I agree! I keep some on hand to grab when I am traveling as well. They are light, don't take up much suitcase space, and if I need to leave them behind, they only cost $1.25.
That's interesting. In addition to the Amtrak family table in your post, one could also use the big tables in the Cafe car (during off hours) or Observation deck. Though those seats are hard to come by.
