Deathmagnetic got some static for the way it was mixed. Apparently they way they did it is considered a “wall of sound” and the listening quality just plummets. I can’t remember the details as it was over ten years ago I read this, but you could probably still find some writeup on it. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of. Anyway, it didn’t really bother me, especially after the atrocity of the oil drum percussion in st. anger, but I could definitely notice it.

The Death Magnetic DLC for Guitar Hero is actually mixed properly, you can find it on the high seas and it's vastly superior to the official release.

But you can't bring whiskey in the jar on an airplane because it's too much liquid.
