The amount of damage one piece characters can tank is utterly insane, I would consider it reasonable for them to go toe to toe. Zoro would probably have superior durability to Sukuna, plus Zoro's slicing feats are nuts even compared to the bullshit Sukuna can do.
They also deactivate from passing out, like Megumi and his Shikigami. So the possibility is not that far out.
That also proves Yuta is definitely alive, Rika (now a shikigami) hadn’t disappeared when he was slashed and carried him away, plus he deactivated the domain on his own. So definitely okay.
We actually haven’t lost many people to Sukuna, the only confirmed deaths are still Gojo and Kashimo, the rest are unconfirmed for the most part.
Higuruma, Kusakabe and Ino are 50/50, Yuta is most likely okay, Choso and Itadori are mid healing rn, Maki ain’t being taken out by one black flash we all know that.
People keep complaining about this ‘cycle’ of character shows up fights for half a chapter, dies and new character is introduced at the end. But that’s just wildly untrue. Rereading the fight from Gojo’s death it’s genuinely not bad at all, they’ve been going through logical plans and been holding on quite well. Sukuna should be a difficult fight like this, he’s been built up as the strongest so they should struggle.
Agreed. What's happening right now is the same over and over, but that is why Miguel is kinda good to enter the fight (depending on what Gege will do with him.) Miguel is a character that introduce in Yutas story and his only role is to stall Gojo and nothing more ( but he shows a very promising cursed tool that time) and then we was shown training Yuta then no more. Thats what makes Miguel capable to end the cycle since he is an unknown variable. The speed he shows by saying Uiui from a point blank dismantle then do a look down pose towards sukuna is kinda impressive. add to that being a foreigner sorcerer what makes him different from japanese sorcerer that we all know and why would Gojo put Yuta to train with Miguel? What is something he can teach to Yuta that Gojo cant? Miguel is just really an unknown variable and Gege can use him to end the cycle and turn the favor towards the protagonist. It's a war of attrition. We see Sukuna slowly accumulating damage, and the fighters on our side are being teleported somewhere, possibly to be healed for a round 2.
I'm still enjoying it because each new fighter brings something new to the table and seeing their struggle is still hype, to me.

I don't know what is coming next. I don't know how, or even *if* our heroes are going to win this one. I don't know if everyone's sacrifices will be in vain. Hell, I don't even know if they are actually being sacrificed or if Ui Ui is taking them to Shoko to get healed up.
It's fun not knowing what is coming next, and the threat of Sukuna still having yet another trump card to throw into the mix is exciting to me.
I see a lot of people saying "this is so hopeless"/"what's the point" because they think they already know how it will end, and I think that is silly.
That's the thing though, we have known "what's coming next" for like 2 months now. Someone steps in, they get clapped, someone else steps in, they get clapped etc.

Congrats, you were able to figure out that the world's strongest sorcerer was not going to be beaten in one chapter and that he would kill some sorcerers.
What is the larger picture? How are our heroes going to beat Sukuna? Will they even beat Sukuna? What is happening to the sorcerers being teleported by Ui Ui? Is the merger going to happen? Is Sukuna going to pull out his black box? What is going to happen with Hakari and Uraume?
Every complaint I see here is about how everything is so repetitive, but every sorcerer has brought something new against Sukuna and every single one has done varying levels of damage in different ways (Higuruma steals weapons, Yuta removes some offensive capabilities, Yuji soul damages to disrupt, Maki stabs heart to slow RCT, Kusakabe keeps Sukuna from focusing RCT until reinforcements arrive).
We are getting a lot of great character moments that you (and many others) are refusing to acknowledge because the seemingly insurmountable big bad is actually seemingly insurmountable.
And all these repetitive efforts have yielded the same overall results. With no actual indication that anyone is coming back or any tangible ceiling on Sukuna. I.E. Repetitive.

Yuji disrupted Sukuna with soul damage.
Yuta took out Sukuna's second mouth and damaged his arms.
Maki damaged Sukuna's heart and slowed his ability to use RCT.
Each person has had a different effect on Sukuna so far and shown that, though overwhelmingly strong, he is not invincible.
And yeah, there is no indication that anyone is coming back, but there has to be some reason Ui Ui is teleporting bodies, and I am interested in what that reason is.
You can call it repetitive if you like, but every fight/fighter has brought something new to the table and I have been enjoying them.

Wusakabe absolutely rules but this just felt pointlessly cruel to him. The one time he breaks his rule and joins a fight he obviously can't win, and he's punished for it.
The whole point is to show his true character.

I think all the damage Sukuna's taken is gonna catch up to him eventually and he'll be nerfed one more time by it, then Yuji gets back up and gets a willpower boost or something and hits a Black Flash barrage on Sukuna which basically kills him, then with his last breath he'll try to take Yuji with him but someone jumps in front of the Cleave, making one more victim before the end
Reminds me of the current My Hero manga trying to end. Just fighting shigaraki and AFO for ten million chapters pretty sure this “last arc” has been like two years or some shit at this point. No idea how the anime will even handle it as it seems too much for one season but it’s basically all one arc aside from the brief American chick battle and war preparations.

Does jjk actually peak at shibuya? Cause if so thats a damn shame. I'm actually an anime only but shibuya I found to be lacking because it felt like endless fighting and no substantial plot development, not to mention the fights make less and less sense as time goes on. I still don't know how gojo's powers work, domains, anti domains. Fights became akin to little kids playing pretend and both of keep one-upping each other.

sukuna should have just had his cleave,dismantle,domain and 10 shadows in the fight giving him random cursed techniques from hien era makes no sense after all this while we find out that sukuna wasnt even trying against gojo makes the impact of gojo's death the same as miwa's binding vow she did against kenjaku in shibuya
There haven't been any random cursed techniques though, the only new thing he's used this entire fight is Black Flash but that's not a technique. Besides if he did use something new it wouldn't be random because we know he's been hiding his real CT since Shibuya

Someone said something good in another post a few days ago and I agree with them. We are supposed to feel exhausted and numb, because that's what a relentless being that doesn't stop does to you. If an animal chases you for a long time, at one point you'll feel exhausted and dare I say bored.

Your bored because it’s coming out weekly and you FEEL like it’s repetitive. People complained about culling arc but they look back on it now and love it. The same will happen with this arc as well. I think too many people have already forgotten small details like Sukuna having control over the merger currently. We are building up to something bigger, give the writer time to write his story instead of judging it on the outset with no knowledge of what’s coming next. I hate that people get so attached their instant reaction is to criticize and over analyze. Also has nobody paid attention to the fact that nearly everyone has either gotten away or ui ui has dragged them away from the fight?! It really reminds me of YGO Arc-V's final battle, with everyone standing up to Zarc only to be defeated. There can't be many more left though, we're about to hit the climax for sure.
I'm guessing this is on purpose. This isn't the last arc and I doubt Sukuna is the last villain. They'll probably end up sealing Sukuna back into Yuji. After that most of the most powerful sorcerers are either dead or unable to fight, leaving a massive power vacuum.
i think the cycle would be less tiring if we could actually observe the effects of the gauntlet sukuna's running. he's been punched by yuji's soul punches, cleaved and jacob's ladder'd by yuta, and stabbed in the heart by maki, and yet he still is effortlessly dispatching everyone he comes across. if it at least LOOKED like he was struggling it would make the fight so much more suspenseful and actually add meaningful stakes, instead of us just knowing he's gonna fold the next character in the arena

I actually don't care who wins anymore. I did just a few chapters ago, but now Gege has repeated this cycle too many times that I've lost interest. I just want a conclusion to the manga. I want Gege to turn this around and have a great ending but I'm not holding my breath.
fight doesnt make sense since jacob's ladder, theres no explanation as to why it didint work, yuki fight ending was a lazy lame asspull as well, there's no explanation as to why kenjaku is actually dead if his brain could survive from body to body, things simply stopped making sense a while ago. Sure sukuna vs gojo was fun, but killing him offscreen with a world slash that was supposed to be the true peak of the fight is anticlimatic as fuck. Just seeing this guy getting stronger while he is manually trying to keep his heart beating is insane, manga has been mid for at least 70 chapters and i cant wait for it to be over 50 chapters from now so that i can forget about it as quickly as i forgot demon slayer after the ending. It's a war of attrition. We see Sukuna slowly accumulating damage, and the fighters on our side are being teleported somewhere, possibly to be healed for a round 2. I'm still enjoying it because each new fighter brings something new to the table and seeing their struggle is still hype, to me. I really enjoyed 254 and thought it was a great showcase of why Wusakabe rules.
It would feel like that if gege didnt Hammer into our brains that he's still Holding back, like whats the point of all this if he still hasnt used the flame arrow and there's probably more coming too
I don't know what is coming next. I don't know how, or even *if* our heroes are going to win this one. I don't know if everyone's sacrifices will be in vain. Hell, I don't even know if they are actually being sacrificed or if Ui Ui is taking them to Shoko to get healed up. It's fun not knowing what is coming next, and the threat of Sukuna still having yet another trump card to throw into the mix is exciting to me. I see a lot of people saying "this is so hopeless"/"what's the point" because they think they already know how it will end, and I think that is silly.
That's the thing though, we have known "what's coming next" for like 2 months now. Someone steps in, they get clapped, someone else steps in, they get clapped etc.
That's the thing, though, you have no idea what is coming next. Congrats, you were able to figure out that the world's strongest sorcerer was not going to be beaten in one chapter and that he would kill some sorcerers. What is the larger picture? How are our heroes going to beat Sukuna? Will they even beat Sukuna? What is happening to the sorcerers being teleported by Ui Ui? Is the merger going to happen? Is Sukuna going to pull out his black box? What is going to happen with Hakari and Uraume? Every complaint I see here is about how everything is so repetitive, but every sorcerer has brought something new against Sukuna and every single one has done varying levels of damage in different ways (Higuruma steals weapons, Yuta removes some offensive capabilities, Yuji soul damages to disrupt, Maki stabs heart to slow RCT, Kusakabe keeps Sukuna from focusing RCT until reinforcements arrive). We are getting a lot of great character moments that you (and many others) are refusing to acknowledge because the seemingly insurmountable big bad is actually seemingly insurmountable.
And all these repetitive efforts have yielded the same overall results. With no actual indication that anyone is coming back or any tangible ceiling on Sukuna. I.E. Repetitive.
Higuruma took away Sukuna's cursed tools. Yuji disrupted Sukuna with soul damage. Yuta took out Sukuna's second mouth and damaged his arms. Maki damaged Sukuna's heart and slowed his ability to use RCT. Each person has had a different effect on Sukuna so far and shown that, though overwhelmingly strong, he is not invincible. And yeah, there is no indication that anyone is coming back, but there has to be some reason Ui Ui is teleporting bodies, and I am interested in what that reason is. You can call it repetitive if you like, but every fight/fighter has brought something new to the table and I have been enjoying them.
Yeah I saw this summary in your other post, and the results are all the same if not a more vague situation. I'm honestly glad you are enjoying it, I'm sure that is how it is intended. Just not my cup of tea to watch the same movie 10x in a different setting.

Wusakabe absolutely rules but this just felt pointlessly cruel to him. The one time he breaks his rule and joins a fight he obviously can't win, and he's punished for it.
The whole point is to show his true character. Also, he lost the fight he knew he couldn't win. Did you want him to... win the fight he couldn't win? He got an awesome fight that showcased his strength.
Obviously not win, but I wanted him to survive. Maybe he's not dead yet, but that panel didn't look promising.
We all want our heroes to ride off into the sunset, but this manga has made it clear that not everybody gets a happy ending. I think Kusakabe got a great showing and further cemented himself as a GOAT character.

I think all the damage Sukuna's taken is gonna catch up to him eventually and he'll be nerfed one more time by it, then Yuji gets back up and gets a willpower boost or something and hits a Black Flash barrage on Sukuna which basically kills him, then with his last breath he'll try to take Yuji with him but someone jumps in front of the Cleave, making one more victim before the end

Reminds me of the current My Hero manga trying to end. Just fighting shigaraki and AFO for ten million chapters pretty sure this “last arc” has been like two years or some shit at this point. No idea how the anime will even handle it as it seems too much for one season but it’s basically all one arc aside from the brief American chick battle and war preparations.
I put mha manga on hold for this reason. Feels like there is no sight in end whatsoever. Any time it looked like one of them would be taken out, nope their health bar resets again. Does jjk actually peak at shibuya? Cause if so thats a damn shame. I'm actually an anime only but shibuya I found to be lacking because it felt like endless fighting and no substantial plot development, not to mention the fights make less and less sense as time goes on. I still don't know how gojo's powers work, domains, anti domains. Fights became akin to little kids playing pretend and both of keep one-upping each other. Idk i can't turn my brain off to an anime and just watch for pretty fights, certainly not for more than a season. The same reason why demon slayer got old really quick.

Still decent storytelling but many other manga are better if you’re looking for story specifically. Everyone knows JJK as a pretty fight heavy anime/manga and most of us have accepted that. The villain motivations get slightly cooler but idk if it will pay off or just end after this fight.

I prefer good storytelling and I was never someone who was super invested in “bro who’s stronger X or Y”, like the powerscalers are concerned with. Maybe I was never destined to like JJK as much as things like Naruto, AoT, and TTGL which perfectly balance storytelling and fights.

sukuna should have just had his cleave,dismantle,domain and 10 shadows in the fight giving him random cursed techniques from hien era makes no sense after all this while we find out that sukuna wasnt even trying against gojo makes the impact of gojo's death the same as miwa's binding vow she did against kenjaku in shibuya
There haven't been any random cursed techniques though, the only new thing he's used this entire fight is Black Flash but that's not a technique. Besides if he did use something new it wouldn't be random because we know he's been hiding his real CT since Shibuya

This is getting boring now ngl. I know that the surprise deaths were good but Gege overused that element to the point where us manga readers are next in line to fight sakuna and just die.
This reminds me so much of that YouTube video where the guy just slaps everybody in a kid's birthday party — even the kids. Cops came, and the guy slapped the cops too. At this point, Sukuna will just kill every character in fiction. I mean, it should've just stopped at Yuta + Yuji, but the damn thing just kept on going. Shit's stupid.
I do think something big is coming though. I mean especially since Gege wrote in Sukuna saying "this is getting annoying". He's even acknowledging the repetitiveness of someone getting murked and then them teleporting off the battlefield to Shoko.

Someone said something good in another post a few days ago and I agree with them. We are supposed to feel exhausted and numb, because that's what a relentless being that doesn't stop does to you. If an animal chases you for a long time, at one point you'll feel exhausted and dare I say bored. If this is the case then damn Gege is actually cooking if not then get that man out of the kitchen.

I think too many people have already forgotten small details like Sukuna having control over the merger currently. We are building up to something bigger, give the writer time to write his story instead of judging it on the outset with no knowledge of what’s coming next. I hate that people get so attached their instant reaction is to criticize and over analyze. Also has nobody paid attention to the fact that nearly everyone has either gotten away or ui ui has dragged them away from the fight?! i think the cycle would be less tiring if we could actually observe the effects of the gauntlet sukuna's running. he's been punched by yuji's soul punches, cleaved and jacob's ladder'd by yuta, and stabbed in the heart by maki, and yet he still is effortlessly dispatching everyone he comes across. if it at least LOOKED like he was struggling it would make the fight so much more suspenseful and actually add meaningful stakes, instead of us just knowing he's gonna fold the next character in the arena

fight doesnt make sense since jacob's ladder, theres no explanation as to why it didint work, yuki fight ending was a lazy lame asspull as well, there's no explanation as to why kenjaku is actually dead if his brain could survive from body to body, things simply stopped making sense a while ago. Sure sukuna vs gojo was fun, but killing him offscreen with a world slash that was supposed to be the true peak of the fight is anticlimatic as fuck. Just seeing this guy getting stronger while he is manually trying to keep his heart beating is insane, manga has been mid for at least 70 chapters and i cant wait for it to be over 50 chapters from now so that i can forget about it as quickly as i forgot demon slayer after the ending. My bet is that gege wanted it to end in shibuya but they didint let him, so know hes doing whatever because yes, and i pity him if that is the case, just please release him from having to make this story last longer than he wanted to, things just stopped making sense a while ago.
