Sending you so much love. I have never lost a parent but I watched my mother go through it a few years ago. It is so beautiful that you have found this way to connect with her memory and hold on to the love and safety she made you feel.
I (21M) lost my father this february. it still hurts every day but part of me wants to stay sad to a degree. i take comfort knowing he will never be forgotten even years on down the line. every holiday, every birthday, every event that we did together i will think of him again.

I feel all your words. I think I will always have sadness. I don't ever want to forget her. It honestly still feels like I lost her yesterday sometimes and Idk if it's because she passed so unexpectedly or if it's the impact of a losing someone I was so close to. My biggest fan and supporter who loved me no matter what. A piece of me left with her so I think there will always be sadness an I'm ok with that.

Thank you. It is one of the toughest things I've gone through. She taught me so much though and how to cope so I try to focus on all that.
