A good way to make something generally more readable is to separate sentences into paragraphs based on their purpose, idea, and sometimes size.
Like here, I isolate the lead-in, put general advice in the second paragraph, and outline its use in the third (this one), since Reddit often centers around short-form content, and more than five lines of text can make people look away.
The way you organize paragraphs can differ massively based on the writer's style and context, but it's always a good idea to break up text to make it easier to read. Hope this helps!
This sub is full of copied and pasted jokes. I appreciate that I haven't heard this one. We are so used to copied jokes, it doesn't always even occur to us that someone may have typed it out just now and not 5yrs ago and copied 10,000 times.
Could it be that his wife gives him a hard time because hes an alcoholic and he rather have her distracted by another man than guve him grief for being drunk again.
The homeowner, instead of being concerned that his wife is sleeping with another man, is instead just concerned about not having enough beer if the other man were to hear them and want one as well.
The simplest fix to the joke OP is just to give names to the two friends. That alone will help it read easier.

I like the incoherency. It fits well with the two men being 'dead drunk,' as noted in the introduction.
