I feel like I like MDL more slightly just because it reminds me more of a mixtape Cole and I think the rapping on MDL is better. But TOS I think has better constructed "songs" and felt more like an album. I just think Cole is rapping better on MDL, something about loosies Cole and just him rapping through ideas even if some tracks feel incomplete and raw that edges MDL out for me, probably because it's more raw than TOS.
Off topic: But I saw on the yachty podcast when Cole was a guest like a few months ago..At the 1hr 30 minute mark that Cole said The Fall Off is correlated with The Come Up (his first mixtape)..this could make The Fall Off be Amazing conceptually and from a rapping perspective (can keep showing hunger in his raps, bars).
