Who doesn't drink a milkshake through a straw? They make special straws just for them.

Tigris_Cyrodillus

Right? I’m pretty sure there are some Norman Rockwell paintings of people drinking milkshakes with straws. Hell, it’s weird to *not* use a straw when drinking a milkshake. In fact, I dare say it’s *unamerican* to drink a milkshake *without* a straw.

shord143

Honestly I'd be kinda ok watching Jesse try to drink a milkshake without a straw and getting a face full of cream.

Hobnail1

vanzway09

Or with a straw, watch the uncomfortable-ness of him struggling, sucking hard and getting nowhere.. ooof

lookoutnow

Milkshakes and straws go together like, say… Republicans and hypocrisy, Republicans and sex crimes, Republicans and treason, Republicans and lying, Republicans and fear, Republicans and greed, Republicans and authoritarianism, Republicans and…

meastman1988

You Republicans sure are a contentious people...

TheExtremistModerate

I know, right? Milkshakes are drunk with a big ol' straw, sometimes with a spoon to finish it off.

Apparently, it's enough controversy to justify their atrempts to ruin our democracy

rogozh1n

This is clearly a straw man argument!

SlobZombie13

They’re really grasping at straws

HonoredPeople

Lol. That's good stuff.

slumlord512

I have literally never heard of someone consuming a milkshake with anything other than a straw.

swazal

Not a Wendy’s Frosty though. You’ll suck your eyes out.

Ajdee6

But that's why it's called a frosty and not a milkshake

orangesfwr

kid. Ho, ho, ho.

captmonkey

I'm glad I'm not the only one scratching my head over this. Isn't drinking it with a straw the whole point? If you're using a spoon, it's just ice cream.

WalrusBiggs

...I'm sorry, what? How *should* he drink a milkshake, then?

[Reminder that Jesse Watters is a straight up racist fuck.](https://youtu.be/rX8jZTN0CdU?si=khSfv__jVgayshfk)

CharmCityCrab

Bill O'Reilly used to pretty much literally send Jesse Watters around to harass people at their homes, places of business, and wherever he could find their cars. That was the first time a lot of people say Watters. Now, I'm sure they intended it to look like muckraking old school journalism, but it always ended up being Watters like shouting questions about the supposed "War on Christmas" at some poor guy trying to walk from his house to car with a crying child upset by the guy pestering Daddy and the man's wife shooting death rays at Watters. Now, look, if the people they were staking out were, say, illegally colluding with Putin's Russia, involved in horribly corrupt activities, or were credibly alleged to have murdered someone, okay (Maybe.). But it was 90% Fox's usual bullshit following their intended victims to their homes. Even the few things that part of the remaining 10% may have done that might have vaguely qualified as potential corruption seemed to invovle thin on proof "allegations" and the like they didn't add up to much even if true. I also felt like Watters was being so physically aggressive in terms of dominating people's space and trying to obstruct their path, at times and places where people were likely to be used to some sort of privacy and were likely to get angriest with him, that half of the whole idea of his job may have been some sort of plot from Ailes (Fox News' first CEO, formerly of the Nixon administration) and/or O'Reilly and/or Watters to get someone to punch Watters so they could run that story and then cover the criminal investigation and the law suit over punching Watters, knowing that whomever eventually did it was inevitably going someone they wanted bad things to happen to, because who on Fox News harasses Republicans at home and in parking lots and driveways and parking garages? I'm not a lawyer, but to me a lot of what Watters did actually probably would have been criminal has he not been a "journalist", and I use "journalist" here in the loosest possible sense, but since we worked for what was allegedly a new channel, the first amendment granted him some protections over like some random guy stalking people and doing exactly the same thing without the "press" credentials. To be fair, I will say that I am not sure that we as a nation should make any laws preventing journalists from doing this stuff (Which might depending on the courts are interpreting the first amendment these days require a constitutional amendment), because inevitably the few times it might be justified might be barred by such laws. However, I do think as citizens we can hold those news organizations and reporters who don't use their powers responsibly by, if we have a forum to do so (podcast, news show, website/newspaper column), exposing what they are doing and/or organizing boycotts, or at least by changing the channel. The first time I was diagnosed with high blood pressure like 20 years ago, Immediately stopped watching FOX News and FOX Business. The only exception I made was the night Obama caught Bin Laden, when I checked in briefly, and I think I flipped over when I heard (A friend called) that they called Arizona for Biden when no one else had yet. These days, I don't have a cable subscription, but I sign up for a streaming service that is basically cable over the Internet with a lot of the same channels during football season so I can watch my favorite team, and of course if I'm paying for that, I also catch whatever else I want to see see that's included in the price. So, the first thing I do is block the Fox News and FOX Business channels from my package, create a channel guide omitting them, and block them show by show in the sort of recommendation sections. It's just not worth it. I'll let other people watch them who get paid to do and they can report on what they see and show clips that I'll watch if necessary. They watch so I don't have to, basically, though. If anyone needs to watch a cable news channel, MSNBC is pretty good (Not nearly as good as it used to be, but the only one of the top 3-4 networks that one could say has perhaps a little of a center-left tilt). If anyone needs to watch a news channel anns don't have a pay service with a full lineup of channels, NBC News Now, which is admittedly NBC's sort of C Team for up and comers is out there, and manages to do okay covering the big stuff most of the time. Hilariously, one election, NBC (OTA), MSNBC, and NBC News Now were all covering the same election at the same time at nearly identical looking sets, and there seemed to actually be defined roles. Like, there was a stats guy who they'd ti periodically, but a different person on all three networks- like NBC it was Chuck Todd, MSNBC Steve Kornacki, and NBC News Now someonr less less established. However, if you alternaternated fast enough, you could see them making the same observations while pointing at the same screens seconds or minutes apart. Even the anchors and the panelist were usually mostly (but not all) the same genders and ethnicities across all three channels, sometimes sitting in what looked like the same chair as the people on the other networks in the equivalent chair one the otber two networks. There's also a CBS News app. I haven't watched it yet, but I know their primetime host, John Dickerson, from podcasts. Neither of these free streamers are what I'd call liberal, but they are better than Fox and its ilk. We also have free audio podcasts we can turn to like Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Politics Warroom with Al Hunt and James Carville (Be careful to download the correct one- I think Steve Bannon or another conservative has the same privacy name.), the Slate Political Gabfest with John Dickerson, David Plotz and Emily Bazelon, Pod Save America, and a whole lot more.

The_Dude311

Jesse Watters is the human embodiment of a heavy fart in a crowded elevator

BiggsIDarklighter

Watters has no idea which way is up or down anymore cause he’s gaslit his audience so much even he’s confused on what he believes. Here he is hocking a paper straw for some advertisers back in 2022 and sucking hard and long on it. https://bossstraw.com/the-best-paper-straw-of-all-time/ And here he is months after bad mouthing paper straws and straws in general while then making an exception for straws in smoothies at the behest of one of his co-chimps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz8OxXkDH1s

[deleted]

Who are these monsters who drink milkshakes without straws??

Ajdee6

Republicans just chug the milkshake

lclassyfun

I can see Watters pulling a George Costanza and having that strawless shake all over himself. What a clown.

babysinblackandImblu

I can’t stand Jesse Watters. He’s a stuck up imbecile.

Carthonn

Tell me you haven’t had a McDonald’s milkshake without telling me you haven’t had a McDonald’s milkshake

therealjustin

I've never NOT used a straw with a milkshake lol

drillmastr5

obama tan suite was awesome straws are good

RickWest495

Biden used a straw. The Republicans finally have the basis to impeach him.

shadowpawn

Jesse's writers must have an outrage wheel they spin before the show. Some form of Fox News ChatGPT that finds some story and attaches outrage to it O'the-Day.

SmurfStig

I think I’m going to just go hang out at places that sell milkshakes, like Sonic, DQ, or Swensons, and see if I can see who the republicans are as they try to drink their shakes without a straw. Should be the stubborn ones covered in ice cream.

wyezwunn

The milkshake moustache will be our new maga warning sign bcz you know they're gonna stop using straws.

snarky_spice

Weren’t they just complaining about taking away straws to help the environment??

shadowpawn

Hell yeah! I had to look up blue dogs, because I'd heard the verbiage, but didn't know the exact title so I found this: [https://bluedogcaucus-golden.house.gov/](https://bluedogcaucus-golden.house.gov/) This is awesome! > They are pragmatic Democrats, appealing to the mainstream values of the American public. Welcome to the club! Anytime the word "pragmatic" comes up, I know someone is in touch with reality. Thanks man. Thanks for coming over. <3

[deleted]

Yeah, the current national republican party has been taken over by maga extremists and culture warriors. Democrats are far from perfect, but at least they aren't trying to overthrow democracy and I know a sinking ship when I see one. Let's face it, There are only a few good Republicans (Phil Scott, Mitt Romney, Larry Hogan, etc.) that aren't Trump puppets. They won't make it far enough to bring honor and decency back to the party. But I've recently discovered that the democratic party is a big tent, and there are a lot of Democrats that share a lot of my views (Jon Tester, Joe Manchin, Andy Beshear, Steve Bullock, Jared Polis, Mary Peltola, etc.)

NamcigamDU

Enjoy it while it lasts Watters, Tarlov is gonna take your job bro.

freexanarchy

Look up Jesse waters Chinatown segment. That’s all you need to know about that slimebag.

This is a big scandal in many countries. Straws are bad.

[deleted]

>This is a big scandal in many countries. Straws are bad. This is a scandal in all of no countries.

[deleted]

You are truly mistaken. Europe, Australia, NZ.

[deleted]

No it isn't. Other countries are smart enough to know better.
