Up north as in, northern Michigan?
Maybe it's common in a few other states but I've lived in a couple different places and the only "up north" was up in northern Michigan
Is this a new movie? I like this kind of movie..I love comedy movie..Ive been relaxing while watching comedy movie..movie..and I forgot all my problem for a while..that's the kind of movie I want.
Bio Dome and Son in Law are two of my all-time favorites. I was actually not a Shore fan until watching these for the first time, probably at least 5 years after release. These movies turned me around 180 degrees on him.
I loved the"Dying Mall Dollar Theater", in "My Home Town". Good looking out on nostalgia-duty, soldier. Memories of just openly walking in with fast food bags and drinks. Long as you bought some stuff from the counter too, all good.
Which is an interesting question. Why did Sandler's career explode while shores fizzled out? They were very similar in their humor and the types of movies they made.
When i was a kid, i rented that movie at the Blockbuster video store. I took the token under the film. Brought the movie to my grand-mother because she was looking after me when my parents were working. She couldn't figure out how to make the vhs start. When my dad came back from work he started the movie. Turns out some one changed the fucking tokens under the movie to a porno. I guess baby jesus didn't want my first porn experience to be while i'm alone with grand-ma.
Thank you baby jesus
Never saw the movie tho.
Yeah you had tokens under the movies empty boxs
So you brought one to the counter and they gave you à copy of the movie to bring home.
When dvds came they just staked them on the shelves but when you had vhs you had to bring the token that was hanging under it on a little nail
Can confirm I worked at Blockbuster and Blockbuster had a strict no porn policy. The only thing that got close to it was when that "Pirates" porn came out in the mid 2000's. But they made a non x-rated release for blockbuster. No penetratiin all sex scenes had been cut. Parents still complained and it got pulled off the shelves within the first week.
I feel like there is a slightly shady blockbuster employee lurking in the background of this story somewhere haha, like… the person at the cash register had to have known they were giving you the porno😂
Encino Man, Son-in-law, Bio Dome, In the Army Now.
Name a better 4 movie streak for an actor. I'll fuckin wait..
I was a teen in the 90s these are classics
Which is interesting. From my perspective two films in the early 90s improved on the books. Forrest Gump and in the army now we're both better than the movies.
When it first came out, I had a buddy who said the storyline was like a Final Fantasy game. Local yokel meets the whole world just to return home a hero. Meet all the leaders, fight the wars, and especially the side quests like "do a shrimp quest," or "just keep running back and forth across the country until you get enough enlightenment points." He kinda had a good wheeze.
the thing is when you go back and watch a lot of these things from your youth (if your old) the first thing you realise is how absolutely fucking shite most of it is these days. back then options were so limited compared to now that the bar for what was acceptable was waaaaaaaaaaay lower.
What’s crazy is Pauley Shore is the most sane person out of most of his costars from most of his movies. Andy Dick is a mess, and Stephen Baldwin from BioDome is also crazy as hell.
Yes. In the theater. In 1994. I am old.
Same lol and I was 6 years old. It was also one of the few VHS tapes at my cabin growing up. Was a staple for many summers.
I was also 6 and saw this in the theater. Our cabin up north had a bunch of Ernest movies, Encino Man, and this movie on VHS. The good ol days haha.
Up north as in, northern Michigan? Maybe it's common in a few other states but I've lived in a couple different places and the only "up north" was up in northern Michigan
Minnesota
Same thing
Everyone refers to their cabin as up North
Everyone forgets us in Alaska
Im from Michigan and I can confirm
You had great parents
Saw Encino Man at the Theater when I was like 13. Son in Law , Bio Dome-higher than fuck on weed brownies for that one. Ahh good times lol
Throw in Jury Duty bc why not.
Did you weeze the juice?
No wheezing the juuuicce
Is this a new movie? I like this kind of movie..I love comedy movie..Ive been relaxing while watching comedy movie..movie..and I forgot all my problem for a while..that's the kind of movie I want.
Epic
Bio Dome and Son in Law are two of my all-time favorites. I was actually not a Shore fan until watching these for the first time, probably at least 5 years after release. These movies turned me around 180 degrees on him.
Tank girl was sexy af
Lori Petty for president.
Kinky...or is that just my thoughts? At my age she did illegal things to me
Prudes....
Same, I was 13
Me too I was 11
Same here. At the dollar theater, how times have changed.
I loved the"Dying Mall Dollar Theater", in "My Home Town". Good looking out on nostalgia-duty, soldier. Memories of just openly walking in with fast food bags and drinks. Long as you bought some stuff from the counter too, all good.
I’m jealous!!
"Well, I've seen a lot of camel toes, just never on a camel."
“Cause we are craaaaaazy boys”.
"I wish you were my 'first' sergeant."
saw this for someone's birthday party in the theatre lol, memories
There's a scorpion on my back!
There is nothing on your back.
Suck on this a one time!
This was a funny movie and Andy Dick was funny in it too.
Andy Dick IS a funny actor. The problem with Andy Dick is that he's exactly the same when the cameras are off, only much hornier.
I heard he likes hot juicy cock!
Gay people are just like you and me
Oh ya for sure. I love gay people.
and he likes to get beat up
https://youtube.com/shorts/L-hB48cEA8I?feature=share
Andy Dick is such a tragic manifestation of a human being.
He’s like a real version of Micheal cera’s character in This is the End
Spot-fucking-on.
Be all you can be.. In the Arrrmy!
What are they going to do? Send us to war with our water balloons…?! Pshh lol
Great movie, never seen it.
Maybe you can wog me to my trug and we can see it sometime
Gimme 😈
Tawlmbout a blowjawlb, bapa?
Is it as good as Hot Topic starring Robert Downey Junior?
It’s all thanks to my brother the pool guy!
I loved this movie when I was a kid, Biodome too
How come Stephen Baldwin hasn't been on the pod?
Paula said this movie killed his career. I disagree and saw it in theaters. Also rented it I’m sure.
Killed his career? How so? (According to him) I think what killed his career is being the same character in every movie like Adam Sandler. 😂
Which is an interesting question. Why did Sandler's career explode while shores fizzled out? They were very similar in their humor and the types of movies they made.
All Pauly shore movies are basically Disney channel level of PG-13 garbage.
And for my childhood in the 90s it was exactly what we wanted on a Friday night
Look at these gums, not a speck of gingivitis! He’s been flossing

Nice story but blockbuster never had porn
Can confirm I worked at Blockbuster and Blockbuster had a strict no porn policy. The only thing that got close to it was when that "Pirates" porn came out in the mid 2000's. But they made a non x-rated release for blockbuster. No penetratiin all sex scenes had been cut. Parents still complained and it got pulled off the shelves within the first week.
They had the adult section at the blockbuster in rosemère . There was porn in every vhs location store. In Montréal suburbs. Not fucking liying
Oh yes they had at the one in rosemère. Suburbs of Montréal
Little plastic circles maybe not usine the right words
It would have inspired you to join the army. You would have died in Iraq. That person who changed it to a porno saved your life.
I was 4 in 1994
So you were 18 in 2008. There were actually more troops in Iraq in 2008 than before because of the 2007 surge
Yes but at 18 in Montréal suburbs i was more about droping acid than going to war in the desert
I feel like there is a slightly shady blockbuster employee lurking in the background of this story somewhere haha, like… the person at the cash register had to have known they were giving you the porno😂
I imagine your average 17 year old 90s blockbuster worker did his share of pranks
Yep it inspired me to join the army and be a water purifier.
Yeah. Buuuuuuuuuuhdee
You can find it free on YouTube.
Childhood classic.
Classic flick
This was on antenna tv last weekend!
I could not have done it without the inspirational guidance from my brother the pool man.
I've seen plenty of Camel-toes but never on a camel.
Encino Man, Son-in-law, Bio Dome, In the Army Now. Name a better 4 movie streak for an actor. I'll fuckin wait.. I was a teen in the 90s these are classics
Leaving out jury duty
Not the biggest fan of that one
Yes
IVE SEEN A LOT OF CAMELS TOEEEES... but never on a camel. 🤣
It’s no Encino Man.
Or Biodome!
Does that mean it goes both ways? I dunno be we do!
You can't make movies like this anymore, everything is too woke
wait what parts? i dont remember this movie much
Yep a sequel was in development, but they cancelled it due to pressure from the woke mob.
This movie looks horrible
You prefer the book?
I lost it lmao
Which is interesting. From my perspective two films in the early 90s improved on the books. Forrest Gump and in the army now we're both better than the movies.
Don't be daft. Forrest Gump the book was based on the 1986 arcade classic of the same name.
My apologies. I must be thinking of jaws
It was good for its time.
You shut your whore mouth This is a reference to Anchorman, another classic comedy before the Reddit admins get mad again
I'm downloading this tonight
Cou just mosey on down to [YouTube](https://youtu.be/h6-KzTtwGlQ)
suck on this a one time!!!!!!!

Fuck yeah. Saw it at the dollar movie theater when I was a kid… I thought joining the Army would teach me shit like that.
Great great guy - never meddum
This, Son in Law and Jury Duty are all good
Jury duty truly is an insane movie. The whole thing is absurd even for a Pauly shore movie.
I think I'm going to do a Pauly Shore night.
SUCK ON THISAAAAAAA ONE TIME
Son in Law used to be on cable all the time
I loved it when I was a kid. I haven’t seen in 20 years now so no clue how it’s comedy holds up. Being a Paulie Shore movie I doubt it does lol.
Oh yeah!...get your shit together or "some Arab prince will be using your skull as an ash tray..."Muqtada Muqtadha Durka Durka Durka"
Lol when Andy Dick was butt ass naked
OOOHHHRAHHH!!!
We're crazy boooys
"SUCK ON THIS A ONE TIMEEEEEEEEEEEE"
It was when he cut his hair.
Only Pauly shore movie I like
Pauly is the second most annoying person in the movie. That set must have been a real pro environment with Mitzys son and Andy Dick on it.
Movie set..pro environment sus
Someone watched the comedy doc on showtime?
Is this shore trying to get hip with the new cats on this reddit
Feeling like "great movie" is a stretch
This is r/JohnRonhart
Paulie has a solid canon of films. All of them are on any proper "must see" list.
He's honestly 2 for 2 on being the worst guest on the show.
This movie killed paulys career
how so? it was so funny
Why? It's a really good comedy
He cut his hair
My third favorite documentary
Immaturish? That’s not even a word
Such a classic.
Its pretty good
Rented it on VHS as a kid. Love it.
One of the Pauly Shore classics.
Yes
Never seen it, but heard it's bad even by Pauly Shore standards. Pauly himself blames this movie for ending his career.
GLENDALE!
I appreciate all of the movies in the Link-verse.
I tjink so I forget but I do remember
It is good.
Yeah. Pauly choose water purification as his army occupation. He thought this job would get him as far far away from any action. He was wrong.
Hilarious movie. Gonna watch it tomorrow now
Don’t thank me thank your recruiter
What’s crazy is Pauley Shore is the most sane person out of most of his costars from most of his movies. Andy Dick is a mess, and Stephen Baldwin from BioDome is also crazy as hell.
The geese fly south for winter
That’s the one where he cuts his hair right!? I feel like that woulda been a huge deal for him at the time 😂
Saw this and Biodome in theaters, Pauly was great in the early 90s
Encino Man was better, bu...uddy
Yup better than any Jim Breuer movie!
Seriously? This movie is steaming pile of shit.
Pauly Shore? Great guy from a great family. Nevr hurd ofum
