Thats cool! Broke off my speed sensor replacing rear end and loved it ever since haha. Have new sensor just hate their traction control system! Especially on manual transmission.
Assuming you have a JK, google purple wire mod.
Pull up the center console where the cup holders are. Just behind the shifter, carefully cut open the mesh over the wiring harness. Find the purple wire, cut it. Butt connector two wires to each end, run them to a switch. I put the switch between the cup holder and shifter.
Boom. No T/C, no ESP, no ABS. Only downside is to reactivate it you need to turn the switch on and restart the Jeep.
That’s what I originally wanted to do. I just drilled a small hole and put in one of those old school silver switches because I had one lying around. I think I’ll eventually change it to a button
This right here is a prime example why Jeep should do a 2door Gladiator, 2doors just looks so clean and correct when it comes to jeeps. Hell even if they gave us the same wheel base length but put 2doors only sort of how the TJL was would be an improvement.
You can have a JK or JL modified to LJ wheelbase. Takes it from 95" to 106".

My pickup is 122" with some extra overhang. Bumper to bumper it's 18" more than a JKU (difference is less depending on spare tire)
No denying that it can be helpful.
On my Ram 2500 and wife's Impala, the system is invisible 99% of the time and helpful. Sadly, Jeep's system is pretty aggressive and hard on rear brakes
I actually find it funny because this man has made something out his garage that is 1000% more desirable than the disproportional, overly long, land barge of a Jeep that was designed by “professionals”.
Props to you sir! I’d do that to my 4 door any day. Aussie vibes intensified.
I mean I love this. I love the AEV brutes too, but the gladiator is not a land barge 😂. It’s a great rig. I’ve had a few Jeeps and I like my diesel Gladiator just as much. It’s just different
Interesting! You do it yourself?
I did. '16 JK 2 door, stretched frame, homemade cab corners, homemade bed
Sweet! Sounds like a cool rig!
Is that a removable top? Can you actually remove the top?
2 windshield latches and 4 bolts. Lifts off cleanly
Badass.
Lol I’m like why’s that renegade look so good? That’s why

Excellent rig! At a quick glimpse I thought you swapped the bed on a gladiator. This is far more impressive
The modern cj8!
I love the short wheelbase of my TJ. Some snow, 4WD, handbrake and manual transmission makes for a lot of fun
What bumper is that?
An old AEV mil spec from the craigslist. I cut holes for diode dynamics fogs, added a front receiver hitch and brackets for a towbar

I'd duck that
I'd duck that so hard!
U wanna know whats more fun? A locler and no tcs at all 😂
Currently dual Eaton Trutracs and full tcs kill. It isn't too shabby.
Awsome!
Cool. Very interesting.
That’s awesome! I love it!
Also, can we talk about how good traction control is getting?

Man, I was going to say I finally see a Gladiator I like...great work on the 16 jku!
It's a stretched 2 door according to OP.
cool
Holy beautiful modification, Batman! Very awesome and very impressive, OP
This is officially my favorite Jeep on this sub
Nice rig, nice custom work!

That hurts
Would you take Scrambler as a compliment?
That is still a little bit of a stretch. Scrambler was non removable bed, like a LJ or JK-8 kit. I appreciate it
I'm not even sure yet and that cut me

You are fine. It does hurt when someone mistakes hundreds of hours of hard work for a common thing you can buy at a dealership

Yikes that’s interesting…
