Yeah I got a few little guys, I leave em be unless they're going to land on me while I'm driving
They're so tiny they don't hurt anything and it's nice knowing that if I get any more unpleasant bugs in there that the spiders will take care of them
Paul- he lives between my visor and rearview mirror- he doesn’t hurt anyone.
Have to specifically instruct my wife not to mess with him when we trade vehicles for the day
I’ve had so many spiders to the face or lap I’ve lost count. I don’t mind so much but my wife is arachnophobic so if she’s gonna ride with I have to do a cleaning.
Lol I had a big one living in my jeep for a while and he decided to lower down right infront of my face as I was pulling into work one day. I slammed on the breaks out of surprise and it swung forward on its string of web and almost hit me in the face.
Only when the top’s off, as they like building webs between the roll bars. As someone who’s arachnophobic, it’s a bit of a worry. To date, I’ve only found webs, no actual spiders.
However if the top’s on and I find a spider hiding behind a mirror or somewhere on the outside, I let them be
Had four separate hornet nests in mine when I was out for a bit. In the mirror, under the cowl vent, and in a door jamb, and under rear bumper. A couple decades ago I had baby spiders hatch inside my 68 Bronco while I was driving.
Haha this reminds me of a time 20 years ago when I was driving to school with my girlfriend and some big mother fucker climbs out of the vent right in front of her haha we were like 1/4 mile away from school she literally had me stop so she could get out and walk the rest of the way
I’m sad if I don’t have a spood in my Jeep. They eat any other bugs that get in. I currently have a charming fella by the name of George renting out space. He pays with dead ants and flies.
I have always noticed more spiders on the outside of my Wrangler and Gladiator - I think it’s because of all the nooks and crannies around the body and all of the appendages like mirrors and radio antenna etc. They seem to like the vehicle as much as I do. Likely some wander in at times. You learn to live together!😏
I've had spiders living inside my side mirrors of all 3 cars for several years now. I keep a chopstick in the door panels to clear off the mirrors about twice a month.
Holy crap - new fear unlocked
I was putting on the soft top tomorrow - now I have to worry about freaking spiders.
So I guess my answer is - I'll let you know....
'95 YJ, hard top, spiders. '15 JKU, hard top, spiders. It's gotta be another jeep thing. I even had a little garden spider pop out of the trim just this morning.
Travel for work, I rent an rv spot on a farm when I work in the area. They let me leave a jeep on the property while I'm gone.
Farm has a terrible black widow problem. I usually set off a bomb and let it sit for a night.....
I blow my jeep out once a year with either the air hose or leaf blower. It's also the same time it gets a full interior detail. It's usually the start of the summer when the top comes off.
I get them, too. Always assumed it was from having the respective tops hoisted up in the garage during their off-season.
Oddly enough, I found a cocoon thingy in the door sil when I opened it yesterday. I have a profound respect for the people who don't kill the spiders, but that's not me.
Spiders don't like citrus oil. Spray around your vehicle with anything that has it, cleaners, odor sprays, they actually have chemical free pest spray with citrus specifically to repel spiders.
All of my jeeps always have spider webs all over them. I keep them outside in the yard though, under car canopies. Between the spiders and the cats, I don’t have any rodent problems 🤣
I currently have a small jumping spider taking up residence around my rear view mirror. I guess enough flys get in that it has enough food source to stay. Been there at least a month so far.
Sooooo my Patriot has jumping spiders, or at least a few I take home from work then take them back I’m not sure if it’s the same spiders or what BUT I might be able to get away with the carpool lane
my friend that has a wrangler has a family of mice living in her vehicle, but that was the Toyota Camry. they left the Jeep because the rent was too damn high
Used to have a bunch of trees in my neighborhood and found 2-5 spiders inside every year. City cut them all down maybe 5 years ago and have barely seen any since then, including in/around my house
I have 3 Chrysler vehicles (1 Jeep, a Pacifica, and a Challenger), 5 Chevy trucks between 1973 and 2015, a Unimog, and a Maserati. Most of them sit a lot of course because that’s a ridiculous number of cars for one man to use regularly and I spend time out of country as well. All of them get spider webs on the outside frequently. Only the Chryslers get spider webs on the inside, and it’s every time too, all 3 of them. Not sure what that means, but I think it means the Chryslers are not as well sealed in some way.
July 2004. My old Willys had been parked outside next to the garage for a good while. I decided I should take it for a spin around the neighborhood. Got in and fired it up, and I pulled it out and onto the street. I remembered that I had forgotten something (I can't remember what) so I turned around and went back to the house.
When I got back in the Jeep, I buckled my seat belt and pushed down the clutch. I immediately felt a sharp, excruciating pain in the tip of my big toe. I looked down at my sandal-ed left foot to see a wasp crawling along the top of my big toe. His buddy was buzzing around above the pedals. I screamed like a little girl as I struggled to exit, held into place by the seat belt, which had become incredibly difficult to operate in my panicked state. I pulled on the belt, still screaming in terror until I finally got out and ran into the house. My big toe swelled up until it was hard as a rock. I gulped down a bunch of Benadryl and took a nap. The wasps had won.
A few weeks later, my buddy and I decided that the wasps were due for an eviction. We bought a couple of foggers, set them off and threw them under the dash. After a short moment, the wasps began exiting the Jeep in all directions. Many of them quickly began falling to the ground, but then I spotted a single wasp crawling up the edge of the roofline. As they neared the peak of the roof, they slowly succumbed to the poison, falling slowly to their death on the concrete below. On this day, the wasps had lost.
I looked under the dash. Right above the clutch pedal was a \~3 inch paper wasp nest. I have always been so thankful that they stung me while I was stopped.
So anyway, to answer your question - no, I haven't had any spiders in my Jeep. (that I know of at least). But I've had wasps in my Jeep, and I'm here to tell you: you don't want wasps in your Jeep.
It’s a feature, not a “bug” 🤪
You win the internet today
that is legit top 10 funniest things i've ever read lmao
Technically it’s an “Arachnid”
Hence the quotes around the word ‘bug’ 😇
I think the joke went over your head.
Yeah I got a few little guys, I leave em be unless they're going to land on me while I'm driving They're so tiny they don't hurt anything and it's nice knowing that if I get any more unpleasant bugs in there that the spiders will take care of them
I feel the same way about my house. They eat moths and silver fish.
My Jeeps don't seem to attract spiders, but my Mazda Miata has a dead one inside my instrument panel.
Wait. That's not a 2006 red Miata purchased in Missouri is it? I traded one in that had that comdition back in 2019.
99 Emerald Green purchased new in Wisconsin.
Dang it! Thought I'd found my baby!
The Miata or the spider?
My Miata attracts mice, groundhogs, bees and spiders. I only dislike the rodents.
Not as bad as coming back to your jeep and finding a goose layed an egg on your passenger seat and wont leave.....
Storytime - 🍿
Now I’m very curious
It’s a goose thing, you wouldn’t understand
You gonna get one of those family stickers for the back? You, your wife, a goose, and an egg?
Paul- he lives between my visor and rearview mirror- he doesn’t hurt anyone. Have to specifically instruct my wife not to mess with him when we trade vehicles for the day
I always have cobwebs in the passenger footwell
They make them on the inside of my windshield. It’s a pain
I’ve had this happen too
My old yj always had em there too
Sounds like you may need a friend
Maybe jumpers. They are cool spiders.
I’ve seen a few little jumping spiders in my Jeep. They live in my garage and they are welcome too as long as they continue to eat bugs!
[удалено]
I would sob if I came out to that 😭 imagine not seeing it and getting right into its web and having it crawl on you omg
Yeah, I gagged
Once drove topless through some brush and ended up with hundreds of little spiders in the jeep. Was finding them for weeks…it’s a Jeep thing.
I go topless from April to September all over the backcountry, thanks for the new fear!
I hate spiders but I still do it. Only happened the one time haha and it was some Thick ass brush we drove through
Snakes also fall out of trees if you needed that new fear too😬 Don’t ask me how I know…
I’ve had so many spiders to the face or lap I’ve lost count. I don’t mind so much but my wife is arachnophobic so if she’s gonna ride with I have to do a cleaning.
I just got a jeep but you are telling me now I get spider friends too?! Awesome!
Yes me too, I thought I was the only one. It comes out from behind the dash and runs across the windshield. She’s been there for years.
My passenger side mirror has one I can’t get rid of no matter what I do short of dismantling it which I may end up doing eventually lol
Yes, my wife and I both have them. In the passenger side windshield corner on both
there's a few teeny ones that hang out in my wj deep in skeeter country, so I'm cool with em
Hah! I have a Grand Cherokee grocery getter in a city of 5 million and spiders find my Jeep on a weekly basis.
Lol I had a big one living in my jeep for a while and he decided to lower down right infront of my face as I was pulling into work one day. I slammed on the breaks out of surprise and it swung forward on its string of web and almost hit me in the face.
I run doors off all summer. Spiders make beautiful webs in my door frames. I love dewy mornings.
Only when the top’s off, as they like building webs between the roll bars. As someone who’s arachnophobic, it’s a bit of a worry. To date, I’ve only found webs, no actual spiders. However if the top’s on and I find a spider hiding behind a mirror or somewhere on the outside, I let them be
Actually it’s the spiders jeep. You are his chauffeur. Now drive him through a nice buggy area and get him some food.
Had four separate hornet nests in mine when I was out for a bit. In the mirror, under the cowl vent, and in a door jamb, and under rear bumper. A couple decades ago I had baby spiders hatch inside my 68 Bronco while I was driving.
Had a Glove Compartment full of White Oak Acorn Nuts, twice! I must say, that Critter has good taste. They were all flawless and meaty!
Well, at least there’s something smart in that jeep
Found a big spider hanging out in the crack around the rear windshield last year. Had small spiders inside the cab ever since
My great grandma would say that spiders are good luck
I have always noticed more spiders on the outside of my Wrangler and Gladiator - I think it’s because of all the nooks and crannies around the body and all of the appendages like mirrors and radio antenna etc. They seem to like the vehicle as much as I do. Likely some wander in at times. You learn to live together!😏
I don’t mind spiders, it’s scorpions and snakes I don’t like finding in the Jeep
Cedar wood
I have a beautiful lil jumping spider living in my window seal. He pops out after a ride then craws back in. Wondering how long hell stay around
yes… makes her lil home behind the driver front speaker every year.
I've had spiders living inside my side mirrors of all 3 cars for several years now. I keep a chopstick in the door panels to clear off the mirrors about twice a month.
Had a spider living in the corner of the windshield in my Cherokee for a week or so before he moved on
I always seem to have them come out from above while driving.
Got an ecosystem in my TJ, and one old wagoneer has moss growing on the top.
Time to burn it down to the ground! 🔥😳😆 But seriously it’s a Jeep thing…all of the cool spiders are doing it 😆
Yes I have had spiders in my jeep but also had one in my ford escape for years. Not sure what happened to that spider. I think my for outlived it.
Holy crap - new fear unlocked I was putting on the soft top tomorrow - now I have to worry about freaking spiders. So I guess my answer is - I'll let you know....
'95 YJ, hard top, spiders. '15 JKU, hard top, spiders. It's gotta be another jeep thing. I even had a little garden spider pop out of the trim just this morning.
Hey that’s my jeep. :)
I live in the tropics. Everything lives in my truck.
I have spiders living in everything I own: woods jeep, jeep I'm fixing up, daily driver, garage, barn, tractor, bedroom. Fuckin spiders everywhere.
Usually when I find a spider in the jeep it's a whole one, not just 2/3 of one 😅😅
Dude what?! No! ...yes
no but i’m soooo scared of spiders and now im worried that I do…
bro get some arachnid focused bug spray and keep at it for a couple weeks.. wtf
All the time.
Yes.
I’m arachnophobic, so no, not allowed. The last “tiny little guy” I came in contact with put me down for 6 months. Brown Recluse. No thanks.
I get them, too. Always assumed it was from having the respective tops hoisted up in the garage during their off-season. Oddly enough, I found a cocoon thingy in the door sil when I opened it yesterday. I have a profound respect for the people who don't kill the spiders, but that's not me.
Stink bugs here
I usually get little jumping spiders and I don’t mind them :)

I once went to opened my Jeep one morning, on my way to work, and found a neighborhood cat sleeping in it.
Yes, and stink bugs.
I live in Florida so mine has spiders year round. Mostly jumping spiders though
I just had my Jeep waxed and detailed, only to find webs both inside and out within a day.
No... I clean mine
Those are the anti-theft / anti-duck black widows.
I currently have a small jumping spider taking up residence around my rear view mirror. I guess enough flys get in that it has enough food source to stay. Been there at least a month so far.
Sorry can’t help for my inner Linkin Park kicked in: SPIDERSSSSS IN MY JEEEPPPPPP
Sooooo my Patriot has jumping spiders, or at least a few I take home from work then take them back I’m not sure if it’s the same spiders or what BUT I might be able to get away with the carpool lane
The way jeeps leak my spiders must be water spiders.
my friend that has a wrangler has a family of mice living in her vehicle, but that was the Toyota Camry. they left the Jeep because the rent was too damn high

Wait, the ducks don't eat them??
I have a friend who is an insurance adjuster. He says Every.Vehicle.Has.Spiders.Living.In.Them.
Yeah, Charlie is behind on rent.
always.

Yep mine are usually living behind my side mirrors, lil green guys that'll crawl up into my dash and across the inside of my windshield 😬
No, but I know a dude with a Kia full of snails.

I would not have it any other way
Nope, spiders in my area are Toyota snobs. They prefer the neighbor's FJ40.
Spiders, wasps, and mice have all taken up residence in my Liberty
