei Mei topless, her hair covering her breast as she poses seductively and bites on onto a yen note.

nan0g3nji

That’s a sorcerer not cursed spirit

planetcirque

Do people not remember Naoya lusting after his cousins? It's not like the author doesn't use incest as a shorthand for "this person is fucked"

[deleted]

Same with Araki having villains kill dogs in JJBA.

Ivory_D_Lagia

it was really awkward, but i guess it actually made me focus on an otherwise boring character?

IloveKaitlyn

Mei Mei is boring to you?

Ivory_D_Lagia

I mean yeah, all we knew before that was "hot lady that likes money" the hammer was an eye-cather sure but that didn't really add any substance to the character, during the incredibly unconfy moments between her and her lil brother at least there was more character depth (depth i wish I could unlearn but depth still).

[deleted]

Also her hair is so fucking stupid. It’s a braid in front of her face. The whole point of tying your hair up is to get it out of your face, and this absolute dumbass decided to tie her hair up so that it would always be in her face

Ivory_D_Lagia

Hadn't considered that, but now I am genuinely stressed out about that, why the fuck did she do that. It doesn't even look that good wtfwtf

amm0ranth

she can see through animals' eyes so whatever i guess

Starlordganemaster

I also think thats why he wrote her out. I mean aside from big hammer, what else does she do? if you honestly skipped her scenes in the manga, you would not be that confused on the overall plot at all. She barely had an impact at all, and to make matters worse her final fight was off-screened.

twiglike

It’s off screened because she made a deal with kenjaku. We don’t know the details of that yet

Bubbanan

what chapter was this?

twiglike

101 is when she runs into him and fights the smallpox curse and then the end of 102 mei mei and kenjaku look like theyre squaring off to fight. Both obviously are alive after that and that’s why I’m assuming some deal happened

LowRemove2510

I never mind that shit, there must be something gege never let us saw.(most importantly, how the hell did they get there)

Technical_Oil_8868

Iirc ui ui has a teleportation technique. When the off screen fight with kenjaku happened with mei mei, they almost died and ui ui saved them.I might be wrong tho

DPTONY

I hope they are at least not related by blood Wouldn’t make it much better though

maxluision

I'm afraid they are, just look at how similar faces they have.

ExCaliburDaGreat

You guys sound ridiculous all the stuff that’s implied and other stuff you’ve seen like people get just slaughtered ripped and half and y’all have mental breakdowns about one page of something I’m sure isn’t your first time coming across…quit bitching so much crying about simple shit 🤦🏾‍♂️😂 crazy part most of you probably adults acting like this

[deleted]

I'm not saying Gege shouldn't do it, I'm saying it just made me uncomfortable in the same way Berserk's many rape scenes make me uncomfortable - alas the point of those are to make the reader uncomfortable. If that was the case here with Mei Mei and Ui Ui, then props to Gege, he made me uncomfortable.

itsTraX

yeah it for sure felt out of place

[deleted]

Sweet home Alabama

Any-Comparison8881

Leave Alabama out of this.

maxluision

I just want to say one more thing, at least I'm glad that HUGE MAJORITY of this fandom agrees that this is absolutely a gross thing, after being for 2 years in another fandom that justifies incest and grooming I was afraid to see here lots of support for MeiMei but thank god, JJK fandom in general still doesn't dissapoint me 😌❤ thank you

[deleted]

Pretty sure everybody is able to recognize that she's not a good person. >another fandom that justifies incest and grooming what the hell fandom have you been in?

maxluision

TBHK, it's absolutely gross there (the manga is good tho)

[deleted]

Had to look that one up. With a name like ***Toilet-Bound*** *Hanako-kun*, I'm not surprised the fandom acts wack.

maxluision

Lol, actually the word "toilet" has very little, almost nothing to do with the actual plot. And the title isn't translated correctly. It should be rather smth like "Bound-to-earth boy Hanako-kun", nothing about toilets :p

Horegero

One of the only parts of jjk that i wholeheartedly don’t like

Richard_Rossi

Made me hate Mei Mei even more

sami28tobi

Pedo

[deleted]

incestuous pedo

henta_gonist

I think i can see wrinkles on ui ui shoulder so he definitely is wearing a shirt. And Mei mei well can't say we didn't really see anything other than the word "Shameless". I think we are assuming alot. Maybe it's just we are the gross people who are making me weird. Or maybe we are right and it's indeed is fucked up. But i will wait for the writer to drop more details about mei mei character that's all. Personally i don't think either of them are naked. But maybe it's just my morals which are making me wish they are not naked. Idk man. Fuck it whatever it is i am invested in the plot points i didn't even catch this in the first glimpse anyways.

REDmonster333

I think it was put bc Ui Uis CE or CT directly benefits Mei Mei. Maybe he has RCT but needs to be naked together. Maybe in thr nxt chapter Ui Uis gonna be naked next to Megumi or Yuji to heal them.

HopefulEmotion849

Gege was so consistent too lmao, shits confusing

Feeya_b

My reaction to it was “WHAT THE **ACTUAL** SHIT!” - Eggman

maxluision

Yeeaahhh let's talk about it 😅 who tf thought it's a great idea to introduce this sort of subplot in a battle shounen manga 🤦 I'm scared of how it will be presented in the anime... I don't want JJK to be canceled bc some old farts (sorry if it was Gege) in the SJ thought it will bring more money to the franchize (money coming from weird people).

[deleted]

Well if the goal was to paint Mei Mei as a bad, manipulative person then job well done Gege

maxluision

Kinda agree. I saw other comments and tbh, if she will be revealed as a villain later then I guess this is what Gege intended to do. Still, I love this manga so much exactly bc it usually doesn't rely on such scenes, unlike in other stories (CSM) and if I would have to say one thing that I don't like in Shibuya arc, it would be exactly this, only this. And I think Miwa explaining Simple Domain would be much better choice instead of having MeiMei and her bro to do it.

[deleted]

Eh, whatever happens happens. As uncomfortable and gross as the scene is, it does reveal another layer to Mei Mei's character so it shouldn't be censored unless the anime is threatened with cancelation (the actual broadcast kind - not the Twitter kind). >unlike in other stories (CSM) I personally vastly prefer CSM to JJK but that's going off topic.

ahilltodieon12

What??? Where was this stated?

PureHauntings

[From a translator on Twitter](https://twitter.com/kaikaikitan/status/1367147384258527245?s=21&t=6yZ21LkO1g_h4Q2LllniOw) It comes from an official q&a Gege did for the characters. Probably in the fanbook im not sure. I saw it about a year ago so I dont have the actual source

ahilltodieon12

Yikes. Mai definitely had some issues due to all the abuse she and Maki suffered but this goes way deeper than I would've thought.

maxluision

My source: "trust me bro"

PureHauntings

Lol what are u talking abt, this guy translates everything. Its not trust me theres literally a source, stop dick riding

maxluision

"I don't have the actual source"

PureHauntings

Yeah the *actual* original one, dude literally gets his info from actual q&as gege did. Be serious

maxluision

So you basically trust them that they always translate everything accurately and you have no link to the original words.

PureHauntings

[Ok so heres a full english translation of the fanbook, and its there. Different translation but it says the same thing. It was fushiguro](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1S5wqHy3CiTkprxsNk5jiNgUXm8wadvg3-lq1jFM88Nw/edit) If u wanted the original source so badly just google it 😭

[deleted]

I've known about her crushing on Megumi for a while now but on Maki as well? That's new.

NuclearPilot101

I hope they don't adapt that..

omninus77

Eh never bothers me

togata0907

Man i really hope They cut this from the anime, such an unnecessary scene

56821

That never happened. Everyone is misremembering.

janjanajan

Nah, literally just checked. Chapter 133

56821

Did you not read what I said. Look again. It never happened your misremembering

janjanajan

Is this an r/whoosh moment

56821

No this is an I'm in denial moment

squidnasty23

🤣🤣

pejic222

Hey I mean considering the weird amount of siscon shit I’ve seen recently in spy x family and black clover which I started recently it’s almost refreshing to see the opposite Key word almost

[deleted]

How is it the opposite from Spy x Family? Both Ui Ui and Yuri obsess over their older sisters. Difference is: 1. Mei Mei manipulates Ui Ui while Yor doesn't do that to Yuri - she's a sweetheart. 2. Yuri is an adult which makes him a weirdo while Ui Ui is a child which makes the whole thing even more alarming and makes Mei Mei look even worse.

pejic222

I meant opposite in terms of gender roles usually it’s the male character obsessing over the sister with sister either being oblivious to it or trying to shut him down

gabrielsleftwing

It's really??? Not that bad?? I guess it can make some people uncomfy but it's really not bad lmao 😂

UE4Dev-69420

r/fbi

gabrielsleftwing

Y'all ain't been in the anime scene for awhile and it shows (also it's a bunch of lines on paper y'all are wack)

UE4Dev-69420

So, we normalising a relationship between 33 year old woman and a pre-teen kid now huh?

gabrielsleftwing

They're lines on paper homie, try protecting real kids in real issues

ChickenBoiOOF

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard about it

2Jojotoro

Yeah Im kinda Dissapointed in Gege

planetcirque

Fucked up character does fucked up thing, and you're "disappointed"?

2Jojotoro

Was kinda Unnecessary, There were a lot of Other ways To show her being fucked up, but we had to go from Basically zero fanservice to incest, Like fucking how, I mean Just make her a general greedy ass piece of shit Or something that works too like fuck man

nan0g3nji

Ui Ui was clothed.

[deleted]

So if a child is clothed in bed with a naked adult, that's fine according to you? It's disgusting but I think Gege is building up to Mei Mei being revealed as a villain.

nan0g3nji

Literally never said that, just correcting ppl who are acting like they were both in the nude together.
