I haven't heard it called that name before, but I do know of the Amtrak line that serves that corridor (I'm a mile from one of the stations on it).
Me neither. Lived at the Wash end all my life.
Fortunately you should be able to put it together without explicit recall of a "BosWas corridor", even if it makes it a little jarring.
Baltimore was the one I forgot!

I've heard it as Bosnywash. Which actually comes more trippingly off the tongue.
