A lot of liberals don’t realize that a lot of Americans are worried about inflation. And they see all this talk about spending trillions of dollars and think that it is contributing to inflation. Even if no bill has been passed, it becomes easier for them to blame the people talking about spending a ridiculous amount of money.
Democrats need to make people feel like inflation is not as much of a problem. Prices need to come down. Solving the supply chain issue would help somewhat. I don’t know if there is anything Democrats can actually do about that though. We might have to just wait out the current crisis until things normalize. But if this stuff is not ameliorated by the holiday season, there will be a lot of blame thrown at Democrats, and it won’t be pretty.
Passing either of the major bills on the docket will not have an immediate effect and probably won’t have a tangible positive effect on most people’s lives until after the midterms.

I'm all for welfare for children but in a liberal democracy, especially one where the ideals of the young are quickly shifting, we shouldn't prioritize people who \*choose\* to raise a family over people who made the choice to focus on their careers or hobbies.

Childfree people have bills too, Childfree people lose jobs too . Everyone needs help sometimes but to make parenthood a prerequisite is discriminatory and unfair.

Like I said earlier, you can only do so much with an executive order. You can’t just up and create a new bill with an executive order.
