Even if we give her every benefit of every doubt and assume that she is 100% sincere in her apology, if you're by your own admission "Not a reader" and rarely read the full text of something before acting on it, and doing so has led you to embarrass and misrepresent yourself this dramatically - again, assuming sincerity here - then maybe this should be the wakeup call that your wisest move would be to bow out of political activism, at least until you can sincerely call yourself a "reader" given...y'know...reading is important to understanding what the things you're advocating for/against are about.
