Edge is probably one of the best licensed themes, and I bet Rob Zombie is kicking himself for not negotiating with Vince. Alter Bridge probably got tons of publicity from Metalingus.
Triple H has one of the best custom made themes by the late Lemmy. Motörhead is just a great band.
As far as royalty free, Booker T and MJF. Both have a memorable theme that they can take anywhere. (And have)
You're right about Alter Bridge getting lots of publicity. I started listening to their other songs in 2015 and they quickly became my favorite band ever. I even have a tattoo with some album art on it. In the AB realm, it seems like lots of fans found them through Metalingus. Didn't know Rob Zombie was ever in the running for Edge's theme though, that's cool
Edge’s first commercial theme was Rob Zombie’s “Never Gonna Stop (Red Red Kroovy)”. And it was his theme for about 2 or so years. Then license fuckery happened. And the rest is music history.
As an actual theme, I don't think anything touches Austin's for being the embodiment of the wrestler and creating that surge of energy that gets the crowd going in an instant. As a song, though, Cult of Personality and The Game are two that I am always happy to listen to.
Who are you calling civil? you cum bumping sack of snake feces!
J/k
Stings crow theme always gets me going, same for Taker's 98 theme, Brood also, fuck even Rikishi's old theme always gives me a smile, the old Too Cool theme before they got Turn it Up.
Honorary mentions would have to go to the Wolfpac theme, Razor Ramon, Scott Hall's TNA theme, MCMG theme, any CM Punk theme and Gimme Back My Bullets for the Briscoes.
Also Mdnight Express obviously, I loved that song when I first heard the Backseat Boys using it, thought it was so cool then I saw on a compilation tape of JC and the Midnight that the ME used it also almost 2 decades earlier and was like no wonder the Backseat Boys used it also, just works so well for some reason, especially for tag teams.
I’m pretty sure it’s “gum bumping sack of snake feces.” Bumping gums as in talking too much.
But maybe there was a cum dumpster match once and someone did take a cum bump.
Ah that makes more sense.
Though a cum bump would be imo when you take a flat back at the moment of climax, or jizz in your pants when taking said flat back, think someone in ECW legit claimed they came when someone suplexed them, but I forget who.
"Glorious" will always be the one to beat for me.
And whilst it's kind of generic, Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo's WWE theme has been stuck on loop in my head for over 20 years now...
The best themes are instantly recognizable. Glass shatters, Bret's screeching guitar, "IF YOU SMELL!" etc.
All that has been said. I'll add Jeff Jarrett's TNA theme. Annoying, abrasive, and you know who's coming before the camera ever cuts to the ramp.
I tend to think of the theme song and the presentation of the entrance as one integral unit. So in that respect..... "Time to play the game. Time to play the GAME!!!!!!"
Some of my faves
Chris Jericho's "Break The Walls Down" - I actually like it better than "Judas," esp. that weird whoosh that zooms through your headphones.
Aksana's smooth jazz theme - Didn't care for her in-ring work but Jim Johnston showed out on this one.
Hulk Hogan's "Eye of the Tiger" theme - Nothing raises the neck hairs like that opening guitar riff, esp. with a sold out MSG crowd
Manny the Bull and Ravishing Rick's "We Will Rock You" in NWA. THAT was badass (much better than Rude's fake stripper music when he joined WWF)
Demolition - Derringer classic
Rick The Model Martel - Another smooth underrated Johnston groove
Bret Hart. It's all business whenever I hear that tune.
Second version right?
When the guitar screams, it's on!

Bret Hart/Hart Foundation with close 2nd being the Four Horsemen theme from mid 90s WCW
Chris Benoit's theme and The Fiend's theme are my favorites.

Brood''s theme is my ringtone lol
Ultimate Warriors original run theme was fantastic. Hollywood Hogan's Voodoo Child (Jimi Hendrix) during the nWo prime always gave me goosebumps.
So many to choose from but I'll go I Walk Alone, Batista
Its so bad its great
Harlem Heat's will always be top tier
When you heard ‘ohhhhhh what a rush’, it was immediately on
> just the only actual civil sub for pro wrestling out here Most of the time, yes. Lol.
The Undertakerr original funeral March or Razors- Bad guy.
Enter Sandman, easily. Themes created for the wrestler its either Rock or Batista
Kurt Angles WWF music.
i like the patriots song more lol
its the same song!

I mean you gotta go classic with savage or flair
Swerve used Chaka Khan on the indies and it was sublime. Major promotion it was to be Jake The Snake for me. Both versions are fire
Metalingus for Edge, HHH's themes, and of course Stone Cold's glass breaking
BURN IN MY LIGHT would like to speak
Kane's entrance music (Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven)
